Staff and Forum Cleanup

As a security and housekeeping measure, I will be removing members from the staff/admin/moderator positions if they don't post something in the next 30 days. After that, we may do staff recruiting based on the site's needs. Obviously if we're going to get Ayenee going again, we need active people who will show up and post.

Additionally, forums that don't get used may be consolidated. For example, I was thinking it might make more sense right now to have one main RP board, and the topics can be tagged with a thread prefix their genre (e.g. sci-fi RP) instead of having a forum for each genre. No topics would be deleted, just tagged and moved. Let me know what you think of this idea.

Also I'm still looking for a permanent style (the look of the site) for the forums, let me know if you have a XenForo style to suggest.
 
Staff editing makes sense. Nearly all of the even semi-active people are those who held some type of moderator or admin position.

As far as the forum rearranging goes, I'd be concerned about the board appearing to be lacking. The RP forums are the majority of the site. Putting them all in one location will make this place look like a ghost town. (Even moreso.)

Well I don't know if I should be staff or not anymore, I am pretty sure I retired in 2009 when I elevated Madi to Admin status...As for activity etcetera I never know how active I'll be. Anyhow As for the consolidation concept I see a value in it to a degree which is why I started moving the older dead threads into the Library. However I know that within Ayenee generally there was not a truly defined section of Hard science or Magic, because there was no means through which to enforce in open chat-rooms, which is why separating them out became so loved in the forum side, but with the lack of the Yahoo Chat option to help bolster the forced acceptance perhaps having them split is no longer as valid. Although Wes that does remind me do we still have chatrooms on this new thingy ?
 
I'm going to add the chatroom soon. I just got to make the purchase and install the add-on.

Once it's set up maybe we can email the members and try to have a weekly chat day where we can have enough folks on to make it interesting.
 
Oh side note Nick Dragonsblood as an Admin was a backup account of mine so you can probably demote that account.
