Absence: The "I'll be gone for..." Thread!

Hey all, I'm gona be out of commission for a bit. I'll be having a knee replacement surgery soon and then from hosp going into a in house rehab. Sorry guys ,

Well folks, I'm going to be a lot more silent and ghosty for awhile. My family has been very busy for the past few months as we have been working hard to get our house taken cared of. Financially it has been a long struggle surviving out here in Hawai'i and work demanded a lot of my time so my time on the boards and rp'ing was greatly decreased even though I've still been coming around and checking on things.

It is official now, our house is in Escrow and we will be out of our house of the 13th of May, meaning I'm going to be on a lot less even now that I'm no longer working. We have a lot of cleaning and planning to do, and sadly for me to say even though I love Hawai'i as my home, for financial reasons me and my wife are leaving da islands and moving to the mainland where we'll be in Idaho and getting our lives back together. I'm going to be gone for a long while for it's a long road for me and my wife, especially since our daughters will not be with us for a few months by their choice. I'll be doing schooling and working on getting my Comp Tech degree and become a Computer Tech for a better job so we can finally come back home.

You all take care and I'll see you all when I finally get back. I'll come around once in awhile to check on things for truly I can't stay away from all of you, but my awayness will be a lot more then before till we are more stable within our home. Laterz everyone. I'll miss y'all.
 
I'll be gone for about a Month from June 21st till July 22ish I think I may beable to get on during that time but not guarantees.
 
Well folks, I'm sort of back as things are still working on getting stable and plus I'm enjoying spending all this time with my wife. I'll be popping around a bit more here and there, but still mostly ghosty in the process. I missed you guys and look forward to being back fully when time and life allows. I'm having my surgery on Monday, not sure how long I'll be gone. I'm guessing at least a week...So all of you behave and Slayer, no messes!!
 
lol, yeah this is more of a thread for people to let others know that they'll be gone for extended periods of time, not really just limited hours. But we appreciate you letting us know, anyway. And like Nalya said, we understand. It's been a decade or more since we did RP in chat rooms. We're older, we have families, jobs, and other things dealing with real life. We get it.
 
FYI, Madi is currently stuck dealing with a lot of stuff in real life so it'll probably be a bit before she's back to any significant capacity, but she'll be back as soon as she can.
 
Due to RL with a lot of computer updgrading, tech work, family matters, and work, I was gone for awhile but I'm hopefully back again for a bit. {Grins and fades.}
 
As a follow up, Madi is still stuck away with real life issues, but she says "hi", that she should be back when school starts again, and that she misses all of you.
 
Hello Ayenee, its been a long while. RL has hammered me and my family hard this past couple months especially financially. I haven't even been able to check the boards due to no net. I'm only able to be on right now at the moment for a momentary connection with neighbor's wifi, but due to doing the right thing, I'm not going to continue leaching their service that they are paying for. I just had to use it for a moment to give a check-in and to let everyone know that I'm still alive. For some of you, you can put away your party hats thinking that I met an early demise. {Grins and chuckles.}

Miss you guys and will be back as soon as life allows. Times are tough but stubbornness will prevail.

BTW, Rhysis, as soon as I get back, I'll be able to finish my post in our spar and then we can move to the next step that you and I were talking about with having some more fun.

Hello again Ayenee. It has been a very long time again, and RL has been keeping me occupied like a good majority of us. Had the net back for awhile, but have not been on my comp much cause most of my free time has been spent watching a little movies online with my wife when I pau work, then sleeping due a huge change in my work schedule.

I have good news though, with all my hard work at work during my past year with my job, I was finally promoted from crew to Assistant Manager with training to become Store Manager. It was with this promotion that my work hours have dramatically shifted. The company that I am with also transferred me from the store that I was in, and gave me my own store to manage when they promoted me. This past couple months have been very rough trying to work the kinks out of the store and to get it running smoothly, but it was worth it.

My company has been waiting for me to get my driver's license so that they can promote me to full Store Manager due to a license being a requirement. Yes, I know that I'm almost 37 and have never had my license before. But with the change in my schedule that happened, it actually gave my wife the chance to teach me how to drive, and given me the chance to learn so that I can actually get my license. All the years that I have been with my wife, my previous job schedules and vehicle complications that have happened to us in the past never gave us the chance for me to learn and practice, but now that has changed. My Driver's Test is Monday and we have positive thoughts about it.

Once I get my license and promotion, I know that things will change again but it will all be worth it to support my family even better. I'll be back soon though, not sure when but I will be back. I miss you guys. Catch you around. Laterz.
