In the Rockstar game Bully there is a D&D parody called grottos and gremlins. I was thinking 'what if some one made an actual grottos and gremlins game?' Anybody got an opnion on this?

Well it could be considered intellectual property of Rockstar Games, although to what extent laws of intellectual property could hold against someone for acctualizing a premis made I am unsure. Is there a Lawyer in the house ?

Occasionally I check in. Besides, it's not like my email has ever changed.

Depending on how specific the game idea was developed in the 'Bully' game...You can't copyright ideas, only the tangible creations from them. Can you use the name? Probably not. If you received permission to use the name, you could further develop the game.

Technically, even if you just slightly reworded the name, you can create parodies (As 'Bully' did for D&D to G&G). They're not consider part of the rights given to the copyright holder. Derivative works, however, are. Just don't confuse the two and you'd be all set.
