Slipping the bloody necklace in a pocket, Kayt withdrew her sword and followed him out the side door. She would stay behind him and his men letting them take out the majority of the resistance. She had been pushed back against the wall by one of the drow attackers. She had strength enough to block his attacks but not to take the advantage from him. Luckly one of Vel's men was close enough by to help, although neither would admit to it later. He sliced through the mans side wheeling him around and then his sword came down on the drows shoulder sending him to the ground.
She stayed against the wall for a moment trying to control her breathing. Slowly however she started to slide down the wall and her vision was blurring. The soldier that had helped her before muttered something and hauled her up like a sack of patotoes over his shoulder. She moaned but couldn't protest.
