What home...

That statement eluded to two different things. Either he had actually forgotten of his home, his past and of what he knew of her...or he spoke as if he no longer cared to have a home. She wouldn't speculate to either one. The words of the old woman echoed in her mind regarding her existence without Annerod's and his without hers. Should he wish to be dead, and know of the truth of the witch, then perhaps he would attempt to come after her. In his current state, her survival rate was nearly a hundred percent. After a while, though...it would dramatically decrease as his strength increased. Each of these options and outcomes filled her head as she watched him walk off.

Rising from her seated state, she proceeded to follow him. She remained in this form for two reasons. One, it was maneuverable, quick, and easy to utilize should she need to run, and two...she didn't know how Annerod would react to actually seeing her face...

...exactly as it was when he died so long ago.

Would he remember her of the vampiric race? Would he hunt her like an assassin?

Keeping to the shadows, she moved as if she knew exactly where she should step to keep from the sun's rays. Stilling beneath the overhang of a massive oak, she sat once more. "Tell me of this friend." She questioned.

Annerod stopped as she did and then turned to face her, massive arms crossing over his barrel chest. He eyed her for several long moments, a thick brow raised in contemplation. His once black eyes seemed to have gradually begun to show color, coming to life with a swirling mass of deep purple. The color started small, but a speck, and gradually grew until it nearly encompased the entirety of the black.

"Krellin was a powerful man." He began slowly, uncertain if his memory would serve him well today. "Before I came to realize who and what I am, he was my King and I the Captain of his Royal Knights." His gaze lowered to the ground as he appeared to be scanning the dirt for more of his friend. "Long before I was even self aware of what I am, I was but a boy by human standards, I signed up to join The Knights of Alderly, an eager young boy left without guidance after his Uncle passed away. Years later, Lord Krellin came to me and told me that he sensed something in me that frightened him, yet amazed him just the same." His gaze lifted to hers and a faint smile passed his lips, something she most likely had rarely if ever seen before now. He turned and began to walk once more. "Come, I want to gather my things and see what is left of our old home!" His spirits seemed to have lifted, the hunger long forgotten.

The long branches of the aged oak tree provided ample coverage from the sun. The benefit of this forest was that it had massive coverage in darkness and very little light. Annerod just happened to find the one clearing that she couldn't walk into.

Krellin...

She remembered the name but could not remember how, or why. She didn't remember an encounter with him. The last encounter that she remembered was when her and Annerod had nearly battled each other to the death. She distinctly remembered his wings. Chastine wasn't one to be intimidated, but for Annerod to be as large as he was and then to add the full extension of those massive wings...and talons...

Well, she was just lucky he didn't kill her. The one thought that she had in her mind was if she wanted a chance to kill him, she'd have to do it now when he was weak. Regardless of her own power his size and shape well dominated her own, as well as his power.

She'd watched him die once and knew that she couldn't watch it happen again. She definitely knew that she couldn't be the cause of it. Rising to her fours, she waited for him to gather his things before she would lead him towards the disintegrated memories of their past.
