I've got a few questions for everyone out there.

1. Does anyone use a WoT type system in their characters/play?

2. Does anyone know of a good WoT RP?

3. Any ideas on when the next (last?) book is suppose to be out?

I've read all the books up to know and I absolutely love WoT, but I remember it wasn't to big here when I left. Someone and myself were thinking of doing a plot together but it fell through. Just wondering if anyone had caught on yet or not.

According to Wikipedia, you can expect it in Fall 2009, but it won't be completely written by Robert Jordan, as he passed away while writing it (at age 58, though, according to reports, he left enough notes about the book that Brandon Sanderson, chosen by Jordan's wife and the Tor Books president, can finish it).

Myself, I stopped in the middle of book 10, but I've been trying to pick it back up and get through it and book 11 before book 12 comes out (so I have plenty of time).

As far as for your other two questions, no clue. I haven't been too active in the RPing scene for awhile, and right now, I'm waiting for D&D 4.0 to hit to try and get something started in that.

I read up to number 9 but the snails pace approach meant I never picked up 10. If the last one ties things up well I'll get 10 and 11.

I think there's a D20 WoT system, but I'm not sure.

There is a core rulebook and an expansion, and it's based off of the d20 system that D&D 3.0 is on. But that's all there is, as the rights went back to Robert Jordan after they released the expansion. I did find a netbook, but I haven't looked at it at all.

If you can find the books, they're probably not going to be cheap, either (on eBay in the US, the core is $35 and the expansion is $27).
