Jaiden

"Pleasure." She smirked. Did she really want a list of what Jaiden's plasures were? Eyeing the woman, she decided against aggrivating her any further, as this job did it enough. "Something thick and hearty that died this morning."

The Feral Dog

The woman nods and shuffles off towards the kitchen area. She brings back a tankard of mead and a thick stew. She slops your meal on the table and leaves without another word. Apparently, she's not the talktative type.

Jaiden

Lounging back, she thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Nonchalantly she listened to others, only looking for any interesting or pertinent information that might relate to their search of the cairn, or impending dangers that they might be facing.

The Feral Dog

Jaiden eavesdrops on a group of patrons for a bit, and she finds out that no one has seen Mestal Fixx, Balabar Smenk's right-hand man, in more than two weeks. "I might be imaginin' things, but Smenk seems more on edge lately. I wonder if something big is about to happen?" one of them says.

By the time she hears this rumor, she's finished her meal. The wench comes back and takes her plate.

Jaiden

"How much." She inquired to the waitress as to the cost of her meal. After paying, she left the Feral Dog and headed to Venelle's. She wanted to see if there were any additions to her weapons that she could add (especially to her axe) that might give her the most powerful weapon she'd ever had.

Mohan

"So dealing with them, especially if it is a nest would benefit the town. Any suggestions on how to kill them? They sound alittle more tricky than a wolf or a dire rat."

Garrison Watch Tower

Merris shrugs. "Wouldn't hurt, I suppose. If you see one or two of them, stepping on them works fine. Just don't do it with bare feet. If you got a swarm though, and aren't worried about burning a building down, you might want an Alchemist Fire or three?"

Mohan

"Thanks. Well I'd best be about my business. Farewell"

Mohan went down into the town, and sought out a supplier of alchemist's fire. He would buy one flask of the magical weapon, as well as two hempen ropes and three torches.

((Should cost 22gp and 3cp))

Fortus

Fortus approaches the dwarven lender smiling slightly and states,"Greetings, I wish to take out a loan of 50 galifars for the purcahse of a masterwork tool needed for my artifcing...here is my letter of backing" The artificer added as he stated his business to Tidwoad d'Kundurack.

Tidwoad d'Kundurak's Bank and Gemstore

The dwarf nods. "Aye. And what be in it fer me?" he says as he looks over the note.

He gives a sharp whistle, and from another room, a gnome comes out. There is a strange discoloration that creeps up out of the gnome's shirt and partway up his neck. It might be a tattoo, but if so, it would be one of the most intricate you've seen.

The gnome takes the note and begins to examine it. Tidwoad turns his attention back to you, waiting for an answer.

Fortus

"Recently my adventuring companions and myself have been exploring a once-unknown cairn not far from Diamond Lake; and there is the distinct possibility that there are further valuables within the deeper confines of the cairn that myself and my companions have not explored much yet...and if the exploration goes well the 50 galifar loan could be paid back to you in due course and a part of the galifar value of the valuables found would also be forwarded to you alongside the repayment of the loan"

Fortus anxiously awaited the response of the reputable banker.

((OOC: LOL!))

Tidwoads

Tidwoad looks to the gnome for a moment. The gnome gives the note back with a nod.

Tidwoad takes out two cups and bottle. "Glass of Milk?"

He pours a thick murky liquid into a cup. If Fortus says yes, he'll pour a second. "I'm sure we can come to some sort of deal. 50 Galifars? Fine! At 20% interest! Ye'll pay me 60 by the end of the month. Agreed?"

Fortus

"A glass of milk would be most refreshing at this hour thanks" Fortus replied nodding earnestly, and briefly considered the banker's offer for a moment and made his reply.

"50 galifars for the loan and 60 galifars before the end of the month would be most reasonable"

Tidwoad's

The dwarf slides a cup of the drink towards Fortus. "Fine, Fine! FESTUS!" He bellows.

A statue in the corner of an armored golem comes to life... or perhaps it was always animated, and just holding still before... Either way, it stomps over to the dwarf and stops next to him. The dwarf reaches up and opens a compartment in the front of the construct. He draws out a small pouch and tosses it into your lap. "We have an agreement. Anything else I can interest you in?"

Fortus

Fortus bemusedly takes the pouch of coins given to him by the dwarven banker as he glances at the armoured golem curiously for a moment or two. The artificer took a long pull of his milk...which was quite creamy to say the least and said,"Nothing else that you have that I need at this time d'Kundurack, so gracious thanks for your generous loan and I shall do well to repay the required money by month's end" With that Fortus drank the remainder of his milk.

The young man then picked himself up and placed the pouch in his belongings. Fortus then said,"Good day to you good sir, and if I may say so, your armoured golem is of good make it seems to me...do not hesitate to call upon me at some later time if he needs repairs"
