The Forgotten Forge: OOC

Well, I was hoping to start today, but I still haven't even seen a char sheet from Raharanor.

Anyone who wants to go kick his ass to get him started, you have my permission

Well Rah, seeing as how Moradin isn't an established deity in Eberron, I'm going to offer you some other choices.

I'm pretty sure Sj doesn't care if your Cleric worships Moradin, so don't feel it necessary to change. These are only options, that would help you fit in to the setting more fluidly.

Based on the Domains of Good and Protection, also following Lawful Good as an alignment, the two deities in Eberron that you'd fit in best with are The Church of the Silver Flame or Boldrei, God of Community and Hearth.

A little info about each can be found in the following links

The Church of the Silver Flame

My personal notes are that the Silver Flame are a bunch of "destroy all evil" religious zealots. I, personally don't like them and generally don't like to play them, but may that's what you've envisioned for your character, so I present it to you.

The Sovereign Host (including the Goddess, Boldrei)

Boldrei's religion, being part of the pantheon of deities known as The Sovereign Host, is a little more classier and relaxed religion. Her followers still take a firm stand against evil, but they let trouble come to them instead of going out and hunting for it like the Silver Flame.

It's kinda like the difference between your average do-gooder and George W. Bush.

Average Do-Gooder = Boldrei
George W. Bush = Silver Flame

Thanks for the info, Jai. I'm sure it will help.

The IC thread is now up. There is a post from me introducing the setting. There is a post from Lowthor introducing his character. I'd like the rest of you to make a similar type of post to introduce your character, and give everyone an idea about what his personality is. You don't have to go into detail. Just enough to explain how he would've been perceived during the last few days of travel, and perhaps what he came to the city for.

Note how at the top of his post, he included his character name in bold. Please do that everytime you post. He also included his HP and AC. Those are important to include during combat scenes.

Also note how I added an OOC comment at the end of my post. If you have an OOC comment, put it at the end of your post, and seperate it from IC stuff.

I took his ac bonus from dodge off because it says I must target an enemy before it kicks in.

Amnile is White, not asain like the DnD monk sterotype.

Yeah...the racial stereotype in D&D do not concern different skin pigment, hair coarseness, and penis size.

When you have to worry about rampaging orcs or getting eaten by dragons, there's less drama about whether you're white-skinned, black-skinned, brown-skinned, red-skinned, or yellow-skinned, unless the difference in skintone gives you some spell-like ability or an advantage to your attributes/skills.

No. In D&D your character is assumed to be turning and moving around, so there's no set direction you're facing. If the guy is flanked though you get a bonus.
