The Forgotten Forge: OOC

Ok, so zeth quit. Jai had to leave for RL reasons.

You three are still capable of continuing in the sewers, leaving and coming back with reinforcements, or calling it quits altogether.

Let me know what you all want to do.

I'm still in. I'll take over Amnile or make a nother character if it is needed...

Otherwise, I'm posting now.

The IC thread is going to get paused for a day. I'm working on bringing out new player up to speed post-haste, and we will get moving again probably tomorrow. The day after at the very latest.

If it would help I give full permnission for the DM or another player to control Amnile.

Guys, try to be more mindful of whats in your hands and what isn't. For instance, Soryn did good by drawing his weapon before attacking. No one else did that. I'm cutting you guys slack for this battle, but I'll be strict in the future.

If you didn't explicitely state that you drew an item or weapon, then you didn't. And if you did and then never stated that you stowed an item, you will still be holding it in your hand. If you don't pay attention to this in the future, it will cause your problems. For example, no one could've gone down that rope while holding weapons. No one said they drew their weapons again after the climb.

So, for those of you who didn't specifiy you had or didn't have weaponry out, I'm assuming you did. For Soryn, I'm letting you have the extra action for your surprise round. Normally, you would not be able to draw a weapon and attack in the surprise round, unless you had the quick draw feat.

In the future, if someone does something they aren't supposed to, such as draw a weapon when they already had their hands full, and they aren't available to correct their mistake, I'll decide what they did and try to get them to the final point they wanted to be at, and then, you just have to live with whatever I decide your character did. Usually that will mean you dropped something. Sometimes better, sometimes worse.

So don't try to climb a rope while holding your greatsword, otherwise, you'll get to the top of the rope only to find out that you left your greatsword down at the bottom of the pit.

Ahh yeah I wasn't sure what I was able to do in the Surprise Round since I looked around and it was pretty vague on the srd *shrugs* Might have saved me the damage though if I knew since I would have done something far more productive and less damaging to me >.> Well, hundreds of beetles should be fun to get rid of....I hope

So if anyone sees magus, get him to post. I was planning to give him until tonight, but then i realized its a weekend, and i don't make players post on the weekend. So basically, if he doesn't post something by the end of the weekend, i'll post for him on monday, first thing, and we can get moving.

Someone remind me to make sure Magus notes that he used one of his oil pints.

I think we've all learned a valuable lesson here. Normal weapons aren't useful against swarms of diminutive creatures.

I really wanted to ask you about that. Why on earth didn't you use your magic?

And of course, You do have action points available. You probably would've hit if you had used your ray of frost and an action point. Would've done damage too since its not mundane. I'm just really glad that you didn't use an action point for the sling bullets. Those wouldn't even have hurt them.
