Asana Flipped the dagger in his hand over and over again watching the beast as it went after Fang it certainly seemed to dislike divine magic. Looking down at the Knife his mind started to whirl over casting a divine enchantment on the Dagger. He'd need a moment at the very least to gather his wits about him to cast the spell on the weapon. Slidding the weapon back into his Belt he grabbed the arrows and Bow and sank back around the tree line working his way back towards Baros.

Baros backed away carefully whilst the beast swatted at the Alicorn without coming close. The spellsword made his way back to Asana ready to start putting together their own plan.

With the alicorn informed of his plan, Fang stood on the back of the creature as he had many times in the past. As it circled high overhead, Fang leapt off the back of the equine. As soon as he was off, the steed dove toward the beast, randomly firing small bolts of energy, banking and rolling all the while to keep the creature guessing. Meanwhile, Fang's body was quickly engulfed in a shimmering white light. Within a second, the light expanded and then seemed to explode. The brilliant flash of light was accompanied with a thunderous roar that shook the landscape. In the place of the human was the true form of the dragon Fang. The SevenStars now imbedded within his hide between his wings left him at his most comfortable for combat.

Of course, as soon as he changed, the Elder Council roared into his mind with a thousand questions, attempted commands and accusations. -It is too soon! What happened to touching it to determine power? Let it know who you represent!- The only voice he didn't hear in his mind was that of Drahanil. The eldest member of the council knew better than to question the fighting tactics of the only warrior within their ranks. Fang ignored all the others. If this creature wanted to utilize the appearance and abilities a dragon, Fang would show him the true nature of draconic beings. Plus, it was quite obvious that the Hellwyrm had been holding back so far. It would be forced to stop or be easily defeated by a real dragon.

As Asana grew closer to Baros his eyes shifted up looking at Fangs True form. His eyes filled with respect if not a shadow of Jealousy. His wings twiched with a hint of annoyance as his eyes slide from Fangs true from and moved back to Baros. " I think if I cast a divine spell on the Dagger we picked up I might beable to pierce the beasts side, but we will need twine, so Once the blade is in we can get the arrow in its blood away from it and me quickly". he said Looking to Baros waiting to hear his ideas.

The beast for the most part ignored the stinging bards of the Alicorn's blasts and tried to swat the creature from the air. When Fang transformed it had no difficulty in noticing. A beast larger than itself was hard to miss. It let out a thunderous roar and with a single beat of its wings launched itself into the air. The force of it nearly knocked Baros to his knees as the wave of air hit the spellsword.

The beast surged up into the air, climbing and climbing upwards as a skin of darkness seemed to form around its scaled hide...

Once he'd righted himself, Baros nodded and took a ball of twine from his belt pouch. "If that is not enough I have a spell to create a magical rope." He added. "We shall need to get it back on the ground first though."

It wasn't difficult for Fang to recognize the beginnings of a magical ability, and while he had no way of being certain exactly what would come to pass if the creature was allowed to complete the effort, he knew that instinct and experience told him to stop the process before it was too late. A single quick thrust of his wings put him in a collision course with the Hellwyrm.

When he was certain his dive was aimed correctly, he pointed his wings forward with the spikes at the joints facing front and let the SevenStars leak energy into his wings. Given the weapon's placement in the middle of his back, his wings were the one portion of his body he didn't have to take extra time or focus to charge energy into. It was a risky move, but he had a way to minimize the risk, and took in a breath to begin preparing his breath weapon should it be necessary. His keen physical senses heard Baros and Asana. If they wanted the Hellwyrm to land, they would have their wish.

Asanas eyes closed instinctively when the hellwyrm took flight. His feet dug into the ground behind him attempting to fight back the push of the strong winds. He knew that this was becomming a battle of titans and Unless Baros and he made thier move soon they would be too limited in form and ability to keep up with where the battle might head.

Fang crashed hard into the rising beast. A massive blast of hellish power is unleashed at Fang, but at the same time the dragon succeeds in his goal and the force of the impact sends the beast crashing back to the ground. It lands upon its back giving Asana and Baros their chance.

"Lead on" Baros said as he brough his arm up to his mouth to shield him from the cloud of dust the crashing fall kicked up.

At the exact moment of impact, Fang's mind was bombarded with a huge array of information. The Elder Council had held true to their promise and supplied him with every bit of information they could gather regarding the Hellwyrm's power base and potential weaknesses. The energy released at Fang was rather harmless. The very nature of Fang's bloodline assured that evil and chaotic energies were rather harmless to him, a factor that he was sure the beast would not have counted on. Black dragons, after all, only had minimal immunity. It was the other half of Fang's bloodline that provided the rest of his protection, and that bloodline had been nearly extinct for the past three-thousand years.

Fang could tell, even without his standard physical senses, that Baros and Asana were beginning to make their move. He also knew that the Hellwyrm was not going to be too cooperative with staying on the ground. With the speed and grace of thousands of years of experience, Fang righted himself in the air after the impact, and immediately let loose with his breath weapon. A blast of energy that looked like a dark green waterfall traveling at near supersonic speed came barreling at the grounded form of the Hellwyrm. Fang chose his natural acidic attack for two reasons. One was that it was faster to prepare, if only by a fraction of a second, than any of his other breath attacks. The other was that while his mind processed the information that came from the other elders, he figured that acid would likely stand the best chance of injuring the creature or at least deepening the hole its impact created. At the very least, the sheer force of the impact should keep the monster down long enough for the humanoids to play out what they had planned.

Jex, a lonely dark elf warrior stumbled across a scene of grisly horror. There before him was a very large, very angry looking dragon attacking a Hellwyrm. There were two onlookers to the slaughter and Jex decided he should ask them what was going on. As he approached, they turned to him, menacing glares on their faces.

It took Fang all of half an instant to be aware of the potential threat this new arrival would cause. Mean well or not, his presence spelled trouble for his own safety as well as that of the others.

With a single thought Fang sent a command to his loyal Alicorn companion. In any other situation, the animal would take an order as an insult. When combat was involved, it never questioned. The animal swooped down from the clouds and immediately stepped between Asana and Baros, blocking Jex's approach. A few strong bursts of psionic energy directed at the drow warrior and Jex was ready to follow orders. The alicorn took the dark elf on its back and leapt into the sky, departing the terrible scene with as much speed as it could manage while Fang still held the Hellwyrm pinned with the force of his breath weapon.

Asana's eyes roved over the Dark Elf his face contorting in annoyance as he Yelled to Baros, "Well it looks like our earlier dance partner had a friend. " He said as he took the knife in hand looking at the hellwyrm and bolting towards it as it lay prone upon the ground. As the Drow flew off into the Sky Asana was not cognoscente of the event he was to focused, Drows would stab someone in the back he knew that but at this moment he needed to end this beast or at least get the dagger into the beasts flesh and cause a bit of the beasts blood to drop. He could not allow the drow to stop him his eyes on the beast as his thoughts turned to the divine spell focusing upon the dagger mentally as he summoned the divine energies upon the blade. The Icy blade seemingly growing a feint golden halo as he ran at the beast the ball of twine in his other hand Held tight as he finished the spell. Another ten yards and he would be at the beast.

Baros remained where he stood, but he began to incant a spell, which should provide Asana at least some protection from the immense heat given off by the beast, which fortunately was somewhat stunned by the impact, although as Asana drew closer it was beginning to stir.

Fang could see the Hellwyrm beginning to move even under the force of the breath weapon. The information provided to him by the other elders had been fully processed in his mind, and he now knew that the acidic breath weapon would not be as effective as he had hoped. Still, it was successfully making the hole larger. Fang concentrated his will power and increased the force of his attack as much as he could. He would not be able to sustain it as long this way, but he hoped he would have no need to do so.

Getting closer he saw the beast start to sir although the air had gotten a bit easier to breath and the heat less noticeable, Asana could only guess that Baros had done something to assist him in his charge. Pulling the tip of the twine ball out he hooked it unceremoniously around the hilt of the dagger tyeing it to it as he continued to move towards the beast his feet slowing a bit as he dropped the dagger allowing the twine to hold it as his hand darted to his side drawing one of the arrows and hefting the dagger up before pairing the dagger with the arrow the head of the arrow, settling just below the guard of the dagger watching the beast as it started to move knowing now was not the time for hesitation. Checking the knot quickly he turned and threw the ball of twine allowing it to unfurl as it flew towards Baros before he turned back towards the beast raising the dagger and leaping towards its exposed side.

Baros snapped out a hand to catch the now much smaller ball of twine, and wrapped it three times about his free hand to give a better grip. He nodded to Asana as the Elf went about it. The dagger managed to pierce the beast's weakened defences; Fang's breath doing its work well. Blood coated both the dagger's blade and also the arrows head.

The beast let out a mighty roar and a powerful surge from its legs as it forced itself upwards with a single beat of its wings against the ground...

Fang had timed the cutoff of his breath weapon perfectly, it seemed, for the very instant that the dagger had pierced the hide of the beast had been the point when he cut of his acidic attack. As if more confirmation were needed, the fact that such a small weapon could penetrate the scales of the creature proved further it was no dragon.

Fang watched as the Hellwyrm lifted itself from the ground and took to the air once more. He let loose with a single blast of psionic energy. The creature's attention had been on him the entire time, and the elder dragon intended on keeping it that way. He was well versed in the practices of magic, and knew that the seemingly minor attack the two humanoids were plotting was far more than what it appeared to be, so Fang decided to let the monster play a game of cat and mouse, and took off into the sky to let the thing give chase.

~pushing the blade into the beast as hard and deep as he could his eyes narrowed upon the wound watching the blood flow from the would coating the blade of the dagger and the arrow head. His eyes remained on the spot what seemed like hours although in truth it was a mere second, as the beast kicked off from the ground angry and wounded, Asana held the dagger twisting at the wrist hoping the divine energies he had channeled into the blood would be enough of a wounding property to keep the beast from going too far Let alone the cold properties of which he was not fully informed of. Allowing the beast to fly he dropped from the side of the beast probably about ten feet off the ground hitting and rolling ,the blade and arrow still held tightly in his right hand. As he stood up his eyes looked to Baros.

The beast although clearly annoyed did not seem too badly wounded from the blow. It seemed to shrug off Fang's follow up attack with even more ease that it had dealt with the earlier ones. It unleashed its own mental attack in response, a rage fuelled memory of hellfire and agony that could have killed a mortal in a moment. Fortunately for the two mortals of the group it was aimed at the dragon.

"Blood?" Baros shouted to Asana.

Fang was distracted by leading the monster in flight, and because his mind had been open to the elder council as well as to release his psionic attack, it hit him full force, leaking into all of those to whom his mind had been opened. Fang heard the vast majority of the council members scream in agony all simultaneously. The few who were not affected, mostly those on the more chaotic side of the group, transferred only one emotion, hatred. Fang felt it, but he had been through far worse torture than any memory, even the most vivid ones, could deal. If this beast wanted a mental battle, Fang was more than equipped to fight in such a manner. Mental abilities were his strongest expertise.

Fang circled back around to keep the Hellwyrm close to the other two, then instantly halted in mid-air and turned to face the smaller creature. The red glow from his eyes was gone and replaced, instead, by a brilliant yellow hue. The SevenStars imbedded between his wings brightened its glow and Fang erected a barrier of psionic energy while he prepared his own little surprise for the draconic doppleganger.
