Old days of Yahoo chat

Hey all!

I used to play late 90s and early 00s, but I was by no means notorious and only had a small group of friends. Would be interested in getting back into RP, but this place seems to half dead. If anybody needs a player to add numbers to their threads let me know. I'm sure I bounced in and out of some of the same Ayenee rooms of at least some of you back in the day. In the meantime I might try to insert myself into some the most recent Ayenee Capital City thread.
 
I'm going to be starting a new thread pretty soon since we have Porgros and Mousie wanting to start up something. Keep your eyes peeled.

I would love to be involved in some RP if anything new is starting. I'll keep checking the forums on the regular. If you want anybody to bounce ideas off message me, discuss it here or whatever--anything would be cool!
 
Ungar if you'd like you're more than welcome to start your own RP. But if you'd rather join one, what genre do you prefer?
 
I usually enjoy playing tech based stuff, but I also liked making my tech stuff fit in with whatever everybody else was playing. That was what was fun about Ayenee chat rooms, sometimes something would just work like that.
 
lol, yeah the war between the guyvers and cryclad was pretty entertaining. medieval style dragons versus sci-fi borg-men. Alright well I'll see if I can come up with something, or coax someone else to, lol.

Holy crap, I just found this place thanks to another old Ayenee friend. I used to play in the late 90s- early 00s, as Phil the mudokon. Hello! Not sure if anyone remembers me but I have many fond memories of Ayenee during that time, and I would love to play here again with you fine folks.
 
Well I can't say that the name sounds familiar, but given the huge number of players, that's not really all the surprising. Anyway, but if you want to play, then go for it! Feel free to message me with any game ideas or questions. :D Oh yeah, and welcome back. :D

I've been here before, just never said anything.

As the name implies - Lord_Reno_Nalanthi. I recognize a few names.
 
I love coming back to this forum and seeing others reminiscing here. I miss the times we had in Avenue and I've never been able to find that enjoyment in online rp since. Might be age and imagination but I wish I could grasp it again.

As for who I was in the past, I played the good and the bad. I was the creator of the Knight's Tavern, Cynit City, Gashmere, and a long time member of the Knights of the Round, the Triple Threat and the kingdom of Strom. Some of my charaters were Copper the Knight, Seroith Hall, Malek Blackfury, Seth Ballard, Grammel Linysu, Sarren Lewllyn, and Jonas Creed.

Man i miss these extensions of my lifr.

I seem to remember some of your names, and definitely one of the venues you created.

I miss those times, too. I've found other writing elsewhere to partake in online, but some of those stories and times were special, and are very time specific in my mind.

It's funny how much things have changed, but they really have. I think part of that came with the update to the chat rooms, profiles and generally how Yahoo decide to run their live chat platform. But also, people grow older and often outgrow roleplay, even for a time.

I've written these fictional tales since I was twelve, and I'm not twenty eight. I've not been a solid partaker in these rp stories that entire time, but I dip my toe in now and again.

If you ever want to catch up and reminisce and even write, let me know. I'm always happy to touch base with ex-Yahoo rp writers.
 
Hello all, I used to RP in the A and E user rooms in the golden days. I created the Samsaki clan and RPed under many names including Imperial_Cataclysm, Imperfect_Cataclysm and Toxa_Freenight. I hope all is doing well.
 
Does anybody here know where anything even remotely comparable to Ayenee's chatrooms might exist today? You would think there would be some venue similar where people could gather and play. I really sorely miss the ability to just pop in and play in some tavern or other whenever I felt like it, and there are some friends I think would really enjoy rping but there's just nothing out there like I remember from the old days. Does Google or Yahoo or anyone have a live rp chatroom system that's decent?
 
Hey all - I used to roleplay as many characters in the Y!Chat days. Alaumbryia was my primary character, but I also used to play Altair, Naydra, Aeriyn, and others. Was a member of the Obiru, Kanashi, and Azeranoth clans (those are the only two I remember right now, but there were more). Nice to see people from around those parts.

Was in Obiru, FEISAR, Blood Claw Syndicate, Kageru and APD. I love and miss the old days of Freeform rp. I wish it was still around. Cheers to you all.
