Round 8
Concluded

Brass and Soryn both fail the save, and feel the same effects as Alo. {OOC: Standard action only each round.}

Brass manages to land a solid hit. Unfortunately, the damage dealt is not enough to overcome the abilities of the wolf to absorb punishment.

Round 9
Begin

{OOC: Same Init and Map.}

Round 9
Continued

Lowthor fires off a shot that he almost hits, but he has to spoil his own aim to avoid hitting his companions.

Gorfan doesn't even get close to hitting the wolf this time around.

Round 9
Concluded

Brass misses, but he opens up enough of a window that Soryn is able to score another hit that leaves a lasting scar on the wolf.

The wolf turns towards Soryn and attacks. The wolf digs his obsidian teeth into the rogue's hide. (11 dmg)

{OOC: Actually, I don't know if he hit or not, because you didn't post your AC, but I'm going to assume that it did.}

Round 10
Begin

Round 10
Continued

Alo fires a shot with precision accuracy. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough power behind the shot to dig through the stoney flesh of the wolf and find some actual meat.

Gorfan's shot doesn't even get close to scoring a hit.

Round 10
Concluded

Brass misses, again. And as he completes his swing, he can feel the magic of Alo's spell fading. His strength returns to normal.

Soryn finds another weak point in the wolf's armor, and with the final stab, the Half-Stone Golem gives up its unnatural life and collapses into a heap of rubble.

End of Battle

{OOC: Brass, I had to go back and re-calculate your damage, since you weren't including the STR buff. One swing that was a miss turned out to be a hit. my recalculation shifted its HP from 11/17 to 1/17. That made Soryn's hit good enough to kill it. Constructs die at 0.

For those of you who were affected by the Slow effect, it lasts for 7 rounds(less than a minute) before wearing off. I trust you to guestimate how long you think that lasts in IC time as far as your actions go.}

Alo

In all your years studying the Arcane, you've never seen the likes of this creature. It is clearly not of the natural world. It is almost like someone tried to experiment with taking a normal wolf, and cross-breeding it with a stone golem. That would certainly explain why it was immune to your magic.

Alo

"I think someone has been experimenting here. They somehow fused a wolf with a golem, and that may be why my magic failed to harm it."

Brass

Stooping down to view he creature himself, he nodded slowly. It was a tough battle with a difficult opponent. "It was a strong creature, a worthy adversary." He quietly sheathed his blade.

Gorfan

The dwarven cleric also nodded as he studied the half-golem construct more closely. The natural hardness of the creature had been hard enough to penetrate, and no wonder...his warhammer had not landed an effective blow on it and Alo's magic had done the construct little harm.

"Well, seeing as we've destroyed this half-golem we'd better see if we can free those wolves in some of the cages lining the walls.."

Brass cannot determine much with an untrained eye about the creature, save that it appears to be in the shape of the wolf, except it has stone fur, and flesh underneath. He can see multiple wounds, which were inflicted either by himself, or by Soryn. The creature does not appear to be holding any gold, or other items worth looting.

The wolves don't appear to be grateful at all for the defeat of their captor. They clearly do not share the same intelligence that Rorsa possesses. They snarl and snap at any who approach their cages. Seven of the Eleven cages are occupied with wolves. There is also a small pile of garbage in the far corner of the room.
