Given the intense lack of consistency with other RPs, (I know, I"m guilty of it in the past, as well) I've decided that I'm going to make another one myself. I haven't yet decided if it's going to be fantasy or sci fi but it will be one of the two.

I would encourage anyone who wants to participate to do so. However, if you don't think you'll be able to keep up some consistency (at least one post every couple days) I would ask that you don't bother.

I realize things get in the way, and temporary departures are going to happen. But please, make an effort to excuse your character or, at the very least, let the rest of us know you'll be poofing out of existence for a time. That's what we've got the absence thread for.

Alright I've decided. I'm going to open up a thread in Farthest Reaches. It'll be a sci fi RP. Long story short, A guy named Erik wakes up after having been frozen in a cryogenic tube for 500 years (a glitch in the machine that was set for only 5 days). Nothing is the way it was supposed to be because of an obviously unforseen global takeover that destroyed everything that had anything to do with why he was origionally frozen.

Off the top of my head there are several options for an additional character to play with this RP.

1-Another patient
2-A squatter using the medical building as a home or shelter of some kind
3-A descended relative of the doctor or one of the last surviving employees
4-Just some random passer-by

obviously if you think of something else to play, by all means do so.

And Rhysis? What races/ kind of beings are allowed?
 
Wellthe idea was for just humans but it IS set in Ayenee so, I guess anything goes. Just keep in mind it's 500 years in the future.
 
Looks like I get to set the scene when / if our characters actually start talking to each other. I'll hang fire until Madi's char wakes up.

Ok, what is It an where was it we where frozen...I'm thinking mine was frozen about 50 yrs after rhysis's...
 
Probably more like 15-20. Dr. Roe is a recurring character from an RP Tifferzzz and I were playing. The cryogenic experiments would happen after the experiments he was obsessed with in that RP, so he would have been 50 or more years old before starting them in the first place. Like I said before, Erik was frozen for 500 years, which was simply a miscalculation on the doctor's part. The timer most likely wouldn't have been set for January's tube, given the conditions she was frozen under.

The idea I had for this was pretty open. I want people to be able to add stuff to the storyline without having to consult with me first. Obviously there are a few things that can't be changed, but aside from that I don't mind one way or the other.

And thanks for feeding me info in your posts Rhysis :) I am afraid without them I'll soon be lost lol

What year did this freezing take place?
