Bram slaps his hands together and dances alittle jig and says enthusiastically " I'm always up for fun and games." Regaining his composer Bram thinks to himself " What can I gain from these two men during the expedition? Is Leric wanting to take out the False King just to gain the throne and become wealthy, on top of his power? I'll have to keep a keen eye on this man for awhile." Bram turns to Leric and says " do you have a plan of any sort or flying by the seat of your scaled ass?"

(OOC: Auto w/ permission)

PORGROS: Leric could hardly believe the sheer audacity of Inferno. Here he was trying to show some measure of decency and devotion, and he gets threatened. The seemingly foolish shenanigans of Bram didn't help matters any.

His initial reaction was to lash out at this self-important stranger, but he needed the experience Inferno could provide. He rose to his feet and took in a deep breath to compose himself before responding. "Very well. Shall we go, then?"

RHYSIS: Inferno shrugged and turned his head to the elderly shop keeper. "It would seem you were right, again, Madaam Norri."

The old woman smiled, though she didn't look over. "I always am, Dear."

Inferno smiled then looked back to the two others. "Alright then gentlemen...and of course I use the term loosely...where to?"

" Well the destination would depend on Leric, however I do have some personal business we could attend to in the south east." Bram replies casually. Looking over to the old woman, Bram decides to buy some supplies that may come in handy. Walking to the counter he ask " I need to purchase some medical supplies and about five pounds of dried meat. " The old lady says " no problem for three silver shillings." Bram digs in his pouch and slaps silver pieces on the counter. The old lady hands him the goods and Bram looks at the other two and replies " ready when you two are."

"To where the dragoons once lived to the far north then from there we will go west past the shattered mountains to the kingdom of the batrayer where I will rip his heart out and burn his kingdom with the vengeance of my people!" Leric looks over at inferno and Bram looking at these two men he comes to a conclusion "they are going to be the death of me" Leric sighs and starts to walk for the door and looks back "lets go I am tired of this place."

"He fancies himself the leader now that I inquired to his desired destination." Inferno's thoughts went out to the friend he'd been in communication with for a while now.

"Let it be so. It will give us the opportunity to see what amount of mettle he holds. If he proves himself in the wilds of Ayenee, he may yet survive the infestation of the draconic spirit enslaved within that gem he holds."

Inferno nodded while looking at Leric. "You're the expert in these matters. I yield to your opinion in this case."

Aloud, the burster spoke to the others he was with. "You don't know a lot about the layout of Ayenee, do you?" He didn't bother waiting for the response. Leric's intended route made it clear he didn't. "To travel to the ancient homeworld of the dragoons presents unimaginable hazards in and of itself. Beyond that, there are no passageways through the shattered mountains from that far north of a distance. I'm all for the journey if you're positive that's the route you want to take, but I don't know that I'd speak so casually of it. Ayenee has equal measure of beauty and ferocity, splendor and terror. It can just as easily take life as it does to grant it."

Inferno looked back and forth between both of them. Madaam Norri and the few others in the guildhouse all seemed to focus on Bram and Leric, as well. They had all seen more than their fair share of marvelous and horrifying events throughout the world that was Ayenee. It was as if those who had been a part of the adventuring side of this world for some time were simultaneously trying to send these two young would-be warriors a message. This world was not what they would expect, and always had a surprise in store. They would be well advised to stay on their toes. Inferno continued, while an ominous air filled the room. "Maintain your wits and steel your hearts. This world that you think you have been a part of up to this point in your brief existences is about to reveal a taste of what it can truly bring forth. Be ready."

With that said, Inferno made his way outside and turned left to begin the journey northward. For all his flashy nature and apparent thoughtless demeanor, the rightful head of the Burster family line was well meaning, and had a great concern for life. In truth, he hoped these two could handle the journey. He'd been all over Ayenee, and seen many of the unexpected twists it had to offer. These two, though they tried to hide it, were green. This trip would be interesting, to say the least.

Following the two men northward, Bram keeps to himself and monitoring the other two mens movements and comments, that may lead him astray.

a silence falls among the rag tag group as they slowly walk northward a slight chill in the air as they walk the trail leading outside the village. The jingle of armor and the sounds of soft breathing are all they hear.

Leric looks to his left "So I see Inferno that you are not well pleased with me and that I am what did you say? that I am sloppy? Yes that was it. I am no warrior I am a blacksmith the only swords I ever touched was as I forged them. I did not come to this power willingly nor did I wish to have it. Because of this damn thing I am hunted and every one I have know or have loved died because of this cursed thing." Lerics eyes begin to fill with tears as the memorys of his past life flood back he chokes them back and says a few last words to Inferno "We all dont always want what we are given but what we are given is what we need to make us stronger in the most high God." Leric says softly and with a pleasent tone. Leric turns his head to the right "Bram I see it in your eyes you question what is in my heart and my actions for wanting to kill the false king. Whether it be for me to grab the throne he has built or if I wish to rid this world of this scum? To be truthful to you I have no Idea what is in my heart I just do that which is asked of me to do from the most high God." Leric turns his head and faces foward and utters under his breath while holding on to the jewel necklace around his left wrist "I have much to attone for."

Inferno was content to walk in silence. It allowed him, at least in part, to forget that he was now playing host to a pair of young, inexperienced, and questionable would-be adventurers. Leric's short monologue gave him some insight into the youth, but that was not what he needed.

Upon Leric mentioning his lost loved ones, Inferno's fist clenched. Yet, he restrained his initial reaction. He opted, instead, to utilize this opportunity to test his companions. "I don't care about your reason for choosing to embark on this quest. Nor do I care about the pain of your past. Everyone in this world has their own story. I'm not a scribe or a bard. Save it."

Inferno stopped and turned to face the other two. His glare was solid and determined. "What I am interested in is your ability to handle yourselves in a fight. I'm not about to play escort to two rookies who have no idea what they're doing. Leric, your display of power at the village was impressive, but it required no problem-solving. Bram, I know nothing of your abilities. And so, I'll give you a test. Since I don't want you two killed just yet I'll not fight you myself. Instead, allow me to introduce you to the element of your challenge."

Inferno didn't bother giving them the opportunity to object to his test or not. He thrust his right hand forward toward a fallen log not far off. The dried wood erupted into flames immediately. Inferno moved a good distance away and climbed to the top of a large rock. To keep Bram and Leric's attention, two large fireballs shot out at a rather impressive speed, each one aimed directly at one of the young adventurers.

" Damn!" Bram yells, side stepping to his right as the fireball zooms by mere inches from his arm. " Listen here you flamer, you do that again and your going to get on my ferocious side. "

Leric sees bram start to move side steeping the fireball Leric catchs the sight of the fire ball out of the courner of his eye.

"What am I to do? I am not fast enough to dodge that!"
"Boy he will not kill me I will not give him the pleaser!" the old dragon roars in Lerics mind.
the flames are now with in licking distance of Leric when he feels a burning feeling with in his mouth "Open your mouth stupid!" the old dragon whispers. Leric opens his mouth and a flame shoots forth comsuming the fire ball stopping it. Leric feels the power of the old dragon raging threw him as his body changes to the dragoon form.

Leric looks up at Inferno as he starts to flap his wings lifting himself of the ground waiting to see what is next from this pyro.

Inferno chuckled lightly at Bram's accusation while enjoying his spot on the large rock. "You'd like to think you could dodge an attack from me so easily." The burster then pointed to the direction of the burning log. "Best keep your eyes on your targets, boys."

From the midst of the dancing flames stepped two large creatures that looked to be made of burning lava. Inferno had called forth two minor flame elementals to combat the men. Although some of the wiser people he'd encountered in his life had attempted to get it through to him more than once that it wasn't true, in his mind, if they couldn't fight, they were useless.

The first elemental fully out of the flames wasted no time in choosing the target it wanted. It was aggressive, as most minor elementals were, and found great pleasure in the idea of taking on a dragoon, however inexperienced they may be. In an instant it was dashing forward and up with a trail of flame behind it. It had a very simple plan, grab hold of the dragoon and let the fiery makeup of its own body consume Leric.

The other elemental was a bit slower, and a bit less aggressive...though not by much. Seeing as the more tempting target had been claimed, it chose to settle for the one remaining. It deployed a very similar tactic to the first elemental, and darted forward with incredible speed. It, however, pushed forth a wall of flame before itself while aiming at Bram. The goal it had in mind was to force its opponent out of his element, and hopefully cause a few singe marks along the way.

" Ooouch " Bram screams in pain as he was plowed into the side by the elemental. Staggering to get up, he looked down in bewilderment and cursed at Inferno " I just got this shirt last month and it cost me 10 schillings!" Standing on two feet now glaring at Inferno, Bram shouts " some of us don't posses crazy fire tricks or can produce little matchstick men. How about an actual living, breathing, organic beeping human being, no wait even a troll will work. I beginning to think your momma didn't love you enough!"

Leric peers over at inferno with a deep dark vocie he says "Welp you dare send such a weakling to fight me?! I am not like that weak cry baby that inhabits this fleshy weak body I am Chaos of the north an elder dragon! Your weak fire magic makes me laugh boy. Now watch as the hungring cold of the north devours your toy!"

Chaos starts to utter a spell under his breath ice starts to cover the ground beneath the lesser fire elemental. Chaos smiles and looks to bram "You there boy! Your a dog are you not? Your blood gives off the disgusting scent of one and yet you let such a weak thing hit you. You do your bloodline shame!" Chaos starts to laugh wickedly "Leave them alone old dragon they dont deserve such treatment! say what you will to me but leave them alone!" Lerics normal vocie comes out. chaos just keeps laughing wickedly.

Inferno half-cringed as he watched Bram get run over. Being of the Burster family, rather than choosing to become a burster by vocation, he'd never experienced the pain of a burn, but he knew from second-hand knowledge that it was supposed to be the most intense pain one could experience. That being the case, he couldn't imagine the amount of pain Bram must be feeling. Not only had he allowed himself to be hit by the wall of flame the elemental had been pushing before it, but then the elemental itself, a being made up of sentient burning lava, plowed right over him.

Inferno was somewhat impressed that Bram could speak after that, much less yell, but he seemed to have the flawed logic that Inferno was controlling the elementals. The Burster was simply an observer once he'd called them forth. Bram's opponent took no pity on him, however. As soon as it was able to stop its momentum, it turned around and used the moment of Bram focusing on Inferno instead of itself, and lobbed several large balls of lava toward him.

The elemental that was targeting Leric screamed as the enchanted ice began to run up the pillars of burning lava it was using as legs. Before the ice could climb up too high, a fountain of flame shot out from the middle of its body, separating the rest of it's form from the legs, and launching the elemental into the air. It took but a moment to regrow the legs. It, too, decided to take advantage of it's distracted opponent. While the creature who called itself Chaos was trying to mock Inferno and Bram, the elemental called up several lava geysers. Pillars of streaming lava shot up all around the two airborne combatants, coming from at least half a dozen different places at once. Some were headed directly for the Dragoon, others shot well above them and rained lava back down on the entire area. That, by itself, would make it impossible to avoid being hit by falling lava. The area was quickly turning into a volcanic display.

Inferno watched intently, having fully expected some type of event that would ruin the area. He would have to keep watch. He may have been uncaring in many regards, but he would not tolerate a wide area of destruction. If the fires became too intense, he'd be forced to snuff them out.

Mousie_x1: Bram scowled at Inferno, fully expecting the arrogant pyromancer to bark back some high-sounding insult. He was surprised that nothing of the sort came out of Inferno's mouth. He was equally surprised by the ball of lava that whizzed by his head. That got his attention back on the elemental in no time flat.

Seeing the additional lava balls headed toward him forced him to move quickly. Thankfully, he had heightened reflexes and was far more agile than any human could ever dream. He ducked and weaved, jumped and rolled, and altogether made himself look like an expert martial artist at some exhibition show. In the middle of the dance he'd been forced into, he grabbed up a rather large rock. As he continued to move, he waited for the best time, then right as he was spinning around from one of the movements, he hurled the big stone directly at the elemental's chest. He figured, if nothing else, it would buy him a little bit of time to figure out what to do next. Inferno was right about one thing, he was hurting badly. He was thankful he could recover quickly, but he'd need at least a few moments of reprieve to do so.

"What is this then? For a weak thing you are quit persistent." Chaos says calmly with a smile on his face. The hungering cold started to spread to the lava spouts that had been erupted out of the ground chilling them. "I am not like that boy I prefer to keep things clean when I kill them. Maybe I am old fashion that way but still no point in to much destruction." Chaos puts up a elemental barrier protecting him from the lave flying at him. He extends his hand and starts chanting something in draconian a dark energy as black as night forms in the palm of his hand "I am done playing with you beast you bore me." Chaos launches the black energy at a very high rate of speed toward the lesser fire elemental that chose to leave the ground right at its chest. "I do hope you like this spell Inferno it is like opening a black hole only less damage and more death and your little beast can't run away from it." Chaos says with a wicked grin.

The stone and the magic ball were both on target, and neither of the elementals would have the necessary time to react. While neither Bram's attack nor that of the dragon spirit currently controlling Leric would actually kill the elemental spirits, it would make them far less amiable toward Inferno if he'd called them forth only to be dispatched. He chose to take matters into his own hands.

"PAYS NATAL FEU!" The voice of the Burster erupted forth and resonated off the trees and rocks. Instantly, the elementals vanished, leaving Bram's rock to roll into the ground, and the dark energy ball of the dragon spirit to fly until it either lost energy or collided with some random object after leaving the planet's atmosphere.

Inferno then walked over to the hungering cold spell that was headed for the lava geysers, and placed his foot directly in the path of the creeping ice. As it began to crawl up his foot, his leg erupted into flame. There was a brief bit of crackling, but soon the energy of the quickly cast spell was exhausted in the battle with the pyromancer, and the spell halted.

"Now for the next order of business..." Inferno held out his hands and gradually lowered them to the ground. The lava geysers ceased, and went back to their natural underground flow. Inferno knew that the enchantments on the land, which ran all about Ayenee, would eventually take care of the damage done by the fire and ice, so he didn't bother with attempting any of that himself. He was far more concerned with Bram and Leric.

He looked over at Bram and just shook his head. "For one who acts so fierce, you have a long way to go."

Inferno then turned his attention to Leric...or rather to the one who called himself Chaos. He went airborne with a jet of flame beneath him, and manipulated the stream of fire so he remained in mid-air directly in front of the dragoon. Paying no more attention to the elemental barrier than he would to a wall of ice, Inferno burned through the clumsily woven barrier spell almost instantly. Quick magic was always good for an instant fix, but when dealing with those who had masterful command of any type of power, it was never the best solution.

The Burster addressed the creature who called itself Chaos directly. His tone was deadly serious, and left no room for thinking that anything less than a threat was intended."My test was meant for Leric! It was not meant for you, and your attempts to show me what you can do have left you looking only more foolish than I first thought you were."

Inferno looked directly into the eyes of the dragoon, and his own eyes flashed for just a moment. In that moment, Chaos would see the red glow that was a telltale sign of only one type of creature. Elder dragons, and only elder dragons, could obtain that kind of a glow in their eyes. It would be painfully obvious that there was an elder dragon looking through Inferno's eyes. Inferno continued once his eyes were back to normal. "You have no idea with whom you are dealing. You will learn your place, and you will stay in it, or what pitiful excuse of a life you now have will be snuffed out for you. Do I make myself perfectly understood?"

Mousie_x1 (OOC: Controlling with permission.)

Bram growled underneath his breath at the words of the burster. It was extremely difficult for him to hold his tongue, but he managed it. He had his reasons for not showing his true potential. This arrogant pyromaniac could think whatever he wished. For now he would simply remain quiet and follow along. His time would come.

Chaos laughs for a few seconds then looks to Inferno "What a large set you have? You'er words fall on deft ears boy! I do not fear death I welcome it but I will not die because this child does not know how to weld the power bestowed upon him. The boy may cower in fear to you but I will not no matter who you know whelp." Chaos resumes his laughter as his voice fades back to Lerics normal voice. Leric regains control over his body the immense strain it took to cast such spells took a toll on him. He closes his eyes as the heaviness of the pain become to much for him to handle. His body becomes limp he starts to fall toward the ground back first. With his last bit of strength he says softly facing Inferno "I am sorry.".

Inferno grabbed Leric by the wrist before he could fall very far. He then lowered the two of them to the ground in a much more controlled descent rather than allowing him to simply crash into the dirt and rocks below. As soon as they were on the ground, he let go of the weakened youth, and looked back and forth between Bram and Leric.

"Neither of you are prepared. One has potential but refuses to show it, the other has ability but cannot control it. neither of you would last more than a day on the intended route. We're changing destinations. There is someone who can help both of you."

With that, Inferno turned and began walking in a northeastern direction, rather then directly north. The voice that had been speaking to him earlier sounded again. "And who are you planning on taking them to see?"

"Someone I swore I'd never interact with again."

"You know he's forgiven you for that day, do you not?"

"Yeah I know. That's what sickens me about him. Never holds a grudge. Well I can't say the same about how I feel toward him, but he's the only one I know who can help that pathetic excuse for a dragoon without killing him."

Inferno would walk, slowly at first, to give Leric a few moments to recover, but nevertheless he would walk, and he would wonder if the person he was thinking of did, in fact forgive him for the past, or if he could expect a glorious battle when they next met.

(OOC: Bram is going to be silently following until Mousie has a chance to take back control of his character. Others are welcome to join in at any time.)
