So I'm planning on starting up a new rp. The ones we have pretty much have a set member base, and some of them are taking quite some time to keep up with the posts.

So, simple question, where would you be most interested in joining an rp? I'm pretty flexible, so gimme your thoughts.

Interesting idea. I'll give it some thought and we'll see what the poll comes up with.

I've got something I've been planning as well. I just can't decide if I want to run it in tabletop, or in freeform. This will be an interesting poll to see the results.

I put Other, because if anyone else were to start a tabletop game, I'd be all in favor of it.

I vote on the following 3...

General Free-form (specify type of rp in post): Pretty much anything falls under this catagory. And I pretty much RP anything...

Realms of Fantasy: I love midevil Rp and so forth...

Other (specify in post): Like the western idea too, well I have 2 western type rps going already, so I can relate...

hm have also gotten into Pirates lately... :p I know Rhy you don't care for pirates lol...

Oh SJ, I have never ever played Table top, so not really sure how that works... Perhaps you can explain this to me a little further. PM works or which ever you prefer.

Thanks
Bri

I naturally favour the Realms of Fantasy due to my affinity with fantasy and particularly medieval fantasy roleplay. I'm more than happy to start and/or be apart of a new scintillating roleplay along those lines.

As for more tabletop roleplay, I'm all for it. I not too long ago outlined the possibility of yours truly running a short campaign of my own making.

Siorai, the tabletop roleplay we do on .Org is based around the d20 system of roleplay used by Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying and d20 Modern roleplaying. Someone, such as SJ, starts up a campaign(a series of adventures for the characters we created on online D&D character sheets) and we roleplay certain situations out in the roleplay and in some cases make online dice rolls for checks relating to our individual character stats or attack rolls and damage. Just thought I'd outline that to you Siorai just in case someone else hasn't already...

I:p I know Rhy you don't care for pirates lol...

RPing pirates is the spawn of...uhh...something ugly, with pointy horns and a menacing laugh...yeah.

OH! And fat free brownies! That's just pure evil.

Seriously, though, pirates aren't that bad, I just can't see myself in "a swashbuckling adventure" But, that doesn't mean I can't give it a shot.

Anyway. Keep the ideas and votes coming people. I've got a poll similar to this running on com if anybody's interested. It seems to be taking a slightly different spin than this one has thus far.

I sent her a PM sumarizing the purpose of the tabletop forum.

Also, Rah, if you start a D&D game,t hat would be awesome. That would let me play instead of DM for awhile, and then I can start up my other game in a non-D&D setting.

I was thinking about starting a TT RP too, but if Rah starts one....I'll just join all up in his cuz I dont think I'd have the time at work to DM it *shrugs* not sure. But TT is what I'm sticking with here. I dont think I can think up anything else to RP here.

Rhy swashbuckling is actually really neat lol. I love it lol. But no worries I won't make you RP such a storyline :p

SJ & Rah, Thank you both for explaining, I am familiar with D&D, just never had the chance of actually playing a table top Rp. As I explained to SJ in PM that I am not able to get into any of those with where I live. Neighbors are 1/2 mile to a 1 mile away. And so much older that they wouldn't get into anything like this. lol... Farm community oh so fun. I know they have some going on the city, but truly running 20-30 miles to RP is waisting too much fuel... So I will just watch here for a bit and then perhaps try it...

Thanks again
Bri

I'm a fan of the western idea. Actually, I'm a fan of anything even remotely western. Or modern.

Freeform of course.

Alright. I'm probably going to do my thing in a high fantasy setting. elves, halflings, dwarves, and ogres. oh my.

So rhysis, if you want to swing for the western thing, that would probably work out well, and we can please everyone.

My project won't start for a week at least though.

Free form?

Well I'm going to take everyone's ideas into consideration and see what I can some up with. Expect it within the next week.

Free form?

It will be mostly free form. Here are the changes I know I will do now.

I'm going to have some restrictions on what number and type of characters I'll accept. It must fit into a fantasy setting, so dwarves, elves, halflings, or things of that sort are fine. I'll also restrict what level of power they can have. I'll have you start with very weak characters, but you will build your power level substantially as we play.

I'll control the NPCs and villains. You guys will control the heroic PCs, who will be given the task of saving the world. You control everything about your character and what he does. You will be freeform in that respect.

I'm not going to get into any details about it yet. Like I said, nothing will happen for at least a week. Maybe longer. I think I will wait for Rhysis to start his game off first, then I'll work on getting mine going.

When I open recruitment for it, I'll answer specific questions.
