Troubles of Old

This is something new I was trying out.. I didn't have much time to edit yet.. so bare with me and tell me what you think.

There sat two houses
Of about the same size.
In between, a yard, a fence,
And many scattered things.

The patrons were scarce,
Hardly did they speak.
They shared no real connection,
Mostly of hate.

The house on the left
Was shaggy and old.
Pieces misplaced
Kept the insides cold.

The house on the right
Was spacious and bold.
Happiness glistened,
It was a perfect home.

Uncaring waivered through the old,
When darkness came,
Many occupants did come,
No remorse for those.

Hard feelings were not stricken,
No angry words were given,
Forgiveness was heeded,
The Right house stayed bold.

Trouble came upon
The house of old.
Strewn apart,
When thought to be Bold.

Time passed, seasons moved,
Then trouble look to be Good.
They came next door,
And where welcomed in.

Surprised at this,
Realization came to pass.
A smile came to their face,
And both shared a laugh.
