Maybe we could possibly get an Admin more active in this thread? perhaps post a list of "possible" functions that Could be added. That would be better than us just randomly coming up with things which may not be possible to add.

Its a question of what is feasible. And the list of feasible things that I can do is too long to list.

Thats why I need someone to tell me what they want, and I can then tell them what I can do to give them what they want.
 
Welp, since most don't care for ranks which go along with your post count, then perhaps different "groups" one could join which would give names a different color. Group names would be something all the members should have a say in. Maybe each group could even have a special Icon?(this would be something I wouldn't mind helping out with if it was acceptable.)

If an effects shop were to be added, it would need to be "free", unlike some which use a point system to gain such color effects and such.

If SJ wouldn't mind though, perhaps he could give us just a small list of features that are doable?
 
I personally like being rewarded for actually posting IC. The group thing is cool too. Now that I think about it....I am really not too bias or even opinionated on any of the features so um...this post is useless
 
I'd be more willing to support some rank for IC posts only. That seems like it promotes participation more than mindless posting. If there are more thoughts on how this could be fool-proofed, I'd enjoy seeing them.

This groups thing... Tell me more about what you think these groups should represent. What are some example groups you are thinking of.
 
Well to keep true to this boards intended purpose, perhaps it could be Rp-related. Factions or groups of characters that are similar in terms of alignment or purpose....I dunno. It would be great if there was actually a full-scale RP plot that could utilize this to its aesthetic advantage but meh.

I'd be totally in for something like that!

I used to be in so many different groups that I'm kinda used to that sorta thing.

I'd give that idea my full support.
 
When I first read your suggestion I thought of doing it as a prestige like thing. People roleplay and we (the bigwigs) award them ranks and titles based upon their level of participation.
 
Ranks are kinda pointless becuase anyone can manually change their title. I missed collecting the little do dads like friendship stars and cell phones since ayenee canned them, but they aren't really a big thing. Perhaps we should make a Kudos system like on my space where you can award style points and such?

That, at least I can make sense of. The rest of this, I honestly can't make heads or tails of.

Cept for the shop part and rank part, I kinda got an idea of those from the ayenee.com area.
 
As for shop items, I was talking about points earned to change your title color, add shading to your name and/ or title, add glow effects,font style ect.
 
Well clans dont seem to be all that productive in my experience. *was once leader of DarkBane himself (albeit very brief leadership)* I was thinking more along the lines of affiliations and things that could even spread out to different plotlines that could have the potential to merge eventually o_o My ideas have so much GM-backed potential I think. It would be awesome if threads could be started in varying parts of the board with different types of stories that could unite together. Like this Bakarne thing could eventually spread out to a portion of the ACC....and even affect those hunting the beast even. hmmm might just be speaking all randomly.

AS for groups, if one can be actually made in character with a good premise then I'd be all for it. My character Xanatos' group is growing and looking for members and even actual resistance. RP people...RP
 
hmm. Perhaps I should find out if any of the old cinderbane members are still alive.

Or maybe find out if any of the Ironfang clan are still about.

This has many countless possibilitys.
 
Instead of clans, we could just use a colored jewel system of ranks, base them on low level jewel colors and top them off with silver as second to highest and gold as highest poster ranking...

Com gives points for IC and OOC, except for Ground Zero (spam board), and DI the (flame board). I think only gaining points for IC only posts is a good idea.
 
This thread is on it's 4th page and we still seem of gotten nothing accomplished/decided. We're going in circles here guys.
