Ayenee
Fort Miller
Ittô Juni Tsubei Kyoka walked towards a completely converted rapid deployment module science lab and command center hybrid. It was to be the A-Files new transportable office of sorts as they traveled about Ayenee if and when the mission called for the lab itself, rather than only the personnel that inhabited it. It was modular, inherently, and featured communication equipment with a circular table and chairs around it to the left of the door then a work bench and desk with science analyzers and a soul transfer tube to the right of it. Today it was within the POM walls at Fort Miller, where Kyoka walked into its depths. The table’s volumetric display showed a red dragon and crest of Ayenee that faded to show the Hinomaru of the Star Army of Yamatai. She watched out of her peripherals as this happened while setting herself up in the most Western chair of the command center portion to the left of the door of the travel-ready container.
The personnel about to file into the container would know only the name of their assignment, Project Aether Files, and that of their commanding officer, Kyoka herself. She waited with her face receptive and calm as she watched with twinkling eyes the first person arrive, Oshiro Masumi.
"Good morning," the SAINT Nekovalkyrja, Kyoka, said as she stood and bowed to Masumi, who returned the courtesy. "I will ask you to sit and wait for a few others to arrive before asking mission specific questions."
"Understood," Masumi, the scientist, said as she stretched her red epaulette-clad shoulders in the Ayenee Space Coalition Uniform. She took a seat near the wall that faced the door while Tsubei Kyoka readied to speak.
"How are you liking the planet so far?"
Idle chit chat was not Masumi's forte and she sort of shook her head once and looked away from Kyoka, then back at her, "Not very well."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear tha—" the SAINT operative said before looking to the door, which had just opened.
