Sinful Feline

The feline tilted her head towards the woman as she called out to her, large emerald eyes blinked slowly as she gazed at the woman, debating, then with another slow swish of her tail the large cat leaped gracefully to a lower branch. She was about to leap lower, perhaps even allow herself to come with in petting distance of the woman when the air erupted with quacking and the sound of a startled, angry man.
It was that loud mouthed duck from the pond, she knew with out even looking that it had to be him and that he must be on another paper hunt. Usually she found the exchanges between the wild male duck and its human prey entertaining, even feeling pity towards the human the duck had set its beak out to torture. But no, not this time. Why? Because the human male dared yell at the female who was about to give the feline her undivided attentions, perhaps even a good ear scratching.
The large umber feline dropped to the ground between the man and woman. Her back arching even as her feet touched the grass. A low but steadily growing louder hiss poured from it’s fur lined muzzle, the feline was ready to show the man some claws should he step closer to the woman. However the cat noticed that the duck had not gained his beloved prize of fallen papers like he usually did, and that because he had no treasure to stalk off with, the duck was still enraged and on a rampage. This, the cat thought as she stopped hissing and let her fur fall once more smoothly along her back, was going to be one heck of a sight and she wasn’t going to miss a single peck of action.
