So... Who is ready for Real-Time RP again?

So, my resident Mad Scientist Andrew has finally found a program comparable to Cheetah Chat with both Public and User rooms. It is completely desolate at the moment, and it runs more off of relayed protocols than controlled chat servers like Yahoo. So what does this mean? Why, yes, it means it can be filled by a group of Role-Players and turned into the heyday of Y! Chat all over again. Just without a Yahoo to come in and fuck it all up this time.

Mike, Drew, Myself, and some associated people from our pasts and Nerima are currently looking into putting up a site with the old school basic rules and trying to revive chat RP. I know this doesn't effect most of you as you've conformed to message board posts for RP, but to me that's just too slow-paced and boring. So, I'm basically posting this to see who all might be interested in some real-time RP again with us in a Cheetah-like setting. The real old days revisited.

Also, the site won't be trying to steal the thunder from this one, as I have no interest in putting up boards for anything more than moderating discussions about RP on it. Board RP is your thing, and you can keep it. I wouldn't have the time to keep an eye on half a dozen boards again, much less admin that many, like I used to back in the day. And, let's face it, for people wanting to RP through boards this site already does a great job. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Well, this is just a sounding out as I've mentioned. If there are people interested here, I'll post more info on what we are doing and the progress we've made.

Does sound interesting - I do haver the occasional evening where I sit there and think "Hmmm, I wish Yahell had never screwed up their chat. I wanna RP!"

So yeah, keep us updated!

You have the name of this program there, hoss?

Also, feel free to pimp this shit as much as you want on these boards - we didn't switch to Message Board RP because we LIKED it, more because there was no other choice.

*From the faint distance, a patter is heard - much like the fluttering of pages. Yet as it grows closer, it becomes louder. The sounds escalates as if one was flipping through a telephone book. From out of no-where, the door to the Peanut Gallery is shoved open by a burst of air, and a bare-foot 'hottie' stops in the frame, taking the stance of Superman.*

So......word is out that real-time might be back in town?

Well then - baby - so am I!

*Grins in her devilish manner.*
