Nightwalker Station
While moving through one universe to another, there was a slow and rhythmic clanking that reminded Cadence Newborn of no sound she had ever heard on a working star fortress. It was a Transuniversal Teleportation Drive, though, that powered the Nepleslians through space in a hurtling rush that took microseconds. It was nothing less, nothing that would take too long or hurt too much, and nothing that changed the way Cadence felt and experienced, so far. Her fists clenched in her lap as she sat in one of the pre-assigned seats during the flight. Tens of thousands of carefully selected Nepleslian people had come, along with the Second Lieutenant and her NSN captain, Ally Gally. She stood from her seat after unbuckling from the seating arrangement.
It was easy escorting herself around to her new living arrangements on Nightwalker Station. The huge colony project undertaken by Nepleslia in the universe of Ayenee was to be her new home. She could settle in on her own time. She was wearing a uniform, though, and had duties to carry out. First, though, she wanted orders. Finding Ally Gally outside of the officer's mess in little time, she noticed that there was a small group already beginning to approach the Captain. Thinking not to approach the captain at the current time, she hesitantly took a step backwards.
