Outside Diamond Lake

With everyone on board for the adventure, each person makes their way towards the designated meeting area at the abandoned manager's office at or around Noon.

Mohan is already there.

{OOC: Ok, We'll fast forward a bit since everyone has joined in. Go ahead and post your arrivale at the office. Be sure to read the past posts I've given describing the area and look at the map supplied.}

When the others arrive, they find Mohan sat outside the ruined office's main door, roasting a rabbit over a fire.

Hazrad

He rolled his eyes. It figured. Now. He went into the second room, and opened the chest at the foot of his bed, and pulled out the dusty, worn old canvas * leather backpack he still had. He loaded into it his healing kit, identification papers, ten bolts in their case, and an oil flask. He was already wearing his leather armor underneath his clothes, and by lashing his old flanged mace to his waist, the crossbow over his back, and grabbing his hooded lantern in hand, he was ready quickly.

He paused for a moment to write his partner a quick note, saying that he was out for probably a few days. Nothing to really worry about. They had occasionally been called upon to venture outside of the city to lend aid, especially to farmers in the near-by lands.

He looked up to Jaiden, and nodded. "Then let us be on our way.

***~~~***

Once they had arrived, the halfling was in a slightly better mood. Perhaps she was right, that they needed to get out of that squalid town. Perhaps the smell of fresh meet that wasn't coming from the confines of a rancid tavern had a hint of something to do with it, but in any case, Hazrad was salivating at the sight of the rabbit on the spit.

There wasn't much he needed to prepare for. No food, no water...nothing was needed to keep him alive. He was a being built for excessive labor and he did not truly know what to expect. He gathered his usual belongings and met with Fortus promptly where he said he would before travelling with him to the intended location. It wasn't hard to find the clawed marks nor was it hard to be guided directly to the office area though he remained outside where Mohan was once he got there, as statuesque as always without saying one word. He wasn't much of a talker...at least not to anyone but Fortus on occasion.

The place he came up to seemed rather worn down but he payed no mind to it. It was simply a meeting place and nothing more thus far.

{OOC: Posted with Raharanor's Permission...}

Fortus

Fortus gazed at the decrepit building up and down with an air of disgust at the ill-kept nature of the building alongside the rest of the town. He then turned his attention to his travel companions before him. He maintains a stoic silence for now, matching Slade's quiet presence. He'd wait to see what was said before adding his own input.

((Pssst. Tiff. Mohan is outside))

Mohan

"You made it, and you found others. Good. Well then, introductions first. I am Mohan." He recognised the two others, but he could not put a name to them.

Hazrad

Nodding as he side stepped some large rocks he nooked to the otheres and introduced himself, "I am Hazrad Thwamgale d'Jorasco.

Slade

"This is Fortus. He will be a definite asset"

That is all that needed to be said. If Fortus wanted, he could give the rest of his name.

Fortus

You don't find anything more than what Mohan found as far as valuables go.

However, because of your familiarity with Architecture, you can pick our more details about the building and what needs to be done to repair it. You take a perusal through the entire building and take stock of whats needed.

By your estimates, if you were to hire someone, it would take about 3 weeks, and a little less than 500 pieces of gold, plus materials. Fortunately, most of the materials here look usable, so it wouldn't cost that much.

Of course, you could always do the work yourself. Nothing here is beyond your abilities. And it would go faster if you had help on the labor.

The Yard itself could be cleaned up with about 20 man hours. Fortunately, most of the debris littering the yard looks like its in good enough condition to salvage. With the materials here, you would be able to rebuild the outhouse easily. The well looks like it is servicable, although there is no bucket. The water is clean, although a bit brackish.

Next, you examine the exterior of the house. Both of the exterior doors are hanging off their hinges , but could be repaired in about an hour. The locks are rusted beyond repair though. New ones would need to be purchased.

Clearing out the debris from the collapsed porch and the interior of the house would take about 40 man hours. Repairing the structure itself would be a bit of a chore, but again, reusing the existing materials keeps it from costing more than 50 GP. The second floor would require the majority of this work.

The windows are beyond repair and would need to be replaced, or boarded up. The last you checked, windows cost about 2 GP at the general store. You figure you could install them with about an hour's work apiece.

The basement could be cleared of debris in about 20 man hours.

Once everything is cleaned out, you could renovate the first floor with about 40 hours of labor, and 50 GP in supplied. The second floor would be a more intense project, and with a bigger need for material, would likely cost about 100 GP worth of lumber and masonry.

Afterwards, its just a matter of stocking the place with necessary furniture, and supplies. You figure you could get reasonable beds, rugs, food and other goods enough to make the place really livable for 200 GP. That would basically make it suitable for bed rest, and shelter. Spending up 1000 GP would make the place quite luxurious, suitable for entertaining the local lords and upper society.

The Yard
Clearing Debris = 20 hours of labor. Result is that the Yard is normal terrain instead of rough terrain.
Repairing Well = Cost of a new bucket, and 1 hour to clear out stale water.
Repairing Outhouse = DC 10 Craft(carpentry) until value reaches 20 GP. No material cost needed.

The Building
Front Door = DC 15 Craft(Carpentry) Check, and an hour of labor. Optionally, purchase a new lock and install.
Back Door = Same as Front.
Stats: Wooden Door = 1.5 in. Thick; Hardness 5; HP 15; Break DC 18
Stone Walls = 1 ft thick; Hardness 8; HP 90; Break 35; Climb 20 (15 w/ vines)

Clearing Debris from around building and the second floor = 40 hours of labor
Repair Outter Structure = DC 15 Craft(Stoneworking) until value reaches 200 GP. This results in the walls on the first floor, including living room and porch. Matterial Cost of 20 GP
Repair Second Floor Structer = DC 15 Craft(stoneworking) until value reaches 500 GP. Material cost of 50 GP.
Replace Windows = 1 hour of labor each. Material cost of 2 GP each for new glass.

The Interior
Clear Chimney - 1 hour of labor
Clear Debris - 20 hours of labor
Renovate 1st Floor = 40 hours of labor. Material cost of 50 GP.
Renovate 2nd Floor = DC 15 Craft(Carpentry) until value reaches 200. Material cost of 100 GP.
Furnishing and supplies = 200 GP of material.
Furnishing lavishly = 1000 GP of material. Gives a+2 Diplomacy and Intimidate bonus while inside the house.

Cost of Hired Labor
Cleaning the Debris = Laboror = 1 SP per day cost = 8 hours of labor done per day
Repair Outhouse = Carpenter = 3 SP per day cost = 18 SP worth of crafting per day
Craft(Stonework) = Mason = 3SP per day cost = 27 SP worth of crafting per day
Renovate 1st floor = Limner = 6 SP per day cost = 8 hours of labor done per day
Renovate 2nd floor = Carpenter = 3 SP per day cost = 27 SP worth of crafting per day

Materials still need to be paid for, roughly 400 GP.
Adding an Architect costs an additional 5 SP per day, but makes the outhouse go at 20 SP per day and the other crafsters go at 30 SP per day.
Due to limitations on available labor, only 6 carpenters and 8 stone carvers are available at a time.

Assuming you go for the max, All together, 87.5 GP and 21 days of work, and 400 GP of material.

Jaiden (Erased last post because she's a freaking retard.)

She didn't bother with introductions but scanned the area while the others made general conversation. When she realized that they were considering cleaning up the place she looked to Mohan with a raised brow. "You cannot be seriously considering staying here." Though he hadn't said anything to that notion, she had a feeling that staying here is what he was thinking of. She never liked the idea of being held up in one place. It was too easy of a target. What was more beneficial than to have everyone inside a building that could be easily surrounded and attacked. As far as she was concerned, she'd just sleep in the forest.

Mohan

"I think they are jumping ahead of themselves, but it might be useful for something in the future. What I actually have in mind involves leaving here." He stood up and waited for the others to be paying attention.

"Right then. I saw on an old map yesterday that there is another cairn a short distance to the east of here. I had never heard of it before, and I do not think many others have either. It should still be as it was when first it was closed up. I would have told the two of you about it fully last night." He nods to Jaiden and Slade "but I feared word would get out."

Jaiden

At that moment she wanted to reach out with a single hand and lift him from the ground. She saw herself strangling him just until he nearly blacked out. With a blank stare her eyes darkened as he just flatly stated that he didn't trust her. She could care less what he thought about Slade, but he didn't trust her to keep something quiet? He just basically told her that she was a blabber-mouth? At least that's how she took it.

He would regret that statement.

"So you've commissioned us to assist you in this...quest..." The jade eyes darkened even more. "And you need each of us for a certain purpose, essentially to ensure that you don't die...but you don't trust us enough to tell us where we're going or why?" She took a step towards him and began to act on instinct as he had just severely insulted her.

Hazrad

He put a hand on her knee, in order to calm her emotions. "Hold it Jaiden. Consider where you talked to him about this. Most likely, in a tavern, where many others would likely have listened in on. It is not you who he fears speading words, but those who may as well have overheard him. You know this town more than I do on that front."

With her temper, he had often wondered if the spell commonly referred to as "Calm Animal" would work on her....

Jaiden

Her anger had already begun to build at this point. With her personality it didn't take much to set her off and she felt that she had been insulted. She loathed being disrespected. By him stating what he had, she felt as if he'd just spit on her. She barely heard Hazrad's words before her fist was moving of it's own accord.

Hazrad may have been right, thinking back on it, but Mohan could have stated that he didn't want to tell them in case someone overheard. That would have been a better statement rather than saying "I would have told the two of you about it fully last night...but I feared word would get out." That was a slap in the face, so she was going to return the favor.

Face Punch @ Mohan (1d20+4=23)

{OOC: Ok, we'll call that her surprise round.

Mohan takes (4 nonlethal dmg).

Um... Roll Initiative?

Both Mohan and Jaiden need Initiative. Anyone else who plans on joining in needs to do the same.}

He had returned from searching around with Fortus, inevitably discussing a few things with him really quick before returning to the group in time to hear Mohan speak. The warforged, emotionless as always, simply listened in on the words and found reason in everything that the shifter spoke of.

Standing there, he remained silent. Nothing needed to be said anyway...just yet as he waited for Mohan to continue...that is until he saw Jaiden attack Mohan. He knew little of Jaiden but he immediately thought of this fight as useless and decided to enter this skirmish and end this.

Initiative to stop fight 1d20+4 = 5

Apparently he would be a bit too slow to snuff this flame from the get go.

He began drawing upon the Host's power as he stepped back from both of them, out of their immediate reach. He prepared to cast Command, with the Halt order. If Jaiden continued, or if Mohan retaliated, he would attempt to stop them cold.

However, he also would rather not resort to that, he yelled as loud as he could, "Cease this senseless violence Jaiden! Use your logic or by the Host..."

Initiative? (1d20+1=21)
