Ugh... That was some nasty thread necromancy.
So, you bastards brought this up, so I figure I'll give you an update on my life since 2006.
I'm currently 32 years old, living in Buffalo, NY.
I have a stable job as a computer programmer. I have a wife, and our first child is on the way.
I am still a wise-ass, and I still game. I do mostly table-top role playing these days. I regularly go to conventions, and participate in nerdy past-times. I actually host my own gaming convention. It's coming up in a couple months. I'm a leader in the local gaming community, and a guide for new people looking to find fellow gamers to play with in our area.
Frankly, I consider you all to be weird for having any sort of interest in my life 7 years later than any of you last heard from me.
I don't really do much online gaming. I don't go to chat rooms anymore. I have no patience for the kids who insist they've slept with my mother every night since they were born. I feel like I've matured to the point of being a full-fledged adult, but managed to hold onto the child-like wonder with the greatness of the world. I've definitely aged. I'm out of shape physically, and don't care enough to correct it.
I can safely say that Combat Club didn't break me. It is a fond memory, but little more. Ayenee itself is nothing more than a memory for me at this point. I have no desire to go back to where it was, and I'm content to let it pass on while I move on to new adventures.
Since I'm no longer going to be hosting the ayenee.org domain name, this will probably be the last time I come back here to update anyone.
I wish you all the best of luck with everything. Hope you all keep gaming, and have a great life.
