While Alo took to the gnome, Soryn made sure to move nearby and search the area around the woman for any more signs of what he assumed now were the kobolds or any reason as to why they attacked the gnome. Most likely not finding anything noteworthy, however, he simply waited for Alo to see if he could bring the woman back to consciousness. She would be able to provide much more valuable information than he could with his tracking skills.

Soryn

During your search, you also discover a piece of paper with a single large split-toed footprint, apparently made when a rainsoaked foot stepped on the parchment. Aside from that, you find no other clues about the culprit.

Soryn

He moves to pick up the paper immediately, taking a good look at the print but casually looking to see if there was any writing on the paper or if he could deem it important at all.

The paper is blank aside from the footprint. Considering the mass of other papers strewn about, you think it probably belongs to the message station's supply.

Gorfan

Upon gazing around the station the dwarf indeed knew that the culprit, assumedly a kobold judging by the tracks upon the floor of the place, ventured to the Sivis message station with keen purpose...looking at the ink-strewn floor and the scattered documents the cleric could come to no definitive conclusions on the matter. That could wait for the moment, as the female gnome clerk was in seemingly dire need of healing...

"Before we progress any further, we must bring this gnome back to the world of the living" Gorfan said rather gruffly to Alo as he went about healing the fallen clerk upon the floor.

Gorfan manages to rouse the gnome to a state of consciousness. She stuggles to sit up and then get to her feet. "The Messages! I must check the messages!"

Gorfan

The healing touch that he had long possessed was still predominant within him, and he was moreso reassured of this when he viewed the clerk struggling to her feet. Whatever tidings she might hold of her assailants, Gorfan intended to find out when she was back to full awareness in some way or form.

"What messages do you mean? My companions and myself came here only to find you unconscious upon the floor with documents strewn everywhere..."

Barmin Tower, Sivis Message Station

The gnome regains her feet and heads over to the desk. "This is a Message Station! We send and receive messages. I need to make sure they are all ok. And I know it wasn't you. It was a band of kobolds. Four of the vile creatures."

She starts rifling through several stacks of papers.

Soryn

"Do you think you may know why they attacked?"

Simple question now that the woman was back up. It was odd for them to attack this place without some sort of goal right?

Barmin Tower, Sivis Message Station

"They were led by a big person, in a cloak. About your size, but bigger. Anyways, he asked about any messages for you." she points to Alo.

"He had a really deep rumbling voice. Sounded really threatening, and the kobolds listened to him without question.

Anyways, it was amazing that he asked about your messages, since I had just scribed one from the speaking stone. I must've glanced at the scroll in my hand, because the next instance, the guy in the cloak snatched the scroll and knocked me out. Thats the last thing I remember."

While she tells her story, she checks the rest of the messages, and the precious speaking stone, which other stations like these use to communicate. Apparently, nothing else was taken. Not even the handful of coins in the till.

Soryn

As the woman pointed at Alo, he arched a brow and wondered what kind of important message that could have been and in obvious curiousity, he quickly asked.

"Do you remember anything that the message stated?"

If they figured out something more about the message, then the reasoning behind this whole mess might seem a bit clearer.

Barmin Tower, Sivis Message Station

The woman shakes her head. "We are trained to transcribe a message and immediately forget its contents. I have no idea what the message said."

Soryn

It would seem he would be the one dominantly asking questions to uncover the reasoning behind this whole situation for now. "Do you know in which direction they went?"

In all truth, he was running out of valid questions here but rather then get frustrated he would simply stop asking. It seemed to have nothing to do with him anyway. Whatever Alo was doing on his off time must have caused him to make some enemies...and he would not be drawn into that mess for no reason at all.

Soryn

"Where or who was this message sent from?"

He figured finding whoever sent the message might be helpful in this regard. That way the message could still be rightfully delivered to the now deprived wizard
