Game Thread

Setting is small rural town somewhere in a Nebraska like part of Ayenee.

Population: 1,300

Buildings of note:
Post Office
Sporting Good Store
Grocery Store
Building Supply

Sheriff Department
Small Family Medical Clinic (Includes a Dentistry, and Vision Center)
2 Gas Stations
2 Used Car Lots

You pick your title from the five above and draft a character. Post your character draft in this thread. Nothing crazy keep it small town simple. You can create a small group if you would like. If there is a title that you would like added mention it below and Ill put it in or explain the title that fits what you want.

I will post the initial start up in the game thread. From there you all do your thing.

I will make game changing posts ever so often. I will not break any of the standard T1 conventions with these however they will be dramatic enough to force some major events to occur.

I was already working on a zombie world idea, and we can combine our ideas together for a RP for any and all to enjoy. My idea is Walking Dead inspired and based fully in Real World.

Grant played all the sports and got all the ladies...In high school...before his knee when splat in the state championship game. In that one swift moment he lost his scholarship, his girl, any hopes and dreams of what he was gonna be one day. He went on to the local Junior College and ended up using his 2 year business degree in his new job as the Grocery Store Manager. Things weren't all that bad. These days hes still remembered as the guy that tried to hero the final play of that game and ended up loosing everything from that point forward.

Dude T that is perfect man. Throw your ideas in here also! You can use MOD powers to ammend anything in my original theme post and add yourself to it for a GM type guy. But yeah Im thinking Walking Dead (LOVE THE SHOW BTW) type scenarios also. Kinda Walking Dead/Revolution Scenario.

Imma take down the initial post in the thread I started over there and well get together more in here before we start?

That was Walker's response anytime we tried to invite the guy yo hang out with us. He's a good cop, but kinda rough around the edges.

Heard he used to be a cop down in New Orleans back when the hurricane hit, bit he don't talk about it much. Come to think of it, he don't talk much at all...

Seems like a real angry guy. Too bad. In a town this small, it won't be long till he runs out of people to push away...

A.D.R. (After Dead Rise)

This is a Walking Dead inspired setting, set in real life. This RP may be a zombie RP, but it focuses on the living and their survival within a changed world which the dead now are the majority. No canon characters, only all original created characters for this RP.

A virus has swept forth through the entire planet turning all dead into zombies. Cause of the virus is unknown. Cure is unknown due to its resilience and mysterious nature. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) was investigating the virus to find its origins and to find a way to stop it.

All the CDC was able to discover before their time ran out and perish in the process with all of the CDC's safety protocols; everyone is infected, the virus is extremely resilient to all treatments, it only infects and turns humans but can contaminate resources including food and water, its activates dead brain tissue to reanimate bodies, all those that died longer then an hour before the initial viral outbreak do not rise whilst all others that died after the outbreak turn, and it takes trauma to the brain of a zombie to stop it.

Similar to the show and graphic novel, the zombies eat all living creatures that they can catch. They can also smell the difference between a living human and a zombie, but that does not stop a living from masking their scent with zombie scent to keep from getting targeted. Zombies can also smell fresh blood which draws their attention even more. Zombies can travel in herds with migration similarities, the reason for this is unknown. Getting scratched by a Zombie will not cause a living to turn. Bites anywhere on the body is sufficient enough to pose a danger upon a living to cause them to go through sickness and death, length of time between the contact and death varies upon the individual in which it happens. Bites are not the only way in which can pose an immediate danger upon a living, eating and/or drinking anything contaminated by Zombie fluids, getting injured by Zombie body parts like broken bones piercing the skin. If a living has an open wound and Zombie fluid or remnants get into the wound, the potential for serious infection for turning can occur. Trying to grow food in ground that has Zombie bodies buried is dangerous due to immediate ground contamination.

Resources are now very limited and can run out. Electronics can still be used if supplied with an active and adequate power source. Cell phones are useless for calls due to cell towers now being inoperable. Walk y-talkies and radio transmitters and receivers can be used as long as they are supplied with an active and adequate power source. Gas is a very limited resource due to evaporation when not properly stored, and after a period of time water build-up does occur unless proper treatment is used. Depending on ingenuity, some resources can be maintained while other resources will remain limited until used up.

The time frame which this RP starts will be around two months after the initial viral outbreak has occurred.
 
In addition, the Zombies do react to sounds and will turn their attention toward it, loud talking and gun-fire equals a dinner bell to them. Having a fire at night in the open also poses danger of drawing attention of close-by wandering zombies.

Anti, I know that I have not posted yet, but I have decided that control of the zombie rp will be fully your's, and you can use the stuff that I already posted as something to work with and add by your choosing. I'll be able to post my chara shortly, RL has taken over for a bit more and still trying to get the cobwebs out of my RP brain. {Grins and fades.}
