Hey everyone! I'm back again to say my hello's and hey remember me's! After several years of staying away from role playing, I've recently gotten the itch to find it again. I've been searching the internet to find something that relates to the experiences I had on yahoo, and I just can't seem to find it.
There is a bunch of forum based role playing going on out there. Places like Myth-weavers, RP Gateway, Tangled Web, and many others.. but that's just to slow for me and I lose focus. I long for the random encounters created by chat and the excitement a good battle could bring.
I've also been searching the Darkmyst server on IRC, where I have found some table-top RP. The problem there though is that RP depends on a GM being there and people to watch the GM. And from my recent experiences in IRC it seems all the rooms are just people sitting around idling. There's many RP rooms but no RP, so its very disheartening.
There is some good role play on visual MMO's, but I'm not going to dish out the money just to RP a night or two a week.
Have you guys located any good chat roleplays on the interwebs? Would you share your experiences with me?
