Define the qualities of the soul, and what defines a soul other than those qualities ?

What defines the soul other then that?
Well the persons choices, the fates and destinys and role of the dice and luck helps too.
Anything can be said to be a function of the soul without actually being a unity part with the soul.
The soul is defined by itself, and perhaps I was a little pre-chuckled earlier, but now you really got me thinking and I honestly have to say, you really do have me kinda stumped on this question now.

I'm not even convinced that the soul exists. I don't beleive in God/Gods, and I'm completely unsure about the idea of the afterlife, so the soul may be an entirely fictional thing.
It was always a way of suggesting that the conciousness was more than simply a function of the brain, but I couldn't tell you if there is actually such thing.

If there is such a thing as the soul existing, I would define it as being the complete compilation of one's personal being and set-up. Our values, beliefs, what we do not believe and our capacity to receive knowledge from internal or external sources.
The above description sums it up for me really, so I feel no real need to add to it.

My personal belief is that the soul is our creamy insides to our thick and chocolatey outer shells. It's what makes us so animate and emotional.
