Fortus

Fortus smiles again and replies,"I'm Fortus Gorreldan, artificer student of Allustan and recently-turned adventurer...I'm after a masterwork tool that would suit the needs of weaponsmithing"

The artificer again looked over the vast array of multi-purpose tools around the shop with a quick appraisal and then looks to Manlin Osgood for his response.

Osgood Smithy

Manlin strokes the side of his large mustache for a moment. "Fortus, a plesure to meet you. Very well then. You'll need these for weaponsmithing. Just be careful that you don't cross paths with old Ebberly. More likely than not, he'll have a bone to pick with you not just buying from him. No worries though. He's harmless enough. Just gets to be a bit of a nuisance sometimes. A regular nice guy usually."

He hands you the appropriate tools for your craft.

"How do you like the feel of those? Nice and sturdy, yes? Finest quality you'll find. Even House Cannith can't make a better set."

Fortus

Fortus looks upon the sturdily-made tools before him and knew them to be of good enough quality to befit his weaponsmithing. He looked at Manlin and said,"These tools would fit my weaponsmithing perfectly...and they are of sturdy make as you say...how much does this set of tools cost?"

Slade

As another returned, he simply gazed at him calmly while he still continued to work on clearing debris {OOC: I am assuming its still in the time explained before so its not extra time}

Fortus was still not back yet so he assumed that he could continue working anyway until they all arrived.

Hazrad

Upon arriving at the run-down office, he looked around for something to do. Slade had cleared part of the interior, and apparently the chimney. He looked over to the well, and now wished he had bought a bucket while in town so that he could clear the well. Well, in any case, he begins searching the rubble pulled out of the house by Slade for anything that could remotely hold water.

Searching rubble for a bucket...or something (1d20+2=10)

He began to answer Mohan's question in his usual baritone. "None as of yet"

That was exactly when Hazrad decided to join them. The cleric then began to search around for something so he let him go about his business.

He ended up fruitless. Unfortunately the well would remain stagnant for the time being. He nodded to Slade and asked, "You seem to have accomplished quite a lot" as he started to clear out debris as well.

Slade

"No reason to remain idle here while in wait of your return."

He tried to be as efficient as ever...no matter what he was doing...a well-oiled machine-like being. At least then he knew he would be of use with his tireless frame.

Hazrad

He considered that while carting an armful of debris outside. "I can understand that, I often have a lot of idle time during the day while everyone is working in the mines. I usually end up just going to the docks and fishing, minor past-time, but it helps the long hours pass before the night rush comes when all the filthy blaggards get dragged out of the bars and to my shack. That's actually how I met Jaiden. She was always in there, cut up, beat up, battered and bruised. But she always seemed to be on the healthy side compared to the poor sod she usually had tossed over her shoulder like a sack of grain. Poor fellows never seem to learn not to agitate her. Of course, I think she might initiate the brawls once in a while for her own benefit, I think she likes fighting more than anything at times. She's a strange creature, don't you think?"

Slade

"She seems to enjoy inciting her own battles. I dont consider it anything beneficial for us, but she must have been picked by Mohan for a reason. I apologize for not thanking you for your services before either. Fortus alone did not save me from that fall earlier. It seems your relationship with her is pretty much the same as the one I have garnered with Fortus. Perhaps these similarities are anything but chance..."

Hazrad

"Anything could be possible really, the Host guides us all in many ways. Though I do admit that I do not agree with her violence and conflict seeking ways, I of course am, by prefrerance a pacifist. I prefer to find ways to avoid violence and fighting, even though sometimes it is unavoidable and sometimes necessary to resolve certain issues.
I actually came from the Talenta plains, although I never was the warrior my father wished I would be. I just was never that good with weapons, not really strong enough. Instead I took after my mother and became a cleric of the Host. Strange things happened and I ended up here in Diamond Lake.
So how did you get here?"

Ahhh, conversation while working.

Slade

"My entire existence revolves around battle. I was created for that sole purpose during the war that had arisen. Fighting comes naturally to me as does working for the betterment of the surroundings around me. The Silver Flame has rewarded me numerous times with victories over the years and I seek to protect those who cannot protect themselves. The Garrison is my means to this end, but it alone is not enough. Remaining here...is not enough"

Conversation indeed.

Hazrad

He paused for a moment, and thought about what the warforged had last said, "The Garrison is my means to this end, but it alone is not enough. Remaining here...is not enough"
"You know, I think I feel the same way. All I do in Diamond Lake is the same thing everyday. I feel as though there is something more that I could do, become better at healing, come closer to the Host. It seems as though this may be a good starting point."

Mohan walked back into the office with wood and kindling, then using the flint and tinder he always carried, he started to light a fire in the hearth. Now the chimney was clear, he would be able to do so without smoking the place out.

"I knew you wanted more from life than guarding miners, that is why I thought you would wish to join us. Jaiden is. How to put it. In touch with her inner beast. We both are by virtue of what we are, but hers is much closer to the surface. Probably why she is so often in need of you Hazrad."

Mohan joined the conversation as he skinned his rabbit and prepared to cook it over the fire.

Abandoned Officed

Mohan's meal begins to cook, and soon the succulent smells are wafting through the entire building, watering the mouths of those who care to eat.

Fortus

Fortus put his hand into his pouch that he received from the generous Tidwoad and handed Osgood 50 galifars.

"Here's the money for the tools...and many thanks Osgood!"
