Rika sighed as she looked in the mirror. Shaking her head she hurried back to class. She smiled brightly as she took her seat and began to eat her lunch.

Keiichi's mind wandered as he stared into the window, he didn't mind Satoko's constant nagging about how he reacted to her trap. He sighed as he remembered Rika's words.

He took a quick look at Rika with those empty eyes and thought, "Maybe I'm overreacting. Rika has always been nice to me but..."

He scratched his head furiously with his two hands.

Shion moved over to Satoko.

"Heeeeelooo," she said with a grin. "I've got a surprise for you"

She was holding a lunchbox, smiling happily at Satoko. Elsewhere, Mion looked at Keiichi with a sad face.

He really seems different lately, she thought. That isn't normally how he would react... Damnit.

She walked over to Keiichi and patted him on the shoulder.

"You okay?" she asked with a worried tone.

Keiichi looked at Mion with empty eyes, "Yeah...I'm ok." He said and continued to wander his mind of as if Mion wasn't there.

"I don't know who to trust anymore."

"I just you to know, I'm here if you want to talk," said Mion. "I understand if you don't. But don't keep it bottled up forever. It'll just eat at you from the inside."

She sighed, and started to walk off.

Keiichi was surprised. He was supposed to look at Mion,

"Don't."

"What?"

"You won't be able to trust anyone anymore. They know everything about you, that's why they keep hiding secrets from you. About Oyashiro-sama, Satoshi and even what they know about your past. They're trying to make you feel detached, and slowly, they'll take over you and share the same fate as Satoshi... about what happened to him..."

"Oyashiro-sama's curse."

Determined, Keiichi forgot the urge to look at Mion and wandered his thought as he looked at his notebook.

Satoko looked at Shion with all the happiness that she could muster knowing that the happy days were numbered. That very likely she would soon be gone from the only place that she really considered home. That her best friend would in all likelihood soon be dead.

"Ara? What kind of surprise?"

"Auauau. Rika! What are you doing?" Hanyuu demanded as she materialized beside Rika.

"I don't know anymore," Rika hissed. "So many conflicting emotions and I don't know how to deal with them. I used to just drink them away, but I can't now."

"Rika this isn't some kind of joke!"

"I'm not joking Hanyuu! I need a drink! I can't deal with this. It's too much! And now Satoko knows! I have to do my best now. I have to try!"

"Rika..." was all Hanyuu said as she faded away.

Shion opened the box, smiling happily, revealing a bunch of Satoko's least favourite foods.

"A well balanced meal for a growing girl," she said. "Eat up."

Elsewhere, Mion sat down at her desk, and looked at Keiichi looking through his notebook. She sighed, and put her head in her hands.

"Mii," Rika said looking over at Satoko and smiling. "Aren't you lucky Satoko? Shii went and made you a whole other bento! I wish I had one."

Satoko looked at the food and then glared at Rika.

"Um... Shii-shii? I really don't like pumkin and colif... er broccoli. Besides, I have already had lots to eat. Maybe Rika should have it. She is still hungry it seems"

"Satoko, that's not very nice Shii made it especially for you," Rika said as she picked up a piece of pumpkin with her chopsticks. "Here let me help. Say 'ah'."

Rika started to bring the pumpkin closer to Satoko's mouth.

Satoko slowly pushed her seat away from the table, keeping a steady distance from Rika.

"Shii-shii? I could use a little help here!"

Rika stood up and followed after Satoko. Still with the pumpkin of course.

"Satoko, it's not nice to run from someone trying to help you," Rika said trying to sound hurt. "You come back and eat this please!"

Satoko could see that Rika was playing, and this was starting to get annoying.

"Trying to help me right... Just like you tried to help Nii-nii!"

That hit Rika like a ton of bricks. She dropped the chopsticks and the pumpkin.

"Sa-Satoko, I-I..." she didn't know how to finish that sentence.

Satoko didn't really notice, feelings that had lain dormant for a long time were boiling up inside of her. Still she didn't completely lose her senses. She reached out and grabbed Rika, attempting to drag her to an empty room where they could talk in private. Still as she attempted to drag Rika out of the room she couldn't help but say loudly

"The reason he is gone is because of you!"

Satoko tightened her grip and dug in.

"You at least could have tried, or said something, or done something to warn us. Why didn't you Rika? Why didn't you?"

Satoko wasn't so much upset about her nii-nii, though she thought she was, it was all the emotion that she was feeling from hearing her best friend tell her that she was going to die. There was no one she could get mad at for that, but she could get mad at Rika for this

The tears started to flow freely now.

"Because no one ever believed me! Everyone thinks I'm some kind of prophet until it comes to the big things and then they laugh it off! I-I just gave up after a while. I'm sorry Satoko, I'm so sorry."
