War Journal "Bad blood"


The question : Do you think it is wrong to personally keep old posts for personal value ? Why do people keep old picture, email, and news paper articles ?

The reason why I have like a war journal is to get my words stright in my head and to better oragnazie my thoughts better.

So the question again :

Do you think that it is wrong to keep a timeline of a current rp all 3 years of it in real time as a historical Note book?

No, it isn't wrong to keep a backup. As long as you aren't planning on using it to make money or claim it as your own work. That's just a stupid notion.

Hell, we've had people on this board volunteer to backup all of the posts from one board before, and everyone appreciated it.

I know a computer security friend of mine who has a copy of everything he's ever posted on every message board. While that may seem a bit overboard, there isn't anything wrong with it IMO.

Also, e-drama.
 
Okay, For the moment I am going to leave this post where it is that does not mean I will not be taking it down in a few hours or atleast deleting the back story.

Now then is it wrong to keep things written by others ? No, simply put often enough it is the only proof some people will accept. Think of it like this in the early days of Ayenee to prove that someone was dead/you killed someone the judges of the death board/Mausolum needed to see an unaltered transcript of said death.
 
Nothing that wierd about archiving all your posts. I've RPed with people in the past who kept transcripts of ever visit into chat. I wish I'd saved all my RP posts from .org before the crash. There was some good stuff in there.

You are missing something from that question.

But I went back to your original post, skipped the entire first bit, and looked at the last question. That one was miraculously complete.

My feelings on the subject are that the internet is a free zone. You can copy anything you damn well please. You aren't planning to use it for personal profit, are you? If not, then you are fine.

One last thing... I'm not trying to insult you or anything by picking on your grammar. However, since we are communicating via text, it does become vital to at least be clear enough that people (like me) don't give up trying to read your post after 3 sentances because they can't make out what you are trying to say.

And this is why those on .Com have a problem with him wanting to participate within a RP on Comicdom. They Simply Can't understand what he has typed.
I'm not trying to be mean, but I have tried to explain this to him on another forum.

I keep a back up of all the rp's I'm in...I use to have rp's saved from 6years ago tell my comp crashed and took it.
 
Okay after going through this all again. First off this is technicaly in the wrong area it should be in RP disscussions. Also I edited out all of the backstory because I will not have flaming of the mods of .com on these boards. If you want to flame them, well find a means to do so that I cannot see. Now then, As for your PS message, Most people here know full well not to flame other users. It is in the Community Rules and Guidelines.
 
To answer your question frank, Heck no there's nothing wrong with it at all.
In fact A friend of mine(involved in a major roleplay back some years ago) sent me an entire small -book-based folder on our entire roleplay adventure up to a certain point!
I still have the darn thing......er...somewhere in the garage I believe.

Anyway the point is, is that it's fully probable for these kinds of things to happen.

Let us not disclude him simply because of his grammatical errors in english kabeesh?
"Any" roleplayer is welcomed here, and it is not within our bounds of honor, to be judging other's on the way they type replys to us.
In fact, it is that very thing, that makes us differ from other roleplaying sites.
We will overlook the obvious bad-grammar skills, in an affronted nature, by simply comprehending within the limits of our minds.

The old saying goes ladies and gents, "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
and that little old saying, goes quite a lot more then on just "small" indiscressions!

Wasn't saying he should be excluded, was merely exxplaining why.

I get what you're saying Ullery, but can you imagine what'd it'd be like if he wrote a long reply like that? This isn't Frank-Bashing, 'cause Lord knows some of my replies make little or no sense to anyone but me, but there has to be a degree of sensibility, or else our li'l brains might melt trying to decioher what he's written!

But hopefully, reading/writing alongside such eloquent typists as our cmrades here, he'll improve in leaps and bounds!

Alright, Punisher, first off I can sympathize with wanting something badly for no ill purpose and not getting it, however posting this here kind of proves that you were insincere when you promised not to bring it up for ten years or till death, or any other example I missed. Now then here's something I would like to make clear. I do not want bad mouthing of, staff members on any other site, communities, or high pitched chipmunk singing groups, founded or otherwise pushed on these boards. Sadly no one is perfect this person is proof positive of that point, but it reflects badly on the site that employs/hosts that particular person. Simply put if you are going to use this forum to bad mouth or lay siege to someone's reputation or a sites reputation remove their/its name, and any implication to where it is. Also we have a rant thread located in the Peanut Gallery. This doesn't seem like much of a judgement call to me. Also a word to the wise, posting an ooc transcript/im log without both parties agreement is fucked up.
 
I did that as poof and the only reason I want all the old post of comicdom is because It matters to me I t is like some old news paper artcles or old email.
look I know it is worthless I just want it for the memories, that is all
 
Frank, Listen, I know why you did it thats not what I said, what I said was proof or what not can be kept on your computer, and if you feel the need to point out your hardships in a public forum the rant thread in the Peanut Gallery is the place for it. To be as plain as possible don't slander other peoples names here with proof or without, all it ever ends up doing is causing a fight in the community, and a headache for whatever poor shmuck has to moderate it. Now if you had an issue with a member of this forum the staff would be willing to help mediate it if it was brought to our attention and both parties are willing to try, but this is not the case with this.
