Hello, everybody, I have asked for your assistence with a map I have made for my plot Called
Sae Nae. You see I have run into a wall. I seem to lack the ability to make a glyph, or marker
that would accurately portray the presence os ancient ruins on all the surfaces in the map.


Atop of that I am lacking the knowledge of how to make proper markers for each
group/clan/species that would be present upon the different continents. So I am asking you all
to help make markers for Ancient Ruins to be used on Sand,Grass, Mountains,
Snow/ice,Volcanic Ash, Ocean water, and Lake water. As well to come up with Markers for Elf,
Drow, Human, Orc, Dragon, Gnome, and what ever else you can see trying to get into this
plot. So with out Further adiu I present the template to check your markers on.
 
*curiously peeks at map* Well I've read and actually seen dozens of different rune-glyphs before, so perhaps I can be of some help.

But what do you mean by markers?
 
To clarify, a marker would be in essence a place holder, a way to show where ruins, and camps for groups of a similar type to be. In essence think of a map on a wall with pins in it, each pin representing a place you have been. That would be what a marker is. However after conversing with Charm about it, it seems the best size for a marker needs to be minimum of 20 pixels squared, if not a little larger with defining markings.

Charm I'll take a look at that program your linked to here in a little bit and see if its useable for what I need it for.
 
Um SJ, that map is hosted on Imageshack. Thats why it's less than half of its original size.
 
Jesus Christ. Thats some map. Have you considered just using old style letters and assigning them to a key?
 
then why in the name of my aunt sally didn't you use a thumbnail?

They even give you the exact text to copy and paste to use their images on a forum.
 
Sj because then the thumbnail would have been so condensed no one would see anything...

Lowthor, I dunno how to take that so I'll take it as a compliment, so thank you, and I thought of using letters or rather wrttting out where the camps and ruins were, but There are a Lot of ruins far more than 26 of them and then the camps. I have some Markers I have thought of using, but the one for the dwarves was not good nore did the one for the humans show up well. the Original markers I used for the Ruins just vannished on some of the terrain.
