It all appears on one page to me. Anyhow what I have found can help in these situtations Charm, is to make a list of the ideas and which ones recieve absolute rejection and which ones the debate should continue to follow. And what ideas and applications of each idea there can be.

Each Group would have a specific color. This could be done by ranks but most are not in favor of having ranks which is usually done by post count.

This is why we said going by groups (each group would have a different color attached) which a member can pick from and join.
They other way to gain a specific color would be by installing an effects shop. Most "shops" are based on a points system to obtain colors and effects. Having this function without a points system is something I am not aware of so a higher up would need to reply to that.

Anywho, the development of ranks for IC postings, as brought up earlier, would be a good venture...I would be glad to assist in bringing about the names of those ranks. We would probably base the ranks upon a varying range of themes to do with the different roleplaying genres/themes.

Sj, I did post look at post 41 in the line up. Anyhow I shall not give my word till I see that its all been hammered out. There is no need to take a half forged sword into battle. So once the issues of color and the point system have been hammered out I am willing to say one way or the other.

It could be done without the points system maybe, but it really is better to have members work for their points to attain items/special effects at the store. Without having to spend points to get all that it will be too easy to attain those things.

Most certainly...for the Chronicles and IC roleplay forums give full point value. However, maybe some of the OOC forums could be given have the point value of what you would receive if you posted IC? Just a thought.

Possibly, but I'm still a strong advocate of ranks...as I could come up with cool ranks for this place.

I would say that if groups were given the go-ahead they should based upon post count in IC forums such as roleplay and the Chronicles.

I think a point system could be introduced, however the shop aspect I am still sketchy on. I mean if all it happens to be are effects for titles or names then one could theoreticaly change thier names color or what not daily. Beyond that many colors woul have to be restircted as we use them to denote user groups such as Admin/Senior Moderators/ Moderators/Users/And Banned Folk.

I can only see logic in giving points for IC postings otherwise points would be aqauired to easily. The Chonicals I could not see giving points towards because Although most tiems it is only poetry, Pictures and original stories, we do fget a lot of repeat postings that happen to just be praise of critiques of the work there in and would only lead to off topic posting. OOC forums I could see doing points with if we wanted people posting strictly in the PG, or what ever other forums, but as the goal of the forums is for IC postings I would say OOC forums giving points woul detract from our main goal.

I think groups could be used although I would think that these groups would have to be limited to a certain number of groups for an example five alternative groups each one having user titles auto set to a certain genre of RP or something along those lines. Perhaps what we could do is link the five groups to the shop system so that a certain number of points are required to join what ever group , and double the ammouint of points to leave that group. Something like that. Although specifics are not my area of expertise.

Use the Genras of standard RP. For instance group one SCi-fi, Group Two Fantasy, Group Three Modern, ect...

I don't think its been overlooked, but a decision needs to be made, and we need to find out if it can actually be done.

Well first we need to know how each idea can be put forth in an actual application across the forums, for that we need Sj to come in and look over the ideas presented and give us the technical side so we know how each one can come about. From there we can say weather or not each one can be added properly to the style and set up we have looked at thus far. Then assuming each can be added, precisely as we would like them, we can define how to implement the different ideas such as groups and what not to the forums at will.
