The Community Guidelines & Rules and Moderator Rules of Conduct

Okay so to recap I am god, SJ and Ceros are Tech gurus who are only eye candy on the side, and Change Moderators to Adminsitration Team. So far that seems pretty easy to remember. I'll play around with the MRCs and see what I can hammer out with Ceros' Suggestions.

Alrighty well that takes care of the first issue with the Mod rules but what about the good ole Community rules and guidelines any Ideas, comments, or suggestions ?

They've worked for years. It might be worth putting something in to point out that past bad behavior CAN and WILL be used as a guideline for likely future actions.

Stop changing the damn names. They are mods. Leave them as mods.

The forum system calls them mods. it calls us admins. lets try to keep things the same across the board to avoid confusion.

And I had to make an edit to my previous post. A rather significant one. Apparently, the word 'not' was missed when i said admins should not be godlike beings.

If you ever say you are god again, I'm going to smack you....

Oooh... godsmack... *goes to rub a picture of scully on his naughy bits*

The reason the word not was not in your original Post was due to the fact you were interpreting what Ceros had said but not in a direct fashion. Also as for the names I said I will hammer it out, and get back to you all that means if I do not find it workable I will drop the idea, till then we will see how it works. Also as for what the forum system calls people is rather irrelevant as I can change those names too.

you can change anything that the forum does. But just because you can change something doesn't mean you should. I think someone already said this in the thread, but if its not broke, don't fix it.

Alright, now I have a suggestion for a change to the Moderator Rules.

When a moderator or senior mod changes, moves, locks, or deletes a user's post, he must inform the user exactly what they did to provoke the moderator to take action.

This will prevent a situation like we have in this thread, where the user is confused and doesn't know why his post was deleted. It also helps prevent repeat offenses, and helps educate members of the community about the rules and what is expected of them.

Honestly, there is no way that any of the mods are going to be able to please everyone, even you Mith. I do believe some amendments to the rules should be added, but otherwise they're fine. I already told you what I thought should be added last night on messenger, Mith, so, I won't bother getting anyone up in arms by stating it here. In addition, I don't believe that Mods should have godlike power, but, in the end they usually do anyway because that is their job. As long as they do their job maturely and remain unbiased then there should be no issue. I don't think I've ever offended anyone here, but, if by some off chance I had, I honestly don't see any of the mods getting revenge by messing with my account, posts, etc. Once the horse is dead, it's time to stop beating it.

*gives the horse one of those chocolate coated pills from The Princess Bride*

Wait a day, it'll be good for beating again. :p

I'll discuss mod rules with Mith and Lowthor.

~Ponders actually putting up a post that would get removed. Never has posted something of that nature. Goes into pondering upon doing this.~

Well....I wasn't exactly referring to the mod rules as much as the Community Guidelines. I still don't wanna make a statement on that cause, after all, this post is public and I'd hate to have to offend someone. But, suffice it to say there is a current issue with a certain person and you know what that is. As does Madi. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but, I can understand where you and Madi come from in your complaint. An amendment to the rules stating that such a thing isn't allowed and will be dealt with by the mods stepping in and fixing the problem should suffice. Oh...blast....just IM me as treiya_darklor on Y! Messenger if you wanna know what in the Hell I'm talking about. It's too hard to explain without explaining completely. >_<

Alright well where to begin where to begin, first off SJ's suggestion should be common thought, if you do something you report it that's been noted several times in the Moderator forum, that we are to inform those whose posts are removed edited or what not via a Private message or a post directed to their attention. That way the player knows what happened and why their post is being held hostage. It is simple curtesy to our members to know what the hell is going on with their works if we mess with IC posts which considering how many moderators are assigned to IC forums should show how much into controlling RP I am.
