A vague ghost of a thing I’ve become, beset by dwindling intrigues and unwelcoming landscapes for the imagination, but I still haunt some role-playing circles much as, daresay, Jeremy Beadle still haunts the hapless.
It’s perhaps a fitting analogy to compare NewAyenee.org to a standing stone. A stark and humble sentinel calling people to her, er, bosom for their collective workings—standing tall amidst the waves of cynicism and self-destruction, prevailing an aura of maturity and composure.
I guess that’s why I keep returning from time to time despite my commitments and my diminished state: I know at the base of the stone there are a number of quality role-players in alignment who can raise the spirits.
Beadle’s about too. Somewhere. Probably.
