Soryn

Taking a look around once they got in the room, he moved toward the crucible to inspect the long snaking heads out of curiousity, taking out a dagger and placing it against one of them to test out the heat though he figured everything was just an illusion.

(W20)

Soryn experiments with the hydra-thing and finds that it too is an illusion.

As Soryn experiments, one of the bonfires begins to move directly towards Brass.

Brass

Looking to Soryn, he watches, and wondered. "What is this place? It is rather....odd." As the bonfire moved towards him, he took a step backwards.

(W20)

The bonfire continues moving directly towards Brass, and when it makes contact, it just passes right through him. It is apparently another part of the illusion

Gorfan

Gorfan watches intently as the so-called bonfire moves towards the warforged and passes straight through him. He attempted (if approrpriate) to discern the origins of the magic going on within the room.

Spellcraft check? (1d20+3=19)

((OOC: not sure if I can make another check, but did it anyway for sake of story advancement...))

Gorfan still cannot tell exactly what sort of spell is at work here. At first he though it was just an Illusion, but now he's picking up the earmarks of the Divination school. Its almost as if this spell was somehow working within both schools of magic. Perhaps another experiment of sorts. You might wonder if Alo would know more about it, given his intense interest in the arcane.

{OOC: Alo takes a -150 XP penalty for not posting.}

"I believe this is the last room we have access to unless you want to venture back up to figure out if there are more passageways. Regardless, I think we need to return back. Doesn't seem like we will get anywhere right now."

Gorfan

The dwarf nodded in assent and said,"Indeed, as we would not wish to venture down the northeastern passage of the first rotator room as yet and it seems that we cannot access the other ways available as yet...so returning back to Alo and Rorsa would be good for now"

With that being said, Gorfan turned to head back up the passage they had come up...and turned to Brass and Soryn inquiringly.

{OOC: I want to get the group back together, and get Alo back in the game, so I'm kind of railroading you here. If you wanted to do something else before this, feel free to make mention of it.}

Barracks (W8)

The three of you finally return to the wolves' new den. Alo, you just finish adding the spell to your book as your companions return. It has been a long day for all of you. Few of you have eaten, or drank during the course of the day, so fatigue is starting to set in.

Soryn

"We should take this time to eat....I'm also thirsty"

He could feel his stomach rumbling and all that activity from before has really parched his throat for some reason. Searching through his things, he aims to pull out whatever he can find and see if they have enough to eat.

Alo

Alo looked up as his companions entered, and in a massive coincidence, he had just finished adding the spell to his tome.

"Did you find anything interesting?"

Soryn

"Yeah, we found a room back there I think you should take a look at. Something magical going on in there..."

The rogue shrugged and then continued "Nothing else really I think"

Alo

"I think I had better visit that at some point then." He closed his spellbook "I will need to rest before I can prepare my new spell, but then I am ready to continue."

Soryn

"We all need rest...and food"

Rummaging around, he looked for some rations in his belongings that might hold him over longer.

Soryn finds no food in his own gear, but there are the rations that were included in the handy haversack from Lady Elaydren.

Gorfan

Gorfan also rummaged through his belongings and found some rations including hard cheese and strips of salted meat, but little else.

"I've found some cheese and salted meat in my backpack, so we could partake of this and save some of the rations Lady Elaydren provided us for times of more dire need"

Alo

Alo checked his pack, but found he had used up his own rations earlier. "I do not have any left, but if you will allow me to I will share what you offer."
