The Tower...

Both cat's, Swish and Chesh, heard the dragon and in unison they both yelled

...NO...

Swish with her mouth and Chesh with his mind. The cats knew that the only way to reach the tower was by foot. To fly through or above the grey was possible, but the Gray's spell would leave them lost, always letting them catch sight of the tower of light, but never letting them get close...An optical illusion, one meant to tire and confuse any travelers who where not on the side of darkness, any that where not evil at their core.

Swish withdrew from Jewels lap, with a soft sigh of regret. She marched over to a fallen tree and leaped atop it, cleared her throat rather loudly and spoke.

"Pardon my interruption fellow travelers...."

She waited tell all where looking at her and she knew they where listening before she continued.

"There is no easy way, no short cut, no portal or manor of swift flight, that can take us all to the Tower...The Gray has laid many a traps and walking through the thick trail is about the only way to get there, though there is still danger, it is far safer then being forever lost in the Gray's traps...I myself can barely vanish here and appear there, the only reason I can is because I can lock onto my brothers energy pattern, but to do so would also drain me of almost all my magic....*she shook her furry head*...No, I'm afraid we must walk...

This said she looked at the dragon and gave half a grin.

"I think I've flown enough to last me a life time or two...and I'm owed a brushing!!"

Fang looked over to Swish and nodded. "Fair enough then. We walk, but I will still carry everyone. The faster we travel the better." He lifted Der onto his back and placed the mystic wolf between his wings, directly on top of the now imbedded form of SevenStars. He was unwilling to risk a debate with the great cat. He was more than certain he would be able to navigate The Gray with the combination of his own nature, SevenStars, and the whole of the Elder Council to help guide him, some of which were more evil than anything any of this group had ever experienced. Nevertheless, to argue any of this would take more time, and he was unwilling to risk his friend's life on a matter of a technicality. Even by foot, in his natural form, he was much faster than any of them.

Fang looked up to the alicorn, which was high enough in the air that the others couldn't see him. Fang, though, know precisely where to look. "Maintain your link with me, and follow us by air. Do not try and navigate through the spell, only follow me. Analyze the spell of The Gray as you travel. The other elders are being as slow as they always are. If your link with me waivers in the slightest bit, I will stop and re-establish it."

The elder dragon then contacted the rest of the Elder Council. "We are going to be traveling through The Gray. I have some information from the neutral Great Cat, but not enough to do much. It is dark in nature, as we suspected. I can hear it whispering to my evil nature trying to pull me over. SevenStars is still stronger, and has not lost it's connection. Given how old the weapon is, that is not surprising. The Gray seems unable to affect older power, so I would not worry about that possibility yet. Even if the connection is broken for a time, it has several days reserve energy."

"Very well, Elder Fang. We will analyze as you go. By the time you reach the tower, we should be able to provide you with some more definitive answers."

"I suggest, very strongly, that you do just that, Council. I grow weary of solving problems before you have a chance to deliberate out a solution."

Fang ended his conversation with the council, and lowered a wing. "Everyone on. And Swish, you shall have that brushing. Do not concern yourself with that."

Not able to exactly believe what he had just seen he stubled forward. There had not been dragons spotted in this area for several years. And here right in front of him was one. And he was being asked to ride upon it. Without thought he moved himself into place each step a little firmer than the last. By the time he got to the top his mouth would certainly be dragging the ground!

Swish vanished from atop the fallen tree and appeared curled around Gamel's shoulders. Eyes sparkling with amusement.

"Think of it as an over grown lizard with an attitude and you'll be just fine!"

She then used her tail to gently lift his jaw and close his mouth. Smothering a laugh she turned her gaze back to Jewel and in the blink of an eye she was once more curled atop her head.

"Up we go M'Lady!"

Fang would have lauged...except that the only emotion he'd shown in the last 10 millenia was anger. It was partially because of his lack of emotional display that he was viewed with such contempt in some circles, while nearly worshipped in others. He discouraged worship. He wasn't God. He didn't want to be. He did carry SevenStars, which aside from the Spear of Destiny, was the most powerful holy weapon in existence. The difference between the two, was that the Spear got power from one source. SevenStars drew power from the seven arch-angels, and the Spear of Destiny made SevenStars look like a burnt out match stick by comparison of illumination and sheer power. Nevertheless, he couldn't stand being worshipped.

Once everyone was on he craned his serpantine neck behind him. "You will have to forgive me if the ride is less than smooth. The last ones to ride on my back were my wife and son..." He paused for only a moment. "...and they have been dead longer than most legends have been alive."

He then looked directly at Jewel, and spoke in her mind, only. "I put him on top of SevenStars to aid in the healing process, but I will be unable to do much while I use it's energy to ward of the Gray. I have very limited control over my scales. You will need to keep hold of him to prevent him from slipping off."

Der moved his eyes to the giant dragon. He could feel the power of the holy weapon that was imbedded between the creature's wings. It surrounded him, but didn't flow completely through him as it once had, back when he was Fang's familiar...because of Fang's marriage to Lady Wyndra, the queen of DarkShadow. The mention of the woman who'd caused them to be connected brought sadness to the old wolf.

Unlike Fang, he displayed his emotions, and he knew his draconic companion still felt them, too. Der had caught the pause, where he was fairly certain, at least, Gamel wouldn't have noticed. He spoke to the dragon's mind. "Thank you for the help, old friend. I know what it means for you to allow others to ride, particularly when one is a stranger. It is appreciated."

Der moved his eyes over to Jewel and Swish, and he smiled that obscure canine smile. The newly expressed love He and Jewel shared seemed to merge well with the bond that was instantaneous between the woman and feline. It didn't even bother him that Swish was a cat. His voice in her mind was weak, but still playful. "So I've gotta compete with a cat now, huh?"

She did as Fang asked, leaning her body over him to hold him in place. Swish slide down to coil half over Jewel and half over Der, adding a little of her own energy to the healing bond. In Der she felt the touch of Jewels love, therefore to Swish Der was also a link, and she did not care what he was so long as he was not a Bird!
Jewel could feel the sadness that Fang hide deep inside him, she did not understand how she knew what the sadness was from, nor did she understand why she could *Feel* and *See* the others emotions so clearly, this was new to her. It was the magik of the Great Cat's Companions at work. The bond would grow swifter then when a kitten was placed with its other half, because both cat and woman where adults. With the Magik of the others and with this forming bond, all of this magik was pure, so pure that it drove the Gray a few yards back from the trail.

"We humbly thank you Fang and your sorrow will never leave, but it shall fade into memories of love and good times"

Jewel smiles, Swish smiled, both gazed ad Der but only Jewel answered.

"You are irreplaceable Fuzzball...."

Fang realized the trip would be much faster than any of them would be anticipating. Any of them, that is, except Der. Fang had once had three forms. Der was one of them. Fang had used the energy that connected the two of them to perform a very in depth heal, and save his queen's life. That was over two thousand years before. Ever since then, the two had been apart. Fang had only had two forms before his marriage to Lady Wyndra, so the adjustment had been normal for him. But Der...Der had been created when the vampiric queen changed the human form of her draconic husband into a vampire.

Typically when a human was embraced into the DarkShadow clan, they received a familiar. Because Fang's true nature was not human, the rules changed with him. Instead of a nearby animal being converted into a human's familiar, the memory of the last animal he'd encountered, in Fang's case a Mystic Wolf, was infused with the energy used to create the familiar link. It also took some of the energy Fang used when polymorphing between forms, and created a third form alltogether. When the link between them had been broken, it took the vampiric nature with it. Fang was left, once again, with a human form and a draconic form, and thought his wolf form to be lost. Der had been beyond confused at first. But he met Jewel shortly after, and formed a bond with her. That bond linked his life force to hers, and because his was forever linked with that of a dragon, it ended up giving her a much longer life than she would have had otherwise. It also helped Der to form a personality and identity of his own, apart from the dragon. He'd shared his past with Jewel before, how he literally owed his life to Fang. Now, it would seem, he was going to owe it twice over.

Fang closed the distance to the tower quickly. In little more than an hour the line of the break in the Gray around the tower was in view. "There you are. The tower is but a few minutes away."

"Elder Fang."

The dragon let out an audible sigh. Because of the link between those he carried, minus the ranger, the others would know he was communicating mentally with someone. So, this time, he spoke aloud. "Yes, Council. What is it?"

"The Gray has overtaken Crystal Valley."

"I cannot say as I am all that surprised. Were you observing the valley when it happened?"

"Yes, and we obtained an analysis of the spell that makes it up, but it was not done without assistance."

"Do you mean to tell me someone was aiding the Gray to take over one of the largest areas previously unclaimed?"

"Correct. It was the dark sibling of the Great Cats. He and the lady he is paired with are strengthened by the Gray spell. She has been awakened because of it."

"Then we shall anticipate a meeting with them, as well. Thank you, Council. Send me the analysis. It will be quite useful."

Once he got the analysis, Fang stopped for a moment and craned his head back to the others. "The Crystal Valley has been overtaken by the Gray, and Lady Dark is awake. On the plus side, the Elder Council was watching when the valley was overtaken. They know the compilation of The Gray spell. As a result, so do I. It is complex, but I know what is needed to dispell it. We need to get to the tower." He turned his head to the South. "Hopefully the others will make it there soon. They will be needed, as well."

With that, the elder dragon started toward the tower, again.

Gamel was still beside himself, however, he was able to snap out of the dream that he seemed to be set adrift in. Removing an arrow from his quiver he set it knocked to the string of Wind Song and let his head move on a swivel. He would loose on any foul creature that sought to assail them.

There was a calm that came over him, he was atop one of the most powerful creatures to ever grace Ayenee. He would not show cowardice in front of one of Gea's mightiest of creations.

He had overheard the converstion the dragon had with the voices from this air. He had heard of the "Crystal Valley" and was well aware that "The Grey" had fallen upon them most hideously. His part would be small in the days to come so he only listened and offered no councel, he would fight when needed however and speak the prayer songs to Gea when he must.

Ever he rode, watchful and waiting. A new fierceness in his eyes!

Swish repositioned herself so that she was still helping Jewel, but could now see Gamel. One brow perked, her eyes sparked with humor. Any being dumb enough to attack a dragon would die of laughter at the site of an arrow. All the same, Swish found Gamel's readiness to fight admirable. His link to Gea added strength to the forming group. For the first time Swish thought they just might have a chance at winning!

"Fang," Der's voice was just as week as it had been before. He spoke slow and deliberately. He didn't have the strength to speak mentally. "The healing...is not working. I can feel...the taint...in my blood." His eyes moved over to Jewel, and his heart sank. He looked back at Fang. "Could you not...use SevenStars...to dispel the Gray?"

Fang nodded to his old friend. "I know, Der. I can feel the taint within you. Now that the elders have provided me with the details of the spell, I may be able to do something about it, but not from here. And to answer your question, yes, SevenStars could quite easily clear away the Gray from half of Ayenee in one burst, but there would be nothing to stop it from taking back over the areas. I do not yet know the source."

The dragon turned his head when he sensed the portal opening. He knew that doorway spell. He'd crafted it himself. He looked around quickly, taking a survey of the area. Flat plains that had been overrun by the Gray were visible all around, but the tower, shining with it's brilliant light, was surrounded by lush grassland that was still green. Their small group, diminutive as most of them looked on back of an enormous dragon, was just at the edge of where the Gray stopped. The elder dragon smiled internally as he saw the child, and those who, apparently, were following him. "I would not worry about the status of your heald much longer, Der. Hope shall be arriving in short order."

Swish lifted her head in time to see the 4 others step through the portal. Her heart soared! Kids! O my! Swish loved kids, they where the best playmates! But then she remembered what they where all here for an a shutter ran through her small furry form, Jewel noticed this and placed a comforting hand on the felines back, the other she raised to the new comers in greeting.

"I'm guessing your all here for the same reason as we are...To stop the Gray and save the Light?"

From the Tower Chesh and Lady Light saw them all, Chesh though focused on the injured Der. With out a spoken word between them, Chesh Vanished and appeared beside Swish. Giving her a gentle nuzzle, Swish knew what the plan was so she linked herself to Chesh and Der, while Chesh linked himself to Swish and Der. In the blink of an eye both felines and Der vanished, reappearing in the Tower where the Lady Light stood ready to heal him, with the felines help of course.

Anon didn't bother waiting for the others. As soon as he was through the portal, he ran directly up to the gigantic dragon. "Hiya, Fang! I got dem here. Jus like you sayed!"

The elder dragon nodded to the six year old boy. "Well done, Anon. Thank you for helping."

Fang watched as the other Great Cat appeared on his back, the trail of power leading from his back to the tower when they reappeared within the building was very easy to follow.

The dragon looked over to the young boy. "The Gray is in his blood, Anon. They will need your help. I do not think even Lady Light can remove it."

Anon's jaw dropped. "Oh no! Der got hurted!?"

Fang nodded. "Yes, Anon. It is very serious. Please, take Lady Jewel and go. I will bring the others."

The boy nodded. His face got deadly serious and he stretched his hand to the rear. The doorway that surrounded the portal closed and became the small red ball again. It flew to his hand and instantly vanished. Immediately, the six year old child's body was surrounding in an intense white light. A quick shimmer of that light was followed by a brilliant flash. In the place of the small child was a young man, clad in angelic armor, and literally glowing with holy light. The Gray backed off several feet away from the angelic being. Anon, grandson of Queen Angelus, son of Darion Angelus, and the Osric of the Omniclad, had shed his childlike form, and with it, his childlike mind.

He touched minds with the dragon, then disappeared from his position at Fang's paws, reappeared on the dragon's back, and placed his hand on Jewel's shoulder. "He will need something to focus on something that can keep his attention." The adult Anon smiled. "I believe you more than qualify for that."

With that, he and Jewel blinked from Fang into the tower. The angel, once inside the tower, looked to Lady Light and the others. He wasted no time in getting directly to the point. "The Gray is more stubborn than you realize. Fang has the knowledge necessary to dispell it, but we need to find the source."

He looked, particularly, to Jewel and Der, and his face sank. "As for Der, even with all of our combined efforts, the poison the Gray has created may not be able to be removed from his blood. Being connected to the Myst Realm makes him far more compatible with the taint's effects. I have been a holy-born healer and warrior for longer than Der has existed. I witnessed the event that lead to his creation. I have healed him many times. Still, I know I can't heal him alone. There is a minor possibility, with the assistance of everyone here, it can be accomplished. I know, for certain, that if there were any creatures in existence that I would want aiding these efforts..." He smiled as he looked at each of them. "It would be you."

Der was tired. He was weak, and he could feel the effects The Gray was having on him. Anon was right about one thing, the whispers of the Gray spoke very clearly to the chaotic nature of the Myst that was within him. He'd chosen not to share that with anyone. He should have known better than to think, he could have kept something in his mind from Fang. The elder dragon was more masterful at mental powers than anything else.

Der looked over to Jewel and smiled that wolfish smile weakly. "May as well...call these shadows back. The lightcasters...can take it from here." He took a deep breath, and continued. "Besides, I always liked...the way you looked with 'em."

Jewel had lived a life of many adventures, had met and seen many a creatures, she knew that what you saw was not always what was there, so this change from child to holy being did surprise Jewel, but it did not strike her silent in awe. Der was her main concern and with a soft caress of his ear she withdrew the shadow ink, blinking back tears she spoke softly.

"Ignore the whispers Der...I know you hear them, I've heard them to...I think we can join together and heal you...I have never lied to you, I wont lie now...I'm scared, scared for you as well as for all of us, but I would give my life to aid you"

Lady Light looked at the newcomers, then to Chesh and Swish, before she addressed the glowing being.

"We have met before, you and I...Tell us what is needed to be done to draw the poison from him..."

Swish and Chesh sat, one on each side of Der, their tails stretched across his thighs and wrapped around the others tail tip. They where ready, the energy in their forms gave their fur static cling, their ears where laid back, and their eyes swam with lightening colors. They where powerful alone, but together they could release enough energy to flatten a small town, yes, they where more then ready!

There was a feral sense growing over Gamel. It always happened when he got to close to stone buildings. He did not trust them, cages is what they reminded him of, you cannot cage a Wolf Brother. However, upon thought, a dry safe place to sleep would be appreciated.

Stepping up he watched the child become a man, which shocked him but he had ridden dragons now. His face remained stagnat with only the slightest show of shock. Slinging his bow on his back was the first step. He only waited and would follow Fang when the time came.

Sarah was starring at the tower as if she was seeing something from a story book. She was actualy, the story book of her mothers long dead mind. The tower was the shining beacon of Ayenee Capital City her mother would tell them, All of the Knights that performed the ever so chivilrous acts hailed from there! But where were they? This place looked ungarrisoned and abandoned.

As she thought she removed her pack from her back and opened the mouth of it. Taking the wrapped wax paper package from it, she let a smile dance over her face. "Theron, prepare your gift of hospitality. We will be guests here, behave."

"I have nothing on my person save my clothes and arms sis! Perhaps there is a loaf in that bag of yours"

"And salted cod. Its not much but It will be offered."

There eyes both turned to Nalya, they would wait her to lead them to where they would go. The experience was all new to them, however they remembered what they were supposed to do and how they were to conduct themselves. This feeling of security was starting to get comfortable, Sarah approved of her new companions.

Thats when the boy turned to an angel. And the flood of disbelief had stricken her again!

"Theron..." She said looking to him and found that his eyes had locked onto something and his jaw agape. Following his stare she dropped the loaf of bread and the package of salt cod to the ground hitting her knees in disbelief.

"Dragon?" The whimper of a voice fell from her lips with little force and none of the command that she normally displayed.

Der simply stared at Jewel. He could never get tired of looking at her. "I will fight with all I have, Jewel. That's a promise...now that I have something worth fighting for."

Anon nodded. "Yes, Lady Light, we have met before. It was in my adopted parents' tavern. I was the child who was starkly opposed to violence. That was before I could control my transformations. Thank you, by the way, for your assistance that day. For now, though, we have far more pressing matters."

The angel kneeled at Der's head, and touched the Mystic Wolf gently on the scruff of the neck. He relaxed a bit of his hold on the holy power that continually flowed through him, and tendrils of light stretched out from the shining aura that was around him. They would reach out and connect with Lady Light and the two Great Cats. Anon explained. "It's going to be necessary for us to pool our healing and light based powers. You will have to relinquish some amount of control over them in order for this to be successful. Because I'll be the one directing them into Der, and manipulating them once the connection is made, it's going to feel like I'm attempting to remove your ability to control these forces. I promise, I'm not."

He looked over to Jewel with an expression that screamed of the importance of his words, and expressed true sorrow at the same time. Still, he spoke to Der. "Der, you must maintain focus on Jewel the entire time. The Gray is going to fight against what we'll be trying to do, and if your attention waivers away from her for even a moment it will be much easier for the Gray to take over your mind. If that happens, because you're from the Myst Realm..." Anon took a deep breath, and released it slowly. "you'll die."

He looked around at the others. "Is everyone ready?"

Fang helped Gamel down, then looked back over to the others waiting by where the portal had been. He also felt the wave of emotion from Sara. He'd stopped sending out the strong calming feeling, thinking he'd be the first thing they saw. After all, he usually was. However, it was obvious her attention had been on the tower, because now the emotions flowing from her were anything but peaceful and calm. Fang decided to help her out, again.

Being the extreme master of mental energies that he was, he easily pushed forth another powerful wave of calming sensations. Simultaneously, his body was engulfed in white light, much as Anon's had been earlier, though on a far larger scale. His scales shook for only a moment, and another bright flash, though not half as astonishing as that of the angel, was seen. No longer did the amazing light of the tower stand in stark contrast to that of the midnight black color of the elder dragon.

Now, he stood in human form, and waved at the others. "Welcome, Nalya, Sara, and Theron. I am known as Fang, and this is Gamel. The others are involved in an in-depth healing procedure inside the tower. The one they are healing is vital to being able to dispel the Gray. Each of you will play a key role, as well. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I shall do my best to answer them, though I suggest we continue the short rest of the journey to the base of the tower while we discuss them."

Both felines nodded at the same time and Lady Light stepped forward and laid her hand upon the back of Chesh. Her eyes closed, mouth slightly open, head laid back, her long hair moved as if brushed by a wind that was simply not there, her skin began to glow with light, this light flowed down her arm into Chesh, then into Swish, and all 3 of them released control of thier powers to the Holy one with complete trust.

Jewel knelled beside Der. Her eyes locked on his. Slowly at first the colors in her eyes changed, then faster, tell her eyes became more like a silver screen, upon which played every good moment the two of them had shared. Her voice flowed into his mind, soft and whispery.

"See our past Der. Think of all that we have shared. Think of what the future could hold for us, not everyone else, just us. Be a little selfish and so shall I...No one else matters at this moment in time, but you and I...You are the lock, I am the key...You are the cloud and I am the rain...You are the small plant and I am the sun...Together we shine, together we light up the darkness, together we are one..."

Once Nalya saw her friend Swish her heart was filled with happiness but then she saw all that was happening and she become over whelmed. She stood there in awe for she never saw such creatures in her life or beings such as these. She hadn't noticed the twins looking to her for guidance, and even if she had she had no idea what was to be done.

Nalya felt out of place and she was now thinking that she was even further from her home than she had been the very first day she met Swish. Her heart now grew heavy and she, as she watched all that was happening, thought back on her parents and grandparents. How they were a family of shape shifters, each one taking the form of their spirit guides. Peaceful people who were so trusting of others and who would help any who was in need. And because of who they were they met their deaths. Memories were suddenly flooding back and she remembered the day she had come home to only find their lifeless bodies littered upon the ground. Their bodies bloody and beaten, not a one survived the massacre, she was now totally alone.

Holding back the tears Nalya had become very uncomfortable here and she let her eyes scan the area for a way out. As all were watching the small boy and all that was happening she slowly took a few more steps back hoping maybe that portal was still there and she would be able to slip back to where she had been before stepping through.

Anon took hold of the flowing energies and placed both hands on the Mystic Wolf. He analyzed how the Gray was affecting Der, and saw easily why Der was so easily affected once the taint got into him. He began to speak quietly, and his voice sounded as if an entire chorus of angels was joining in. "I see now prescisely what Fang meant. The Gray is affecting you so easily because the way it attacks is almost identical to the way the Myst invades minds, but on a much more powerful level. There's one major difference, though. The Myst only affects the mind. The Gray has attached itself to every fiber of your body. This will be difficult."

He focused carefully on the taint in Der's body, and on the manner in which it had become attached to the wolf's own genetic makeup. He concentrated, and began to take hold of individual strands of light. Each one would have to be attached to the strands of the wolf's DNA, and that would be a lengthy process. Anon began with a practiced precision, and almost immediately, the Gray fought back. It would be a battle, and if Anon lost, Der would die.

Sarah and Theron were calmed easily by Fang's calming wave. Most creatures would have been. But, Fang was almost impressed by Nalya. The amount of mental distress she would have to be under in order for her to still feel anxiety and fear with the calming wave of emotion Fang was sending out would have overwhelmed most other beings into a state of panic. The elder decided to take more direct measures. He looked over to Gamel and pointed toward the tower. "Go to the tower. I will rejoin you shortly."

Fang turned back to Nalya and the siblings and jogged over to them, all the while still letting the calming wave flow from him. It would feel stronger as he neared, and Sarah and Theron would be completely at peace by the time he got to them, feeling as if nothing could ever possibly be wrong with the world. That's not to say they would forget the predicament they were in, or the importance of reaching the tower, but their feelings about it would be completely changed.

Nalya was, apparently, a different story. For her, Fang would need to be more directly involved. He stopped in front of them and bowed respectfully, then looked at Nalya. He placed his left hand, the one without the gauntlet, on her shoulder in comfort. "I understand your reluctance, Lady Nalya. The unexpected can be frightening to say the least. I also know that everything happening so quickly can be very overwhelming. So do not concentrate on what may happen. Instead, think only on what is happening. Do not worry about the future, for you cannot add a single moment to your life by worrying. Nor will it help you to deal with future situations. Focus on this moment, and I promise you, your anxiety will leave."

Now Fang could easily have gone into her mind and forced her to feel better. Mental pathways were as easy to navigate to him as a maze designed for children where you could see over the walls, and the various chemicals and signals needed to trigger various mental responses were as easy to create as a mud pie on a rainy day. But Fang preferred letting people reach their own destination when it came to emotions. True, he had no qualms about encouraging them in a certain direction with suggestive emotional waves, but if that didn't work, he much preferred genuine results to forced ones.

"So, Milady. May I be so bold as to escort you and your young companions to the tower? It would be my great honor."

As the creature approached her she stepped back even more. It was in her nature to 'trust' but with what happened to her family she was not so willing to do so this time. All this was so unfamiliar to her and her fear had become over whelming. Her eyes shifted from the creature trying to find Swish. For what ever reason she had laid all her trust in Swish and though she wanted to call to her, she did not.

Please, please stay back."

She begged Fang to not come any closer, she did not want to show how much of a coward she truly was in front of the children but fear was getting the best of her. Fang stepped even closer......

"SWISH!" She cried out, a reaction she had no control over.

Her body pushed up against a wall and her emotion so strong that it caused her to instantly shift to her wolfen form.

She snapped her massive jaws at Fang and then darted off to the side in the attempt to find Swish.

Nalya meant no harm. She took several steps back while her eyes studied the area as if looking for an escape route. Her low throaty growls reached out to warn whom ever may attempt to approach her. There she stood even though she was frightened, but in her Wolf form there was nothing Nalya wouldn't do to protect herself.
