Vamp RP...Can we do it right?

Im thinking of limiting it to Modernized Ann Rice, White Wolf, and Underworld theme to the vamps. No sparkles or any of that crap.

Think having all 3 styles is too much. Best to draw up some sort of guidelines of do's n don'ts
 
For discussion sake...do you see much difference in White Wolf and Underworld? Anne Rice is very extreme to the victorian style vampire however I kinda feel like WW and Underworld are highly similar. Well so similar that WW sued the makers of Underworld
 
Simplicity is best.

Vampires:
Super strong, super fast, need teh bloodz, killed by beheading, staking through the heart or sunlight, makes ghouls be feeding living people their blood, makes other vampires by biting with intent to turn.

To me, thats the base modwl vampire. No leather seats or cd player.

I know it can get way more complicated when you begin to factor in magic and stuff, but I think that really tends to lie in how much combat will be involved in the rp. Thats my two cent though.
 
I agree with you Spartan. And that would tend a bit more to the Underworld side of things. I dont remember any really "magicy" stuff going on in the first two movies...ive not seen the rest.

So then we agree it would be "Old World/Ann Rice then, or am I misreading? Guidelines could be put in place be for hand just so all are clear
 
Yeah I think more modern style Ann Rice...Im kinda dropping the Underworld thought as the tech was a little out of hand in those.

But definately a Ann Rice style. Maybee with some flare of the current?
