The Forgotten Forge: OOC

I didn't think ray of frost would do much damage to them, so I was saving it in case there were any more warforged.

Planning how to spend your spells is always a hassle. Its nice that you can usually stop and rest without too much worry about how much you need to conserve for a big fight.

mmmmmm....I need DA MADDD healing skills of Gorfan....go go go go...lol. Naw this has been fun thus far. For my first time and all...

Yeah I knew I couldn't sneak attack the swarm...shouldn't have even shot the crossbow...running = win lol

Actually, shooting the crossbow the first time was good, because you weren't really sure what kind of good it would do. Besides, at least you didn't keep on doing it, even after you saw it would be ineffective. *sidelong glance to Lowthor*

I was ineffective because I missed. Thats something else entirely.

Fortunately with the rate you're giving XP out, I should have more spell slots soon.

Yes, well, you've done a bit more now than in the last game. Plus, I've challenged you more. You have action points here, so I give harder challenges. harder challenges means more XP.

Ok, so Magus has been awol for almost a week now. With him exiting, and Jai making a convenient return, I'm going to let Jai play Magus' char for the moment. Magus will get Ahlias back the moment he returns, of course. This is just to keep me from making his char do stuff that he might not do if he knew the horribly cruel and violent torture interesting events that are just around the corner.

DM Rolls

There are some skills which the DM should make for the player. Appraise, Disable Device, Sense Motive, Search, sometimes Use Rope, sometimes Spot and Listen, sometimes Bluff.

When you use one of these skills, just tell me what you are trying to do, and I'll make the roll for you privately and tell you the results. The reason is that if you roll poorly, then you know in advance that you might have messed up the results, and that OOC info might bleed into the IC actions of your character. These skills are the ones which may provide you with false information if you roll too low. Anytime you are faced with a skill check for this,

So check the skill you are about to use and see if its one that the DM is supposed to make for you.

Thanks.

The following Skills are DM rolled:
Appraise
Bluff - For Secret Message, or Bluffing another PC only
Decipher Script
Disable Device - For Sabotage only
Disguise Check
Forgery
Search
Sense Motive
Sleight of Hand - Only when opposed by another PC
Survival - Predicting Weather or Determining Direction only
Use Rope - Securing Grappling Hook, Binding a PC Character, Tying a Special Knot only

For all of these, you can still specify to Take 10/20 on your own whenever such an option is available.

I was actually wondering about that myself so alright. We just say what we try to do in the post and you roll for us then right?

Yeah, I finally got back on here! As it where, the computer I was using regularly became...inconvient for my usage as of a week or so ago! Right after I said I wouldn't be awol anymore, right? Unforseeable circumstances!

Thank you, Jai, for playing Ahlias while I've been away - it's appreciated and you play him very well.

-Magus-

He didn't play you. Stop buttering up someone who isn't here. *whaps*

I played you and all I did was have you drool on yourself in the corner.
(I love drool-rule)

...*licks him* Ooo..baby, so do I!

Anyway.

Yeah.

One thing, tell me everything Ahlias now has - I had him pick up everything they didn't.

Well, lets see...

Map and Potions were picked up.
a bag of coins was picked up and put down again.
The Schema was picked up
The gold ingots and the second bag of coins was not picked up.

The point I was trying to make is that thinking about something, or saying something is NOT the same as actually doing something. And no one is really doing anything.

Ahlias kind of is, but he's not here to post.

Hmm, I am just not able to think of anything else at this point. Southern Wall is clean, forge is clean, eastern wall has the forge and the furnace. Western Wall has unopenable door. Dunno....*contemplates*
