Kayt would pass out from the pain as the blue elven warrior carried her not so nicely along. Once they reached the safety of base he would deposit her in the make shift infirmary. While her minor cuts and wounds could be treated there they could do nothing for the burn that covered her neck and upper chest. In her sleep she screamed and thrashed about when they even tried to remove her top. It was decided she would have to be sent to the surface if she was going to receive the proper treatment and remain a productive, living, member of their cause. On the surface they would heal her with magic and wrapped her upper body in bandages to protect the raw new skin. She would sleep for almost two days, toward the end it was a restless sleep full of nightmares and past events.
She came awake with a start in what appeared to be the same room she had used in the temple before. Instinctively she reached for her weapon, a move she paid for with the discomforts of the bandages and stiff muscles. Putting the mild discomfort she felt out of her mind she slowly set up and started to slide from the bed. She was hungry she realized and how the hell did she get here?
She managed a weak smile at seeing that she had been left alone to her nightmares, which wasn’t unusual. What was unusual was the clarity and how lifelike the nightmares appeared to be. With a small shake of her head she slowly stood and with some pain pulled on a robe over her cloth pants and bandaged upper body. Not up to bothering with shoes she slowly moved toward the door and tested it to see if it was locked before opening. Once she was in the hall she would move toward the kitchen, even moving slow she still had a rebellious and confident look.
