Entrance Hall
Dahlia looked between Arbitrated and Oliver as they spoke.
"There aren't any more outside, are there?"
The scholar peeked out into the developing chaos, swearing under her breath. She reached down to pick up the communicator from her belt, her shill voice being projected all about the ISS Downrider.
"Deimos I sent a ping minutes ago, where the hell are you!?"
The half anthro pressed a finger to his earpiece with a grin as he settled into a seat of the ISS downrider, his tail swishing pleasantly behind him as he eyed all of the switches, searching for the one that would prompt the entire hunk of metal that is the ISS Downrider to engage its takeoff sequence.
"Hey Dahlia, just a little caught up at the moment." He tapped his chin before flipping one or two more switches and dialing a couple knobs. The ship shuttered and kicked up from its prone position, retracting the landing gear.
Dahlia blinked, the sound of engines warming up being shrouded by the prevalent gunfire and metallic clanking in the room.
"Someone got trigger happy and stormed up a whole nest of sentries down here-"
She ducked behind cover as another crash could be heard.
"We need more arms, stat."
The scholar grimaced. Grey's literal arm wasn't helping that much.
"Well I've got one, think that'll be enough?" Deimos grinmed. Despite the dire situation, keeping things a little lighthearted never hurt. "Besides, I'm sure you'll get a lot more than you need sooner than you expect." Another switch flipped. He pulls back on the wheel, sending the ship careening around its center of mass, causing its tail to drag across the dirt, leaving large toughs.
The Downrider rose steadily into the air before locking in place, using its thrusters to maintain position.
"What??" Dahlia brought the communicator back up, looking over at Arbitrated before-
Main Room
The falling Bouncer crashed in front of Miko, before it was hit with the brunt of the weapons impact. The core of the robot was sent reeling back as it was knocked off its footing, its orbiting parts slung behind it like a rubber band. The temporarily dismantled Bouncer found itself caught in the persisting field of time distortion, its visible momentum shuttering to a
halt.
Across the room, the other, more whole Bouncer had started following Grey, targeting him as the one who had halted any communication from their commanding unit. Dahlia jumped from her feet as she noticed the bot lumbering up from behind, poised to strike.
"Behind you!"
The Bouncer swung down with a lung, chopping one of
Grey's mechanical arms straight off as the blade dug into and through that backpack of his. Their area of cover now intruded, Dahlia raised her pistol, holding it steady as she fired two bullets towards the head of the robot. the first bullet skidded off the sloped black armoring of the head uselessly, while the second one found its mark in the glass covering of the Pixy unit inside. The unit spun its view around furiously as the bullet was lodged in the glass, fracturing their view of the world as cracks split across its surface. Needless to say, the intrusive Bouncer was stunned for the moment.
---
On the other side of the room, the time halting effects of Greys bomb subsided. Before the Overseer could react, the hyperspeed bullet slammed into their chest, sending them back off their feet towards the outer wall of the room. They focused the momentum into a backflip, righting themselves as they slid back on the porous floor. The scattered parts of the Bouncer Miko shot slammed into their shoulders, bouncing off in mixed confusion to both the Bouncer and the Overseer. That was a trick.
The back of the Overseers robed singed with heat as they came to a halt, a round circle burned away from their back in a stream of ash as a crackling sound could be heard. The Overseer stood and clenched the top of their robes, tearing them away from their body to reveal a more
distinctly feminine but armored body underneath. The Overseer reached up with their left hand, prying the squashed and hot bullet away from their left breastplate with a flick. All that was left was a noticeable dent in the clean white plate, with a small crack formed around the top of the lip.
The Overseer looked up from the damage to glare at Miko with their hollow eyes. The stuck glaive behind Reman wiggled, before prying itself out of the ground. The long handle of the pole-arm slammed the answerless Reman in the back of the head as it passed, speeding back into the Overseers hands. Two of the glaives orbiting the Overseer reeled back, before launching themselves in a spinning pattern towards
Miko.
Marie had a few options to work with. There was the arm, the loose metal doors and bars spread about the edges of the room, and- On her way to the side hall, Marie tripped over the thick metal book the Overseer had cast away prior. The metal Codex rumbled furiously with a little noise, as if trying to get the attention of Marie. From this position, the Overseer didn't know Marie was behind her, nearly throwing their singed robes on top of the scientist. Marie could see an exhaust port of sorts on their back, the green flow of the unknown generator inside visibly disrupted by the earlier impact.
On the other side of the circular room, the electricity-blasted Bouncer recovered, reigniting their blade as they spotted Marie. Given their approach speed, she had about eight seconds before it was on top of her again.
