Sometimes, owning the first system off the block, is not a good idea.
I'm quite an avid gamer with quite a collection myself.
And let me tell you. Those who buy those second or third-year(or sometimes those who buy slightly used) consoles, are usually getting a very good deal.
Lemme tell you, spending 150 bucks on a ds and then having a so called friend steal it from you, is just no fun at all.
I tend to go for the used deals on a normal basis as they save me some major money.
Take the recent(out for like two weeks) game called marvel alliance.
I bought the game in 100 percent condition for a fraction less then what it normally costs. I paid only thirty three bucks for a game that runs at least at fourty easy.
Now granted sometimes there's extra-extras that game companys throw in with the games that make it that much more worthy of buying brand new.
For example, mk armageddon, I paid full retail in advance(reserve) to get the extra goodies that came along with the collectors edition.
the metal casing, extra dvd(with umk3 game inside) the game itself and two free animation cells.
Now that is a good bargain because sometimes it's the little extras that make the game more enticing.
