What home...
That statement eluded to two different things. Either he had actually forgotten of his home, his past and of what he knew of her...or he spoke as if he no longer cared to have a home. She wouldn't speculate to either one. The words of the old woman echoed in her mind regarding her existence without Annerod's and his without hers. Should he wish to be dead, and know of the truth of the witch, then perhaps he would attempt to come after her. In his current state, her survival rate was nearly a hundred percent. After a while, though...it would dramatically decrease as his strength increased. Each of these options and outcomes filled her head as she watched him walk off.
Rising from her seated state, she proceeded to follow him. She remained in this form for two reasons. One, it was maneuverable, quick, and easy to utilize should she need to run, and two...she didn't know how Annerod would react to actually seeing her face...
...exactly as it was when he died so long ago.
Would he remember her of the vampiric race? Would he hunt her like an assassin?
Keeping to the shadows, she moved as if she knew exactly where she should step to keep from the sun's rays. Stilling beneath the overhang of a massive oak, she sat once more. "Tell me of this friend." She questioned.
