Evening. Sorry to actually bother any of you, but I doubt any of you would actually recall any of my user names from back in the days of the great war. Originally I was a role-player of Mythsthril before everything went down and I moved on. However, I'm here now posting this because I am trying to get in touch with Mithrandirxx regarding the United Realms Order, and as well as the Unknown Order. The role-playing environment and community that I've been apart for a number of years now, as begun seeing an increase of members from several different role-play factions and communities. And most noticeably, the community of role-players that are apart of IMVU has seen an increase of members stirctly from the Unknown Order. I'm not fully sure if yourself, Mithrandirxx or any others from that generation of role-players recall exactly who they are. But given the evidence that I have complied while seeking the truth behind their actions and movements, is leading me to dead ends as they tend to cover up their tracks pretty well. So, I come to those that I once role-played with and against in hopes that one of you are still active enough to respond to this post within a couple of days. I've been attempting to get in touch with Riptor as he has also found his way on IMVU, but alias he seems to have dropped from the face of the role-playing world. So when you have time Mithrandirxx, or anyone else who wishes to step forward; I'd like to delegate and converse of this matter as it's gotten to the point where the Unknown Order is targeting role-players of IMVU and not just their characters or selected role-plays. Please and thank you for your time

Hey, I'll briefly introduce myself as Losara. Originally I'm a role-player that dates back to the era of the great war between the three role-playing communities of AOL, Yahoo and MSN; myself being originally from Mythsthril and apart of the Dawning Light faction that resided within their role-play. I'm here because I'm in search of the man himself, Mithrandirxx. The reason being is because I have been having run ins with a group that calls themselves the 'Unknown Order'. Considering that I have met with Riptor whom is a council man of the United Realms Order, which I believe Ayenee is now apart of if I'm not mistaken. Anyways, there is multiple reasons as to why I am attempting to contact you, Mithrandirxx, or any other college that was from that generation of role-players. While I would like to say it is a matter that I can handle myself along side with the role-play community that is known as IMVU as a whole; I don't think it's simply the case as I know the Order supposedly pre-dates even what is considered to be the three greatest role-playing communities of it's era. I hope that there are those that still view this forum at least on a regular basis so that I might be able to get in touch with someone that can help either confirm or deny the evidence that I've managed to compiled of the Unknown Order. Please and thank you for your time.

Losara.

I was called, although I do not know, if I am the man himself so much as a shade of the man he once was, more or less. Firstly welcome to our little corner of the internet Losara. weirdly enough the name the Unknown order sounds familiar but I think thats because its an easy psuedoname to throw off people who would essentially be after them, kind of like claiming to be nobody. Now as for any communities that predated Yahoo, MSN, and AOL chats, those would mostly fall into mIRC chat. Sadly I was never part of mIRC chat scene or Rp scene, so I cannot speak to much of what happened there. I myself begane in Ayenee in April of 98 if I remember correctly. As for Ayenee having joined United Realms Order, I cannot say I have been aware of that change. Ayenee mostly ended up divided between two forum communities when Yahoo brought the Axe down, Ayenee.org and Ayenee.com. Now there were as I am sure you recall from the war a whole lot of players in Ayenee, and I don't believe either .com or .org ever had all of us. So other communities may have existed that I never became aware of. I do know that other communities did pop up over time although most of their names pretty much fade from my memory after these years.

Thank you for the quick response Mithrandirxx, and that is what most of us here that role-play on IMVU believes to be true. Considering today someone finally leaked useful information portraying to direct members of this so called 'Unknown Order'. Finally after getting in touch with another member that was originally from Mythsthril, they were able to direct me to certain people that could help me in my endeavors. To be honest, I'm not sure of what to make of all of it now that I've read over all the information I've been given and have acquired. A lot of.. Well, crap to be blunt, is involved with it. Out of character meetings held in regards to obtaining the memories of role-play characters and stuff. But anyways, I don't mean to consume all of your time. I simply felt that you might of had a lead in regards to them as they've clearly stated in the chat logs that I was presented with; that you are someone they fear utterly more than most. Again, thank you for your time and quick response. It is sad to see this forum sitting here collecting dust; if some of the others stirred and showed some interest and became active, I'd certainly role-play here as well.

You're most welcome, Losara. As for hunting those who cross OOC and IC thats a war that is always a pain in the ass. The key in winning such wars are normally either through ignoring, banning, or negating automatically, as their power has achieved such a heighten state that they are completely out of phase with reality, and thus unable to affect anything. Although I did end up fighting a lot of different groups over the years I must admit I do find it amusing they fear me. If you need any other help feel free to ask I am always willing to dig through my memories to help if I can. As for having more blood than ghosts in these halls that would be preferable, I must admit.

Are these the same IMVU people that claim they CREATED Ayenee in 1995. Most curious. After a conversation, if you could call it that... yesterday, Riptor included (alleged). I say alleged because IMVU users have been making an array of fake accounts using the admin/and owner names of various forums associated to Ayenee, and it seems Rhydin as well. But everyone knows, Ayenee was not created until the end of November 1997.

Raven, to my knowledge, nobody on this board claims anything of the sort. There are some of us that were around for the very early stages of Ayenee's life on Yahoo. Some of those on the member list are even those who were once in charge of various aspects that eventually faded into obscurity (We have at least one old gravekeeper, and Kellindil has been known to show his face once in a while.)

But no, nobody here, that I've seen, has claimed to be the creators of Ayenee as it originated. If you're getting claims from IMVU users, they don't come here. This site, as barren as it is, is what remains of the "original" Ayenee site once Yahoo forced the change.

Edit:

Little bit of trivia you can give to anyone claiming anything about Ayenee that early, Yahoo didn't even open it's Arts & Entertainment chat section until 1996.

Apologies Rhysis. The above name mentioned, whom Losara aka the author of this thread is looking for. A person whom I have spoken to, very recently.

I never said people from here had made such claims. IMVU was the topic. It's members of IMVU that claim they started Ayenee in 1995 on some other platform, from what I gathered and from what words were exchanged. And because IMVU was mentioned , and because I am an active member of IMVU. This is why I commented on his/her post.

I also know the history of this site. And pity it is.... a graveyard. There used to be some interesting topics on here, indeed.

I also know when Ayenee opened. I was there when it did as were others who certainly know Ayenee was not around in 1995 or 1996. :) Thank you for the clarification, though.

Damn it now you're all making me feel old...Anyhow IMVU players attempting to legitimize their fame or infamy by claiming to have created or been around at the creation of Ayenee are essentially what were called Noobs back in the old days. Living in the past to validate yourself means you have accepted that you can do nothing great again, or trying to use others glory to make yourself into something your not by reputation alone which at least to me always devalued the game. You play to have fun to create a story and weather your character is the hero or the villain, if you live or die, you enjoy the challenge and continue on to greater heights. So I would say to this Riptor and his ilk that what was the past doesn't matter all that matters is the continuation of the story.

I feel the need to follow up with a hearty "Here here!"

But yeah, there was never any shortage of people making similar claims even in the early days of Ayenee. It doesn't come as much of a surprise that there are still a few making them now. Easier to fool people 20 years later. That's right... TWENTY years. We're old
.

I could not agree with you both more. The present and the future of roleplay is what counts, we all have our histories, we all have added a brick or two to the foundation of Ayenee.

I still actively write Ayenee based roleplay, with some of the Darkbane's, Pendragons and those who never got into the clan based styles. We have fun, we enjoy the writing and interaction-- to me, that is all I care about but also the preservation of others' contributions.

Well with any amount of luck, if you believe in it, this site will be getting a new breath of life soon. Stick around, heck even start up an RP ( crazy suggestion on an RP site, I know.) and I'm sure you'll see at least a little bit of renewed vigor.

Atm I only have a cell to access the net.But I hope with a nice tax return ill be able to get an inexpensive lap top....
Maybe by then some one may start something up.......maybe lol.
Love to all ♥

Alright. Well, that being the case, I'll see what I can do about starting something up. Fantasy, modern, or Sci Fi?

Definitely fantasy. I'm not too fussed on modern, but I'm willing to participate if it gets some activity for everyone else to join in with. All down with the creativity.

Sounds like a plan to me. Give me until this evening to come up with something worthwhile. I really don't want to fizzle out from lack of interest.

Alright I've got it up. I went ahead and put it into the General Freeform instead of Realms of Fantasy, just in case we want to go a little off from traditional high fantasy later on. New RP

People on that site tend to have this affinity towards impersonating people from roleplay past. While emulation is supposed to be flattering, I find it to be offensive.

Great post though Mith and Rhysis you just made me feel ancient.

Offensive in this case, certainly. Riding the skirt-tails and codpeices of times past seems to give the lesser of ethical abiding roleplay citizen's a 'rise'... it certainly leaves us with a case of the "wtf". Since you and I both have shared the IMVU experience of having the displeasure of their intrusions on our pixel doorsteps.
