Arakan straightened his Caeyorian uniform, the dress whites had a much formal arrangement to the white and grey paneled duty uniform that most were used to wearing, gold fringed rope epaulets crowned in crafted tribal-etched niranium armored pieces that framed the stature into something more brooding. The Imperial insignia of the Eitan Ysi was clipped to the mandarin-style collar that hugged the form of his neck, in perfect alignment of the gold zipped that ran the entire length of the jacket. Short buzzed blue hair with platinum angled stripe that followed in a backward arch from just above his right eye. Arakan had not been seen in years, save for glimpses in passing, and recently rumors of his activity had surfaced in association with the ascension of Teal Lunari as the new Xyr'Aest. The elder brother of Caecyan had a reputation, and it was not the kind that had people asking him questions about where he had been all those years. Many questioned, quietly what is return meant for Caecyan and Sin that had maintained the Eitans in his and Ji's absence, but he had yet to do anything save to put on a military uniform and sit in on a few unimportant meetings that had made more than one of the Admirals stammer as he stared them down with his cold icy gaze.
Arakan was the name he had taken when they had crossed the threshold into this new universe, unlike many of their kind he was unsatisfied of any notion that he had any relation to his well-known counterpart on this side of the portal, and he had made it clear that who he was and what he was capable was going to remain a matter of their national security. He entered the conference room and the lights dimmed, the volumetric projections of the other members of the Imperial Bloc appeared one by one; Sin and Caecyan Eitan, Severce and Sorin Eitan, Teal Lunari and her Aide Uathotho, Ethan and Angelica Orinas as well as Cassius Wraithen who had recently left New Eden to join their ranks, a collaborator and one that had brought them relevant intelligence.
Traditionally, this kind of meeting would be called by the Xyr, the one with the most power. It was Arakan however that had brought them all to this minute of coordination. He brushed his fingers idly through the sides of his short trimmed goatee before he looked down at the g-pad that confirmed the communications system had synced and encrypted the signal, “My apology for the short notice and abruptness of this meeting, but at the request of the Xyr'Aest it has been decided best that I bring a strategic plan forwards to ensure our victory over the Craethel and the continued establishment of the Caeyorian nation in this universe as well as our unification, and integration of Norian kind in this OA. We face opposition on many fronts, and it has become obvious that some nations are more interested in foolish courses of action, rather than keeping their promises to fight the Craethel and keep this universe in the hands of Unya – where it rightfully belongs,” his words were issued with confidence, and an understanding of the established mission goals.
“Go on please, Xal,” Teal said as she observed the rest of the Bloc, she could not help but wonder what they thought of her decision to bring him back to the table with them all. She glanced towards Uathotho briefly and gave a slight nod and then returned her attention to Arakan.
Arakan lowered his head in respect, “Thank you, Xyr. At this time, I will not seek the leadership over the Eitans, I believe Caecyan and Sin have that under control. Rather I will be reinstating my leadership of our military forces and will accept the Xyr's offer to be Xal'Sae of the Military Sphere,” he revealed where he had been placed, rather the only thing he would of accepted anyway, not that he would openly reveal the Xyr had a single weakness, he was a patriot after all who had the title twice himself in their history. “My military advisors and I have established two priority objectives that will undergo immediate redistribution and redeployment of our forces. The first is the Craethel stronghold at Ayem'vu, and the second will be a full incursion and annex of New Eden, thanks to the information provided to us by Cassius upon his defection, we believe we can liberate the Norian population there with little to no known-Cli'cha deaths.” This had been planned, these targets were precise and followed the logic of what had already been successful since the cross-over.
Caecyan chimed in, he nodded supportive of his brother's motion but had his own questions to ask. “What shall our process be with these two young men in our care? I mean an attack on New Eden will end the humanitarian aide both Lorenz and Noria are receiving...” he waited for either the Xyr or Xal to answer his query. His image distorted ever so slightly as the transmission carried across a long range.
“Excellent question, we will pick up where New Eden has left off...Who better to rebuild Norian worlds, than other Norians?” Teal replied, her question didn't need an answer, rather it filled the point. “This is when we step up, reach out and make our people strong again. We bring the two siblings and the son of Cheol into the Bloc and we coexist, and become one nation should they understand the sanity we can restore on their worlds and put them back in this fight. The rest will work itself out in time,” Teal said, the edges of her lips lifted ever so slightly, proud of her own contribution to this discussion.
Ethan Orinas cleared his throat, the Paecifican monarch wouldn't let an opportunity like this to go to waste, “I suggest, we handle this matter with intensive focus and care. My dear peers, we are looking at a people, a universe which had nearly decimated itself before our arrival. While I am all for this unification of our kind, ridiculous obstructions, substitutions and compromises that have been forced upon these poor Norians must be reversed as we move forward. That means they will have to abandon this foolish notion of species equality!” he scoffed, dramatic in disgust of his own mention of it.
A wry smile crossed Caecyan's face, he glanced briefly towards Ethan and then towards the Xyr, “These people carry the regret of a generation born in war, born in desperation. I believe entirely in the young sibling leaders in this case. They will not hesitate to step in a direction which will be better for all Norian-kind.” The young leader had energy, there was no question of that, and he was willing to put his own reputation on the line to help these young leaders that had been thrown into power as their universe crumbled around them.
Teal pursed her lips briefly, a thoughtful look rested on her face as she considered the words of the two leaders. “Caecyan, we have entrusted you will the care of these young people and will continue to trust your direction and the hope that a true sense of what they still exist under the pains these crises have laid on them. Ethan, I likewise share your concern and therefore I ask that the new Xal'Sae devote a portion of our Yaducath Intelligence bandwidth to the continued monitor, firewall and protective measures of our counterparts and their people. We are all one species, all one and we will see a day where all Norians live again in harmony under a banner, under an Imperial rule guided by tradition and culture as we have so bold sworn our oath to uphold.” The new Xyr made sure her place in all of it was firm, it would give the others the strength and confidence to follow her lead.
Arakan was in agreement with the Xyr's position on the matter, he also supported his brother. “The YIA will have their hands in the matter, I am confident then we are all in agreement on the two action items we have identified, so that I may begin a redeployment strategy to accommodate for these new fronts. “ He reached for the controls at the table, “If any of you feel the need to reach out individually, you know how to reach me,” he stated as he tapped the button which caused the volumetric transmissions from the other leaders to end, one after the other they disappeared.
