My internet just crapped on me....

So I'm on my computer, at work. There are two computers that are hooked into the network and pushed through a router. One is mine, the other is my husband's. All was well and good until a surge slammed through our office for no reason, and my computer restarted. Neither comp could connect, so we shut down both comps, unplugged the switch and the router, re-hooked everything back up, and now his computer works.

That's right. His Mine still won't connect to the internet. It just says "Acquiring network address."

Qwest doesn't 'handle' that...as they said. Simply because the internet's working, just not on my computer.

Can anyone help?

BTW, it's a DSL line (That's the best offered where my office is at.)

I'll ask the following:

Is your connection to the router wired or wireless?

If it's wired...
Have you tried plugging your computer into a different ethernet port on the router?
Have you tried plugging your computer into the ethernet port that the working computer is plugged into? If that doesn't work, does the other computer work in the other ethernet ports, including the one your computer normally was on?

If it's wireless...
... I can't think of anything on the router's end here.

If your connection is wired, there's the possibility that the power surge carried through the router and fried your network adapter. If the router isn't on a surge protector, it's possible that the surge traveled through it.
