Satoko grinned and then started to laugh.
".... Oh... Nothing, let's finish up and get to work on the fort... "

This is going to be so much fun!

"It's not important," Rika said as she finished off her meal. "I couldn't eat one more bite. Now I have to go practice. I'll be by the ritual shed if you need me."

With that Rika got up and put her dishes in the sink and headed out.

Satoko finnished the last of the food on her plate. She had taken less for a few reasons, one of them being so that she wouldn't be to full to work on the fort.
"Hurry up Shii-shii!"

Satoko led the way outside and through the trees. up a hill and the construction site was visible. Wood littered the area. In the centre the fort sat, the walls half completed. Satoko pulled out the plans and handed them to Shion.

"What do you think?"

Shion studied the plan, and glanced up at the fort.

She certainly seems... dedicated, I guess, she thought to herself. No matter, I'm sure it'll be a blast to build. Just... I wish we had a more detail blue print. Oh well.

"Looks great Satoko! I can't wait!" said Shion. "You and Rika-chama have been careful while building, right? If anything were to happen to you..."

Satoko thought for a second.
"uh..."
probably best not to tell her about that... or that... or when I did that...
"Yah!"

Satoko ran over and started to work on the fort.

"Wait! Satoko!" Shion shouted as she chased after her. "Shouldn't you be wearing a safety helmet? Who knows what could happen?"

Satoko looked at Shion like she was crazy.
"Your kidding right? What kind of trap builder would i be if i couldn't even use a hammer?"

"Well..." said Shion as she scratched at her face. "I, I don't know. But still! If anything bad happened to you... I mean, fine. Just be careful, okay? Okay. Now, what should I do, oh Builder of Traps?"

Satoko tossed Shion a tape-measure and a saw.
"you see the long boards over there? I need you to cut off the ends and make sure that they are exactly 12 feet long. Be careful, we only have two spares!"

"Alright!" said Shion. "You can count on me!"

She walked over to the boards and sat down before them, laying the tools in front of her.

Hmmmmm... never had to do anything like this before. She thought as she studied them. Hope I know what I'm doing... okay... here we go, I guess.

She started to work on the boards, making sure to measure them, and sawed through them, as carefully as she could.

Ohhh... hope I'm doing this right...

Satoko finnished the board she was working with and walked over to Shion. Satoko looked over Shion's shoulder critically.
"Well done Shii-shii! You're really good!"

Sigh... well, she will get better. Still, this is how Nii-nii would act right? And I can't very well be mean to the woman who will become my big sister...

"Now come over here and I will show you how to nail it onto the others in the wall"

"A-alright," said Shion, as she wiped her forehead. "Phew, this is really hard work."

She got up and started to follow Satoko.

"You do this kinda stuff every day, right?" she asked.

Satoko lifted the board up onto the others without to much trouble. Then she shrugged.
"Traps don't build themselves. But I will admit, this is harder than building a normal trap. That is why I wanted my friends to help me."
