So... I've kinda been drifting through your threads for a week or so now, mainly because there are a few writers whom I absolutely love to read here. I saw the free form thread and thought maybe I could post something I wrote not long ago, it was just a few posts, during a session where I was learning about having a mage character. I think I would actually like to bring Paige into play at some point, the picture I have is the image of her I have in my mind. But anyways before I start to ramble >.< just a couple paragraphs, to stick my foot out from the shadows.

Behind hooded gaze, bare feet making not a sound as they moved Paige through the halls of the old castle she was raised in. Paintings lined the corridor with memories of early childhood, some fond, most no so much. She had a purpose in coming back here, to this place that whispered to her in nightmares of years past, the thoughts of never ending sadness, anger, and anguished soul cried louder within her mind with the last parting nights. The eve of her mothers death, the day dawn stood still before her weeping crystal blues, as the man whom she would never call Father again, pierced his blade into Paige’s only shining light’s heart, the words spoken forever etched within her “If I can not have your heart, no man shall!”

Silken hood slid back from onyx locks, her hand trembled upon the knob to the door of where he slept, the vibrating snores bringing her thoughts back to the scene she had dreamt of since that tragic day. Padding silently to the foot of his bed, Paige pulled the velvet bag from her belt; with it opened she reached in grasping the only thing she ever was left with of her mother, a few ashes. Paiges lips upturning into an almost sinister smile, she began to draw energy from the Aethir, visions of him, waking in a fiery bed sheet, fear grasping his voice rendering him silent as she avenged her mother. The free hand slowly turns palm upward, a dim glow of orange and yellow flickered to life, a few sparks, and then flames licking her finger tips reflecting off the tears she didn’t even notice rolling down her pale cheeks.

The ash within her grip being ground into her flesh, Aethir building within her as the flames danced their way up her flesh. She thought of a sphere of 4 feet by 4 feet enough to encompass him and the bed, which would land on her father’s chest waking him to her delight, brow furrowing as sweat started to begin to mix with the tears and one would not be able to tell she wept anymore. Paige’s knees began to tremble, not in fear but from the exertion given to cast her revenge, the frail girl started to sway back and forth.

Had the girl worn shoes, the heat that had crept higher with each passing second, would have melted the soles for sure, her hatred and sorrow fueling the blaze that grew intent on the meal it hungered for. One last parting image of her mother, the smile she gave to Paige as she slumped to the floor, whispered words “I will always be watching” would spur Paige’s last efforts pushing all she had into that sphere, the Aehtir within her pulsating, Paige envisioned it flying through the few feet onto him, like that of a dragons breath, and with that her eyes opened wide, she yelled only but one word “ABLAZE!”, flicking her wrist in his direction, the sound of her scream waking him, bolting upright to look dead on with the fireball released from her palm intent to impale him to his bed, devouring his body in a roasted feast, alive. With the flow of the Aehtir gone from her, her knees finally gave, sending her to the floor to watch on as her mothers death was avenged, struggling to keep herself awake to make sure the flames did as was needed, before finally passing out at the foot of the bed.
