Gorfan

Saber is apparently quite the wiley foe, as he evades Gorfan's attack as well, and makes good on his escape. Something tells you that it won't be the last you see of him.

{OOC: Everyone who lived gets 225 XP.}

Gorfan

Upon seeing the warforged make good his escape, Gorfan turned to his remaining companions, Soryn and Alo, and addressed them gravely.

" My friends, it appears that our fighter and faithful companion Alhias has tasted death at the hand of that foul warforged...from what I could ascertain, he was slain while unconscious and helpless"

The cleric looked again to the man's butchered corpse and shook his bearded head slowly.

" At any rate, I would normally wish for a decent burial for Alhias, but little more than hard stone here.." Gorfan kicking some stone for emphasis.

Soryn

The rogue was silent after all that had occurred. The fact that Saber had escaped them and had taken the victory over Ahlias with him stirred up something odd within this rogue but he still maintained his stance as Gorfan spoke. It wasn't until the mention of a burial that Soryn interjected. Though it might seem this rogue could care less about traditional things such as these, he spoke with just a hint of emotion.

"What do you suggest we do then cleric? Leave his slain carcass here and abandon him?"

It wasn't an attack at Gorfan at all, but even this rogue felt as if Ahlias deserved a bit more than that. No matter how foolhardy the warrior was, he had served them well thus far.

Gorfan

The reply from the rogue was not something the cleric was fully accustomed to from a rogue of all people but Gorfan knew that even they had compassion for others who undeservedly died...usually one of their own. He bowed his head down for a moment as if in deep contemplation, and then knew what had to be done.

" You are right Soryn," Gorfan said quietly," despite the fact that there is little that even Boldrei could do to rectify our situation, he does deserve a decent burial"

Soryn

The reply in itself had not been laced with huge emotion. It was not the death of Ahlias that affected him much but the fact that now it would be harder to drag all they had gotten from that foundry without some brutish warrior to carry it all on his back. The thought alone made him sigh out loud before he began to search Ahlias for anything he figured they would need.

"Do as you please with the burial, I am more concerned with leaving all of this here and not making use of it."

As blunt as that was, it held much truth as the only respect that this rogue should give is the continuation of whatever goal they had here.

"Lets finish this mission of yours and get the schema back to whoever wanted it."

Alo

Alo ran over to the others after the fight had ended. Just in time to catch the end of what Gorfan said.

"Can you clerics not raise the dead?" He asked

Soryn

The rogue worked diligently to take what he thought he needed from the warrior's body and then moved up to a stand, dusting himself off and moving back to the area where they fell from the roof to take anything they may have left behind.

This man was obviously ready to move on now.

Gorfan

The cleric turned to Alo and replied rather gruffly," We clerics can raise the dead, but those who can are very few and far between my friend, so I'm afraid I cannot reverse death"

Turning to Alhias' dead body, Gorfan wondered if anything of use to him would suffice for him and he sauntered over to inspect the warrior's body.

Soryn

Returning with much of what he could carry (Galifar bags), he made sure to note what he took from Ahlias' body by placing the items in respective compartments.

((OOC: Soryn took all the sunrods, Ahlias' money, and the crossbow bolts. Thats it))

Alo

"Why do all our companions keep dying?" Alo asked himself quietly as he transferred the two healing potions and the scheme from Ahlias' backpack to his own.

{OOC: Gorfan, just list down what you took from Ahlias on your next post. I'm going to speed things up here.}

Exit

The group makes their way out of the ruins. Alo finds his rope where he left it leading up to the sewers. With some effort, the group gets themselves back up to the sewers and then back to the upper levels of Sharn.

They finally head to the Broken Anvil Tavern and find their patron waiting. She asks "Do you have it?"

Gorfan

((OOC: Gorfan had taken 4 sheets of parchment, ink and inkpen,map/scroll case, his scale mail and great sword))
