Ruins of Dorasharn

The group begins moving along then....

{OOC: Someone want to give me some direction on where you are going? I assume north still. If that is incorrect let me know. I'll update the map in the morning either using that assumption, or whatever new information is given.}

Ruins of Dorasharn

As you travel farther north, you come upon two other structures. One appears to be a large stone column which Gorfan can immediately tell maintains the structural integrity of the cave. The other is another building which, like the temple, appears to be completely intact.

Alo

Alo's attention was drawn towards the building, and he walked towards it.

((Any markings or interesting features?))

House Cannith Foundry

This building appears to be the foundry you have been seeking. The stone walls look thick and sturdy. On the west side of the building is a pair of heavy double doors made from some kind of metal. The same icon that appears on the journal is etched on both sides of the double doors.

Soryn

"Doesn't hurt to look..."

The rogue was already making his way, as cautious as ever for he was no fool. For this one moment, he trusted Ahlias would have his back unless the warrior decided to advance ahead of him. Whatever the case was, if nothing prevented them from getting within reach of those doors, the symbol would immediately be noticed and the first thing that came to mind would prompt him to initiate a check for traps, maintaining distance just the same.

Trap Search for door area 1d20+5 = 10

You find no traps. You do find a lock which looks to be of the highest quality you've ever seen. The door is made of some very high quality metal. You aren't sure what type, but you know its stronger than normal iron.

Soryn

Reaching the door, the search he initiates leads him to believe that there are not any traps. Nevertheless, relying on the fact that there is still a dose in the font left, he braves the last few feet and looks at a lock he finds upon the door. Focusing quickly, he sees no other alternative other than attempting to open the lock on his own, uncovering some of his tools and beginning work.

"This might take me a while."

((Taking 20 on Open Lock))

Foundry

Soryn spends a good two minutes on the lock. He's tries everything he's ever learned about picking locks but still, he finds no success. This is one amazingly clever lock.

Soryn

Upon failure, Soryn places his tools back into their original position and sighs before stepping aside and eyeing Ahlias, remembering the symbols shown upon the door which automatically made him assume that the warrior could do something about this annoyance. "Have at it...."

A hand motion over to the door and he immediately stepped away from the door, waiting on the man to do something about this.

Alo

Alo watched the slow process as they tried to open the door. What did he know about locks? Nothing, so he just watched, and kept an eye out for any more warforged.

Gorfan

The dwarven cleric stood to the side and pondered how Ahias and Soryn were going to unlock what appeared to be the door to the foundry that they were seeking. From what little he knew of locks, he knew that this lock that the rogue attempted to open was of the highest quality so this was a puzzle not easily solved.

{OOC: Magus hasn't posted in a few days... if anyone gets ahold of him, get him over here.}

Ahlias

Ahlias takes out the journal and hands it to Soryn. "It worked last time. Try it again."

Soryn

Remembering vaguely about how the warrior opened that last door, he moves the book closer to the door, placing it directly against one of the same icons and searches for any kind of reaction from the metal obstacle before them.

Soryn

Confused and most obviously annoyed, he attempts to open the book to cycle through it...hoping to find something of value that might help them get in. Whether or not that is successful, he turns to Alo and the cleric to see if they have any valuable input at all.

The book is mostly scripts from the college professor about the schema itself, instead of the foundry. A brief scan reveals nothing interesting in the book.
