The faint sound of footfalls echo back against her ears as the small figure weaves between the lights of the city, head bent downward dark curls hide the face of this night stroller, hands shoved deep with in the thin pockets of the leather coat tug the hem down past hip level ,with each step a small flash of red shimmers against tawny flesh. The thigh high leather boots muffle her movments but she isnt trying to hide, instead she is lost in thought tell her reflection in a pool of gutter water awakens her mind to her surroundings. Soft lips whisper a curse at her foolishness as she scans around her, then breaths deep in reliefe.

The citys sounds have become to normal, the crash of trashcans, the honking of horns and music blasts are nothing to her ears but background, like crickets and birds these things are normal here . Flickering shadows out of the corners of her vission are also of the norm. she need not look around to know what is close enough to need watching or what doesnt concern her. Pausing in her pace ,head tilting a fraction to the night ,one hand rises to draw back stray nightraven strands from her cheek, listening now to something of the city..violance...perhaps a blood hunt?..her body twitchs, the hand hidden clentchs tight as she strains to hear from where.

Echoing sounds from both ends of the small street the alleyway opened up into have her standing still like a total fool. A shiver runs down her flesh, benieth the dark leather the small hairs that line the nape of her neck prickle with warning, but the sounds of violance crash with the seductive sound of a soothing melody. Petal lips purse before the bottom one becomes trapped by small teeth gnawing at it gentely, the look of debate upon her facial features is more then evident as she shifts her bodys weight from one foot to the other then murmurs: ...Where to go, what to do...

Name: Maze
Sex: Male
Apparant age: 3 1/2 (24 in human years)
Type: Lupus Stargazer Theurge (Werewolf Shaman, born in wolf form)
Disposition: Devoted to cause
Sire: Unknown

The sounds of violence that rang forth to Temptation's ears were not the sounds of a blood hunt. Those were called by elders to hunt down and destroy corrupt underlings. No, these were the sounds of a good old fashioned slaughter.

A small group of young, thirteenth generation vampires, the ones who had just recently been turned within the past decade, had made the mistake of thinking they wouldn't run in to any lycanthropes here in the middle of the city. After all, they weren't in Central Park, and that's the only place werewolves existed in New York, right? Their thoughts turned out to be another foolish mistake by young vampires.

While Maze was hardly a warrior, he was more than a match for a few young, foolish vampires with next to no abilties.

He had discovered his werewolf nature at a very young age. He'd been born in the wilderness and a group of hunters took out his entire pack when he was still a cub. That's when it happened. His first change into Crinos occurred, and the hunters were nothing but scrap within minutes. Now that he knew the truth, and the story relating to the Weaver, Wyld, and Wyrm, these vampires, agents of the corrupted Wyrm, didn't even last as long as the hunters had.

This city was hardly his home. He was a Stargazer, and a Theurge. Plus, he was lupus. He much preferred the surrounding of The Wyld as opposed to the structures of The Weaver. But, he'd been sent here to investigate how many others he could find. His kind were dwindling far too rapidly, and more and more of them were becomming lost. His pack's spirit, Grandfather Thunder, had sent him to retrieve some of those lost. So, that's what he was going to do.

These vampires were just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. He could Sense The Wyrm just as easily as almost any of his kind. And they had Wyrm taint on them like they'd been soaking in an ocean of it for weeks

Follow the sounds of the musical melody or seek out the sounds of violence? The smell of fresh spilt blood drifted on the night wind, mingling with the stench of the city and the cities living and undead. This scent made her mind up for her.

Turning to her right she continued down the street, remaining as much in the shadows as possible to avoid notice from the small groups of human street trash, street sellers and would be pimps. While she was in the mood to find the source of the blood smell, she was not in the mood to tangle with the cities living or unliving nightlife.

The possibility of finding another of her kind is what drives her to wander the streets each night, while she has caught the scent of others like her, even a glance of one once, the cities undead population makes her more then wary of boldly searching the streets. She’s had a few run ins with the undead gangs that roam the night, and while they provide a good work out in testing her skills, she has a few scars from these battles and it took forever to get rid of the stench the blood suckers left behind.

The drifting scent now brings that godd awful smell along with the scent of fresh blood, one small hand raises to press the back of fingers to her lips and nose, in hopes to at least muffle the smell. Stomach now churning she slows her near silent pace as she turns off the main street onto a small and darker side street, following the smells and now the sounds of scuffle a few hundred feet ahead in the darkness. Thinking it far wiser to blend into the shadows and move forward just enough to view what is going on, then to be stupid and walk straight into a battle not of her own making.

Close enough to now see a group, no a gang of undead youths, having what seems to be a free for all battle with one individual, she moves forward a fraction more then blends into the shadows of derelict store front. Both hands now firmly pressed into the over sized pockets of her jacket; tighten into knots, teeth gnawing silently on her lower lip as she debates the wise ness of watching or simply turning and going back the other way. However, she has not run from the undead yet and something about the solitary figure they are attempting to take down intrigues her enough to ignore her bodies warning signals. Instead, her eyes narrow in concentration on the battle before her.

Rhysis
If she strained her eyes enough, it would not be at all difficult to tell what the nature of the solitary figure was. While he wasn't in fully Crinos form, which was the shape the Garou were most commonly thought of as taking on when they shifted. He was in his Glabro form, the one that was halfway between Homid and Crinos.

Generally, he preferred to remain in Lupus form, or, when fighting, in Hispo, which was the halfway between Glabro and Lupus, but, in the middle of a massive city such as this, it was downright stupid to run around as a wolf, or anything that looked like it. Humans may have been weak, but there were way too many of them to take such a risk, even for the most steadfast Get of Fenris, the warriors of the Garou.

Maze fought with expert precision. He wielded his klaive, a traditional bladed weapon about the size of a bowie knife, with grand discipline. There were also a collection of other fetishes, or items that were imbued with various types of spirits to grant them special abilities, aside from the klaive, that the shaman utilized to fight off agents of The Wyrm.

It was not long before the majority of the young vampires had been slaughtered. The few that weren't finally realized that they had special abilities that would allow them to run away from the enraged werewolf easier. They wouldn't have gotten away, but Maze could sense the other garou, so he simply shouted out after the vampire. "Run leech! Run back to The Wyrm!"

He turned, then, and, while reverting to Homid form, placed the Klaive at his side and nodded to Temptation. "It's nice to see my search wasn't totally a loss. I am Maze, Stargazer Theurge of the Straper pack, under the guidance of the great spirit, Grandfather Thunder." It was a traditional greeting. He stated his Tribe, Phase, Pack and Totem. In this case, the Totem was a very powerful spirit, and rarely heard of to guide a pack. Generally packs under Thunder's influence were bound together by a storm crow. But, Maze was an excellent Theurge, and had managed to convince Grandfather Thunder himself, to be their Totem. It was not the most powerful spirit who had ever been a pack's Totem, but it was certainly enough to impress most garou.

SinfulFeline
The fight between the gang and the lone figure proved to be entertaining though very brief, and she nearly took off at his shout to the undead, but curiosity held her in its grasp. As he moved toward her, she almost forgot to breathe, so shocked by the transformation before her eyes. While she knew many forms could be taken by their kind, she herself had only managed the transformation to Crinos when needed for fight or flight.

Almost 2 years had gone by since her encounter with a full Crinos male, an encounter she wasn’t likely to forget. She had been working as a Ranger in a wild life preserve when on patrol one late night what appeared to be a large wolf leaped out in front of her jeep. She jerked the wheel to the right but not in time to avoid a collision with the animal. She not only hit it but also rammed her vehicle into a ditch. Escaping with a few minor cuts and bruises she made her way over to the prone animal in hopes of offering it aid, it was alive but seemed badly injured, she thought it was unable to move quickly due to the trauma it received...She was wrong! Just as she leaned in for a better look, its head reared up and its jaw snapped down on her forearm. She gave it a hard kick to the ribs and scrambled, crab like, back wards, then watched with utter amazement as the beast wobbled to its feet and vanished into the forest. Leaving her to her own fate and the discovery of what that one bite could do.

Now, like then, she was both in awe and terrified at the figure before her. His words meant little to her, she knew nothing of Tribes, Phases, Packs, or Totems, but she did understand that he could be deadly, she’d seen the fight, but his tone was one of honor and he wasn’t threatening her so far. She wasn’t a coward by nature, before or after the change and did not want to show any more fear then she already had by standing idly by in the shadows while the fight took place and she was not about to turn tail and flee like some frightened pup. With a deep breath to steady her nerves, both hands clenching hard enough to send her nails into the palm of her hidden hands, she took a step out of the storefront’s shadow and boldly eyed him up and down, then trying to sound braver then she felt, her words came out with a rather cocky tone.

"Interesting fight, you had there...You know those bloodsuckers or was that just for the work out?"

One dark brow perked slightly as she tried her best to plaster even a tiny smile on her paling lips. She wanted to know more about what she had become and this was her first real encounter with another, but already she was coming off lame and knew it. With a faint shrug of her shoulders, no longer trying to hide her nervousness, she took another step into the streetlights glow. Unclenching her right hand she with drew it from her pocket and offered it with a genuine, though small, smile.

"I’m Temptation.... Just Temptation...No pack, tribe, or anything else.... And that truly was an interesting fight and transformation to witness"

Rhysis
Maze took her hand and shook it, though awkwardly. He knew that was a common greeting amongst humans, and it was apparent that she had been raised human. He would have thought she hadn't changed yet, were it not for the telltale signs of the aura about her. Those who hadn't ever changed were almost impossible to trace. Something about the first change set off the necessary genetic code that allowed them to be tracked more easily.

"No pack, or tribe, you say?" A mild laugh came from him, but it stopped suddenly when a crow with blue tipped wings sounded from the top of a nearby building. He turned his head to it, was silent for a moment, then nodded.

He looked back at her and, unbeknownst to her, activated one of his rituals, which made him far more charismatic, to the point that even the most alluring of Cainites, or vampires, would not be able to outdo the level of which someone felt they could trust him. "Then I suppose we have a lot of work to do if we're going to figure out who and what you are." He pulled out a small mirror he carried with him. A Garou could travel to the umbra, or spiritworld, through any reflective surface, including a knife, but pulling a weapon would not, exactly, be the best move when confronting someone who knew nothing about Garou culture, even when speaking to them with his ritual active. Actually, the traveling could be done even without a reflective surface by dancing the spiral, but that was a practice of The Wyrm, and only the betrayers, the Black Spiral Dancers, performed such an act, as it immediatly corrupted whoever chose to do so.

"I am a Gar...a werewolf of honor. There is much that an unknown such as yourself will have to learn. We would be best suited to travel to The Umbra to discuss such things." He held the mirror out to the side, and offered his free hand, once more. "Take my hand, and I will guide you."

SinfulFeline
She with drew her hand from the handshake with a slight sense of unease at how odd it had felt. While it was true that she wandered the cities streets at night, she was not at ease with up front contact with others, she never had been.
For as long as she could remember she had always felt odd around others, different in some way that she couldn’t quiet put her finger on. She had grown up with her father as her only role model and they led a near solitary life in an Indian reservation on the edge of the wild life preserve that he worked at, the same one she later took a job at as well. She was told that her mother died at her birth and her father was never very forth coming with answers to the questions she asked about her over the many years tell his mysterious disappearance right after her 19th birthday.

She still had many questions and maybe, just maybe this Maze could answer a few of them, even if his presence made her feel odd and awkward. His words and laughter sounded a bit as if he was making a slight joke at her expense, she could however over look that, after all her first words hadn’t been the brightest thing she had ever said and her tone wasn’t so respectful.
The abrupt ending to his laugh however caused her attention to follow his line of sight towards the crow that had just called out. Glancing from the now silent Maze to the bird and back just in time to catch the nod of his head, a look of confusion and concern flashed across her facial features...
What in the world, she thought, is this person for real or is this some kind of game someone is playing. If this is a game, she wished she knew the rules and she swore she had better not be some kind of unknowing pawn.

With in a blink of time her whole nervousness of trusting this unknown man changed. She did not know why, did not bother to even question why, but she now instantly trusted his words and actions. Taking his hand she opened her mouth to ask where or what was the Umbra, but instantly thought is better to save her questions tell later, because while Maze himself no longer made her nervous, something about standing out in the open was making the fine hairs on the nape of her neck stand on end. With a faint smile and a glance at the dim street, she took a step closer and spoke in a more suitably hushed, but slightly humorous tone.

"I feel a little like Alice and the Looking Glass.... Falling down the rabbit hole and all...Lead on then Mister Maze, Werewolf of Honor..."

Rhysis
A smile crossed his face and he held the mirror so they could both see their reflections in it at the same time. Then it happened. The two of them were surrounded in a seemingly alive and swirling mist as he stepped through to The Umbra. The world around them became a mixture of blue and black. Older buildings appeared about the same, more recent structures were distorted to look like they had been painted by an obscure artist. Some of the almost brand new buildings, as well as things that moved a lot, like cars and bikes, completely disappeared. People, however, were easy to see. Different shapes and colors of light moved about the umbra, linked to their physical hosts.

"We are Garou, some of very few creatures who can travel to the physical world, and the spirit world. The world you are use to is the physical world, or the Material Plane. This, is the spirit world, what we call, The Umbra."

SinfulFeline
Forget Alice and the Looking Glass, it felt more like a peyote induce hallucination, which she knew could not be so. This was actually real, vividly real and almost too much for her to wrap her mind around. Her fingers grip on his hand, which had been tell now just a light touch, now became a startled squeeze.
The emerald coloring of her eyes brightened as the iris’s enlarged, taking her surroundings in quickly, before turning to lock on Maze’s face. Her mouth literally fell open, but nothing came out but a soft uh, uh sound, before she managed to gain a little of her composure back and snap her lips closed. Still not lightening her grip, but no longer totally speechless, she uttered words she knew had to be the lamest thing she had thus far spoken.

"...Holy Cripes... The Umbra is like a dream blur...."

There was no way she could explain that this place reminded her of dreams she could not quiet remember upon fully awakening. Even if she could explain it, he was liable to think she was a few marbles short, hell he probably already thought that. But there was no way she was letting go of his hand right now, no matter how childish she looked standing there clutching his hand like some life line, and staring like some star struck little girl.

She had no idea if letting go meant she couldn’t go back, or if letting go meant all this would vanish. She wasn’t sure which idea she liked or disliked more. It being fake would mean she was back at square one and perhaps needed physiological help, him vanishing and her being trapped would be far worse then wandering the streets of a city she at least semi understood.

"This place, This Umbra...It’s real, right? ... Your real, right? Cause I get the feeling I should be waking up any minute now"

Rhysis
He smiled in an oddly comforting manner, and used the fact that her hand was all but plastered to his, to pull her along a few steps, so that she could get the sensation of moving within The Umbra. "Yes, Temptation. This place is very real."

"We Garou, as well as most of the Fera, which is what we call the other Changing Breeds, are creatures of both this world as well as the physical world. We are some of the only creatures with such a blessing, and we use it to protect Gaia." The mention of Gaia, of course, lead into the description of what Gaia was to them. That, naturally, lead into an explaination of The Triat of Weaver, Wyld and Wyrm, which, in turn, lead into an entire mass of discussions.

All in all, Maze spent nearly two full hours explaining the world of Garou culture to her. He described everything from modern Totems, to Garou history, to the Pentex Corporation. If she decided to grip his hand the entire time, he wouldn't fight it. It didn't bother him. If she did, at some point, release her grip, then, again, he would let it be so.

SinfulFeline
She felt like the entire New York library had just been stuffed into her head and hoped by some miracle that she could remember it all, if not, at least the things that would be important to her survival. The strangest part to her was the fact that some of the information he told her sounded so familiar, but just out of reach, as if she had known all these things, been told all these things but that they had some how just faded from her thoughts like dreams do upon waking.

She did lighten her hands tight grip and eventually released his hand all together, but still felt that stepping away from him and wandering even a few feet away from him would be the wisest of choices. She had spent her entire life learning to survive on her own, to toughen up with things got hard and never to cling to anyone or anything, yet here she was sticking to this guy’s side like glue. Some where in the back of her mind the idea that something about her clinginess just wasn’t normal, circled around her thoughts tell one word came to mind.. Fetish ... He’d told her of special talents, skills, fetishes that could do such a mind trick, now she slightly, but un-fearfully wondered if he had used one such talent upon her. She also had a ton of still unanswered questions and thought there was no time like the present to voice a few.

Turning towards him with a hesitant smile perched upon her lips; she locked her eyes on him and with all her inner hope, willed him to not only know the answers she seeks, but to answer them truthfully. Might as well start with a semi easy one she thought, then took a deep breath and started asking.

"Is there a breed of Garou called a Get of ...Something? Could the Umbra be where my father vanished to or was taken too? And how can I find out my tribal linage?"

Pausing to take a breath she looked away from his face and let it out with a soft laugh at herself, then returned her gaze to him.

"I must sound like some brainless pup with all my questions... I’m sorry for that Maze, and I thank you deeply for all that you have shown and told me in the last few hours. I guess now I’m hoping you’ll still wish to be a teacher of sorts, but if not I’ll understand. I just ask that you help me find someone who...."

With a frustrated wave of her hands and a deep sigh she mumbled aloud, but more to herself then anyone else.

"If you bolted now, I’d understand. I’m not use to asking for help and I know I’m not asking for it correctly right now"

Rhysis
He nodded to her. "Yes. Get of Fenris. They're the self-proclaimed warriors of the Garou nation. They back it up fairly well, too."

Her next question imposed an interesting test for him, as did the one after it, but not quite on the same level. Simply because of their nature, and the fact that the active genetics in Garou blood tend to skip several generations, Garou are looked on as outcasts by their entire human or wolven societies, to include their parents. Because of this, it is often the parents of a Garou who cause the first change. When a Garou's first change happens, they have the tendancy to slaughter whomever happens to be around, family or otherwise. Of course, the Garou also usually remembers killing them once they get a chance to make sense of everything brought on by their first change. Time would have to tell with her.

"There is a chance that your father was lost in The Umbra. If that's the case then there is a chance, once you get settled into a pack, you may be able to find him."

He pondered her third question for a few seconds before answering. Your tribal lineage will be a bit more difficult to find out. Your best bet would be to consult the Theurge of whatever pack you end up with so he can talk to either the elders or to their Totem."

He shook his head to her. "There is still much you have to learn about your own people, Temptation. Your questions are not all that unexpected, especially for one who's lineage has yet to be found. I would be more than happy to continue to be your teacher until you find where you feel you belong. Now, do you think you're ready to travel through to the physical world, again?"

SinfulFeline
She had always thought Get of Fenris was an Indian tribe name, something her father use to tell her when she asked of her mothers family. He would say someday and hopefully not someday soon, she would meet members of the Get of Fenris tribe, but she had always assumed he meant an Indian tribe.

In all honesty, she didn’t remember the first time she changed. Her father had made sure they lived in near isolation from anyone. They had lived from her birth, in a small cabin built by her father’s hands on the edge of an Indian reserve and the forest. On the seldom occasions they encountered people, her father usually rushed them away from the cabin before she could get more then a glance of them. His explanation for this was that it was dangerous, for them or her, she wasn’t sure. After his disappearance however, she wanted answers and thought the best place to get them was from the closest tribe.

The welcome she received from the tribe living on the same land as their cabin, but many, many miles away, was not a nice welcome in any way. Angry shouts and thrown objects convinced her she wasn’t going to get answers from them, and a late night visitor with a warning never to return to the Indians homes, but instead to seek her questions answers from the city, sent her searching.

She found the city to be disgusting, loud and downright horrid. She longed for the forest where she could run in silence and not worry about the undead and their awful stench. She hated the constricting clothing and the rudeness of the people who dwelled in this over crowded place.

She listened intently to his replies and found that while her questions had not been fully answered, they had be answered with as much information as Maze knew and she felt he wasn’t the type to lie with out good reason.
The talk of finding a pack and of asking the pack’s Theurge made her abit apprehensive, but his reassurance that he would remain her teacher for so long as she needed him to be, set her a little more at ease. She just wished she didn’t have so many faded spots in her memories, that she could recall all of these things she kept thinking of as faded dreams as realities from her past.

The idea of moving from the Umbra back into physical word made her feel a bit uneasy, but then again it might be nice to back to a place she at least understood. So with a nod of her head in reply to his question of returning, she stepped closer to him once more. Then out of pure curiosity she turned to look at him and asked with out accusation in her tone.

"You used a fetish on me, didn’t you? One that made me trust you enough to not fight or flee when I became wary..... Are you still using it ?"

Rhysis
He chuckled lightly and nodded his head. He was one of the more lighthearted theurges he knew of. While still very much in touch with the spirits, as all theurges were, he didn't give off quite the same "creepy" vibe that most did.

"Very perceptive of you. Yes, I used it. The effects last for an undetermined amount of time, but I've never seen them remain in effect once the person who it was used on discovers what happened. It is possible that you're feeling so close to me because, for now, I'm the only person who's shown any amount of understanding on a level that you've been searching for it."

He began the process of returning to the physical world, and explained every thought and intention that was necessary to do so in the process. The next time they went to and from The Umbra, he would have her go by herself. Being a theurge, he could find her if she managed to get lost in transition, which did happen, occasionally, but not enough to make any Garou actually worry.

When they returned to the world she knew, he gave her a chance to recover from the travel, and pointed to the direction of Central Park. "There is only one place in this city that I know of containing Garou. We should speak with them, first."

SinfulFeline
His words seemed to ring true to her, while she wasn’t quiet ready to totally trust him with her life, she wasn’t afraid of him either. He had treated her a lot better then the Indian tribesmen, he’d answered more questions and with a lot more honesty then her father had, he’d shown her things, told her things and put up with her childish questions and clinglyness with out a fuss and was still willing to offer his help to her. Overall, this made him a good guy in her book and a friend, which is something she really had never had.

"I think it did wear off quiet awhile ago, but your right. I trust you because you have earned both my trust and friendship with your honesty and honor. Even when we find the pack, I’ll eventually belong in and the Theurge is as helpful as you are.... Well.... I think I’d like to remain your friend...."

She wasn’t sure if what she said got the point she was trying to make across to him. He was the first Garou she had any kind of feelings of friendship towards and wanted him to understand he was so far, her closest thing to kin she had since her fathers vanishing. She hoped he understood what she’d said and at this time had not taken her outburst of feelings for anything more then an offer of undying friendship.

She listened and paid close attention on how to return to the physical world. Upon the completion, she felt abit sluggish, but recovered quickly. Her eyes followed his hand toward the parks direction, with a steadying breath, she shrugged, and then with humor and a smile, she replied.

"Should we hold hands and stroll the park then?"

So far, Central Park wasn’t a place she had explored. She’d gotten close, but it seemed the closer she’d gotten the more reeking undead she had run into and found that after a battle with one of them she felt more in need of a bath then more exploration.
Nevertheless, if Maze said the park held answers, then the park it was. She did however drop her left hand back into the deep pocket of her jacket and wrapped her slender fingers around the cold metal that lay within.

Rhysis
He nodded in agreement with her. "True friends are rare in these dark times, especially outside a pack. If friendship is what you seek, then I am more than willing to offer it."

He started off in the direction of Central Park, explaining what they might expect along the way. He hadn't spent all that much time in the city but, being a Theurge, the spirits had clued him in on most of what had been going on lately.

"The leeches may be a drain on Gaia, but they aren't stupid. Most of them stay away from places where they know our packs reside. The cage known as a zoo in this park is one of the most commonly known areas for Garou packs. The leeches usually don't come right up to the park, but it's not uncommon to find them a few blocks away from it in somewhat large numbers. Young strongheaded ones try to form plans to take us out to get themselves some sort of renoun." He laughed. "It never works. Stupid leeches."

"The word in Cainite, dog!" The correction was followed up by an immediate series of six gunshots, which were easily avoided by Maze grabbing Temptation and leaping to the side a few dozen yards.

The Theurge looked over to the source of the attack. A large man, taller than some Garou in Glabro, and just about as broad, stood holding a revolver with a smoking barrel. Maze had studied enough about vampiric culture to be able to determine what clan this one belonged to. He was Brujah, the vampiric version of Get of Fenris. Only, the Get didn't have the shameful past of falling from being scholars and turning into nothing but aggressive brutes. The Brujah did.

Maze laughed as three other vampires, none of which looked to be Brujah, stolled up behind the other. By the looks of it, the Brujah was their leader. "Of all the clans in the world you pick a Brujah to be your leader? Pathetic" Maze switched to Crinos form, considering there were a couple humans watching, figuring it would be best to just force them to forget this incident alltogether. He also pulled his Klaive, figuring, if nothing else, the silver in the blade would probably trigger a change for Temptation, as well.

SinfulFeline
With his words, she smiled one of the truest smiles she had in a long time. She did how ever wonder if having a friend outside of ones pack was not allowed, or just did not happen often. Eh, either way he had her friendship so long as he wished, no matter of anyone elses opinion.

While they walked she listened, but not only to his words but to the sounds of the city night. Something in this area, the part of the city surrounding the park, always made the fine hairs on the back of her neck stand at attention, and tonight it felt no different. She was just about to ask if there was a way to enter the park by using the Umbra when they where set upon.

The smile fell from her face the moment she heard the vampire’s voice. Just like very other time she had tried to go to Central Park, these bloodsuckers put in appearance and wanted to battle. If Maze had not grabbed her she would have leaped to one side or the other, but because he did, she at least was beside him.
She was pissed off now, how dare they attack just for the thrill of the fight, when all she wanted was to find answers and now she was going to end up covered in stench again. With a growl of anger escaping her throat, she hissed out.

"Every bloody damned time..... "

She with drew her hand from the jackets pocket, bring with it the blade that had been nestled there. The blade was silver, in the shape of a boomerang, a tight leather binding in the middle fit snuggly in her fingers grip,a leather thong led from the middle to a band around her forarm, but the rest of the blade was honed razor sharp from tip to tip and double bladed to boot.
She spent years learning how to use this handcrafted blade and kept it in perfect condition. It seemed she would once more get the chance to use it on undead flesh. With another growl, she followed Maze’s example and changed to Crinos form and took two steps to the right of Maze, but kept her body level with his to show the assholes they had more then one beast to brawl with

Rhysis
The brujah was the only one in the small group with celerity. Thus, he was the first to mount an attack. Seeing the Garou in their true form set ablaze the rage within the vampire. This particular Cainite obviously didn't have a whole lot of humanity about him to start with, or else the attempted attack would have been a bit more hesitant. Still, it was of no concern to Maze. Celerity may have made him quick, but Maze was quick without such a discipline.

With a simple shoulder toss and a quick swipe to the throat, the vampire was rolling on the ground in pain. The spirit inside his Klaive was a war spirit, which meant that any damage done to any creature with the blade was potentially lethal. In this vampire's case, if he didn't get control of himself and heal quickly, it would be no more than a few seconds before he reached final death.

The next vampire leapt after Temptation with a short sword coated with silver. A third fired three shots at Maze, one of which caught him in the shoulder. The final one, obviously Nosferatu, held back and tried to hide, as was their nature.

SinfulFeline
She waited tell the vampire swung his blade towards her, ducking down and to the right away from him, then quickly right herself and swung her bladed hand out towards the back of his neck. As soon as she felt the blade connect with flesh and then bone, she placed her body weight down on her left leg, pushing the blade with her weight and twirled her body around to face the backside of the now nearly headless bloodsucker. Lifting her left foot, she gave the body a hard shove, at the same time she pulled the dripping blade back.

The sounds of gunshots brought her around towards Maze in time to see the last bullets impact. She paused, wondering if he needed her aid, but then remembered there should be one more bloodsucker then the two down and the one with the gun. Figuring Maze would alert her if he needed back up with the gun-totting leech; she looked for the other target.

Spotting the one trying to hide, she started towards him, teeth bared and loud growls issuing from her throat. She figured he was going to run at any second, if he did she would go help Maze, but if he didn’t? Well she was already sporting bloodstains, what was a few more

Rhysis
The vamp who thought himself a decent enough shot to take out a full Crinos werewolf with only three bullets left in his gun looked to the beast running toward him in full Rage and decided he had a better chance at running away. The trick with that was, Maze stopped running as soon as the leech turned. When he got a few more feet away, Maze leapt through the air and pounced directly on top of him with the blade and claws and teeth.

The Nosferatu saw Temptation and jumped out of the way. He followed that up by the use of a discipline known as Subterfuge. While only mildly skilled in it, he was talented enough to hide from those actively seeking him, which allowed him enough time to escape Temptation's wrath.

He would get word to the Prince of New York, a vampire elder who ruled the city's undead populace, and likely be only mildly reprimanded. After all, the Prince, at the time, was a Nosferatu, as well.

SinfulFeline
With the vanishing of her quarry, she let out a howl of frustration before turning to seek out Maze. Once spotted she waited tell he was done with the now gun less vampire before moving towards his side.

This encounter was very similar to the encounters she had alone when attempting to get close to Central Park. This one, just like the others, left her mad and in want of a cleansing bath. She failed to understand why the bloodsuckers in small numbers thought they could take out a Garou or two with out complications, and in plain sight of the human dwellers of this city. For as far as she had figured out, announcing to the public you where not human, was pretty much frowned upon by both Vampire and Garou communities.

With a deep sigh, she held up her bloodied blade, and then glanced around for something to clean it on. Finding nothing but the lush grass of someone’s side yard, she shrugged and figured it would have to do for now. Moving no more then two steps from Maze, she leaned down and swiped her blade across the damp grass. She then stood and looked to him, waiting.

Rhysis
He looked over at her and chuckled a bit to himself. He then quickly shifted back to the more easily accepted Glabro form, placing the weapon back where it belonged as he completed the shift.

Once the change was finished, he looked over to her, again, and awaited her transformation. He hadn't paid enough attention to her before the battle to see how long it took her to change, but when Garou shifted, they always had to go through each of the other possible forms before they could reach the one they wanted. The only exception to this would be, for instance, if he wanted to shift to his standard wolf form, since he was a Lupus by birth, he could do that instantly, regardless of what form he was in. Similarly, she had the capability to return to her Glabro form. First, however, she had to know of the capability. Thus, he would simply watch her, for now.

SinfulFeline
She had changed many times before, so changing in its self wasn’t the problem. Usually she wandered a few alleyways tell she found some one’s clothing hanging from a drying line. She would then "Borrow" the items she needed, find some place dark and uninhabited to change forms, then get dressed. She’d then give up her searching of the city streets for the night and return to her hotel room in order to obtain a bath, clean her weapon correctly, and redress in her own more comfortable clothing.

Nevertheless, tonight she wasn’t alone, and didn’t have the luxury of following her usual pattern after one of these encounters. Instead she slowly shifted through forums tell she once more looked human. Standing abit awkwardly in the shredded remains of her clothing, her blades tether still firmly tied to her arm, and the blade its self nestled in her hand, she used her free hand to brush a few wild curls from her view and meet his eyes. While she was embarrassed to no longer be decently clad while in another’s presence, the light red tinting of her cheeks made this fact apparent, she was proud of herself for holding her own against a vampire or two. She sort of hoped her battle skills showed Maze that she was not some lost little defenseless pup, and that he had chosen wisely when he decided to help her find her way and to befriend her as well.

However, she wasn’t sure she was ready to walk into the park and encounter others of her kind in such disheveled attire. She had wanted to make a better first impression on those they would be meeting, but it seemed fate was far more often cruel then kind in her case when it came to first impressions. With a small laugh and a wave of her hand to indicate her appearance, she spoke with a slight tone of good humor.

"I think I need more stretchable clothing if I’m, going to have to keep changing forms and remain decent" ......

Then truly looking him over her brows raised in question as she asked with curiosity.

"Why are your cloths not shredded rags as well? Is there some trick of shedding them that I need to learn?"

Rhysis
Maze laughed and shook his head as he started moving toward the park, again. Obviously he was far less concerned with how her clothes looked than she was. That was probably due, in large part, because he was born as a wolf. He now understood why humans wore clothing, but he still didn't see why they couldn't just get over their immature view of their own bodies. "No. Mine are just dedicated to me. That means they change with me. Most Garou's talismans are. We'll take care of it when we get to the park, for you. But, we do need to get there first. Just watch out for any more leeches."

He continued on his way, placing his own weapon back on his side and moving to the park, and eventually the zoo. He didn't go to the main entrance, though. He was getting as close to the zoo as possible, which meant going over one of the huge external walls.

SinfulFeline
For some reason she had the urge to stick her tongue out at him, but she waited tell he had turned his back to her before doing so. She then glanced down at herself and shrugged with indifference, other then the stench left behind by the Vamp’s the tattered remains of her clothes were not such a problem. While keeping up a few footfalls behind him, she managed to select the largest two remaining pieces of her clothing and used one to bind her chest and the other to wrap around her ample hips. Once both items where tied in place she simply wrapped her weapons leather thong around her forearm, leaving it loose enough on the last wrap to slip the blade into place between the folds of the stretchy leather.

Picking up her pace to match his she once more walked beside him, keeping a weary eye out for more interruptions in their path towards the Zoo. She wondered why they where not using the main entrance, it seemed a far easier way to go once she spotted the wall they where approaching. She kept her voice hushed, but felt the need to ask him why they seemed to be sneaking in instead of just walking in the front doors.

"Maze ? Is there a reason we are not walking through the front doors, but instead going to hike ourselves over that huge wall? Unless there is some kind of hidden door that I’m not trained enough to see, that is what we are going to do, right? "

Rhysis
He nodded as he stopped a couple yards away from the wall and turned his head to her. "That is exactly what we're going to do. The area where the other Garou are is just over this wall and off to the side. All we have to do is give the proper greeting once we land, and we should be fine. Not only is it much faster this way, but we would have a much more difficult time trying to enter undetected if we just strolled right through the main entrance. Plus, I don't have any money.

SinfulFeline
Stopping when he did she cocked her head slightly to the left, then righted it and patted her upper thigh area, in a mock search for money.

"Damn, no pockets...No cash"

Then cast him a humorous smile before letting it drop from her lips and quirking a brow in question.

"Proper greeting? ...Uh, I don’t know any proper greetings besides. Hello, hi, nice to meet you... Do you greet and I listen or should I know this greeting before we hike over?

Rhysis
He smirked and shook his head. "Just follow my lead." He held out his hand for her to take before he would jump over the wall. It was extremely rare for an untrained Garou to be able to perform the Leap of the Kangaroo, which was a very common ability among their kind, and what he would use to get over the wall. The only exception to this were those who were Lupus born, such as himself. The leap was a natural feat for them. But, then agian, she had some natural abilities, as well. Even if not, she would be able to learn them much more quickly than it took him to do so.

"Are you ready?"

SinfulFeline
With a slight shrug and a smile she placed her hand in his then turned to face the wall.

"Ready as I'll ever be...."

Rhysis
Maze took her hand and pulled her close enough to hold on. Then, with seemingly no effort, he leapt, with her, over the wall and landed only a few yards away from a group of wolves.

Immediately, three of the canines moved in front of another, most likely their theurge, and bared their fangs in challenge.

Maze gave the proper sign of respect and introduced himself in the same manner as he had done to Temptation earlier. "Greetings, honorable Garou, I am Maze, Stargazer Theurge of the Straper Pack, under the guidance of the great spirit, Grandfather Thunder." He gestured to Temptation. "My companion is Temptation, a lost pup in search of her roots."

SinfulFeline
She barley had a chance to glance back at the wall they had just leaped over before she heard the growls. Turning to face the bared teeth of the wolves, she stood stock-still but not frightened, head held high to keep her eyes locked upon the head wolf, but silent while Maze spoke the greeting. In the back of her mind, she stored the information on how to properly greet others of their kind.

She wasn't so sure she liked being refered to as a lost pup but figured that was pretty much what she was at the moment.

She kept her hand in Mazes and waited to see what would happen from there.

Rhysis
The group approached him all at once. Their demeanor was quite difficult to decifer. Most likely, they were testing to see if the scent they got from him, that of a wolf, was genuine, considering it was mixed with that of the vile vermin outside the park boundaries.

One of the three growled something out that would be intelligable to Temptation. Learning the language of the Lupus was difficult for one adapted solely to the humans' language. Still, Maze seemed as calm as ever. When the growling and glancing had finished, Maze nodded and looked over to Temptation. "Follow my lead."

He immediately shifted to his true form. He was slightly larger than the one in the back who the three were guarding. They, however, were obviously a bit bigger than him.

SinfulFeline
The growling did not thrill her, nor did the staring contest, but they had not leaped on her or Maze yet, so she wasn’t fearful either. The smell left behind on her flesh by the vampire she had dispatched kept giving her the urge to wrinkle up her nose in disgust. She wished she could have taken a shower and changed before entering the zoo grounds by the glances they kept giving her, she knew they where not thrilled with her smell either.

She turned her head as Maze spoke. When the battle had began earlier she hadn’t had time to watch, just react, so for a moment now she watched him transform with total amazement. Snapping out of it a few seconds before he fully transformed, she herself did the same.
Shifting from human to wolf with less speed the Maze, she managed the change just fine. Once complete she took half a step to the side of Maze and with out thought did an all over body shake as if attempting to rid herself of a bit of the vampire’s blood stench.

Rhysis
The wolf in the back stepped up, barely brushing against the three before him, and they all stepped aside. The fourth stepped up to Maze and Temptation, sniffed them both, then looked off to the side and was silent. Temptation would mostly likely be unaware of what the other was doing.

Maze, however, knew all too well. This was, in fact, their theurge, and he was speaking with their totem, or some other spirit that was a representative of such. When he was done, he looked back and, once again, growled something that Temptation would be unable to understand. Maze nodded and the four other wolves turned to move to a large den. He turned to Temptation and simply nodded in the direction they were going as he, himself, sat back on his haunches and waited.

SinfulFeline
She was a bit apprehensive about following the wolves and leaving Maze behind. He had not steered her in the wrong direction yet and she figured if he had meant her to come to any harm, it would have happened by now.
With a slight nod of her head towards Maze, she then turned and trailed along behind the wolves, keeping her eyes straight ahead, head held high and refusing to tuck tail and bolt.

Rhysis
She would be lead away from Maze, much farther away than she would feel even slightly comfortable with. The walk would seem like it took hours, even though the den was only a few dozen yards from where Maze remained motionless. It was the use of another gift. They were testing her reaction to both the gift, and the fact that she would be forced into an unfamiliar situation with Garou she didn't know if she could trust or not.

Eventually, after leading her into the den and all the way to the back, as far out of the sight of Maze as they could get her, the Theurge, the one the others had been protecting, padded over to one of the other wolves. The two enchanged a glance, and a few quick grunts and growls. Then all the eyes of the pack were upon Temptation. It was not simply the four she had seen. In the cave were three more Garou. She would also probably notice an unusually large amount of spiders crawling about, all seeming to look at her, just as the Garou did.

SinfulFeline
She followed the wolves before her trustingly. Perhaps fully not trusting them, but knowing Maze had put her in their hands and she fully trusted Maze. She did not glance back to see how far they had come, nor to see where Maze stood, she knew this whole thing in its self must be a test of some kind and she refused to allow herself to fail it.

Upon reaching the end and finding herself in the room full of wolves, she chanced a glance around and half wished she had not. Spiders and a whole lot of them seemed to be gathered here among the Garou and while she wasn’t frightened of spiders, they didn’t exactly thrill her either.

Rhysis
Temptation would be confronted with a scene that, if they had the capability of remembering it, would send any human into a chaotic panic for the rest of their lives. The wolves surrounded her in a tight circle and, at the exact same moment in time, each of them rose from their wolven shapes, and became the horrific Crinos creatures. Immediately afterward, the spiders, which numbered in the tens of thousands, all came together in the center of the circle formed by the werewolves, directly in front of Temptation. They piled one on top of the other and, in a subtle blink of light, a terrible man-spider formed, with a huge body that resembled that of a black widow, and an overly muscular torso of a man.

The arachnid-being glared at Temptation with glowing red eyes, and the Garou around her howled in the presence of their leader.

Two eyes of an orange-yellow color glowed within the darkness.
A stranger had arrived. The cloak billowed against the wind and the sedan looking hat(like that of van helsings) had a feather of sorts in it.
A phoenix feather.

The stranger, ever vigilant whistled a calm deep tune. He didn't at first appear to be armed, but then again, looks could be decieving.

Temptation held her ground and kept her eyes focused upon the leader before her. She trusted her gut feeling not to bolt from this cave and she trusted that Maze had not sent her off to become chow for the Garou and Spiders that now surrounded her.
The beings stare was un-nerving and the howls made the fine hairs on Temp's skin stand erect. She wasn't sure if she was suppose to speak or remain silent, she just knew that she must remain still and wait for the next move of the game to unfold.

Transgression aside the billowing shape moved in and out of the shadows.

"Wolf, there's supernatural signature's to the northwest of your current location. Check it out."

The figure continued to whistle and then replied in a cold heavy voice.
"On it."

Stamina mixed with adrenaline to alter the form. The form wasn't garou, that much was clear. It was something....much more malleable and dangerous.

Where cloaked figure stood a moment ago, now stood a black wolf with the same colored eyes.

Running off in the general direction given, the wolf could smell the prey within twelve miles.

The wolf was panting when it reached what appeared to be a mysterious cave.
The wolf grunted and changed once more the forelimbs shaping back into itself.

The eyes gleamed in the darkness and the figure stopped at the doorway, sniffing the edges of the cave with his nose.
Garou, and whatever else lurked inside.
The figure walked inside and slid a hand into it's cloak.
Stopping about ten feet inside the cave, the figure stopped moving and sniffed silently, waiting and watching, as it slid a crossbow from the cloak with two arrows tucked into it.

When this game starts up again, will you guys kind of do a recap? I think recaps should be done in any thread once in a while so those of us who are interested in getting involved in the role-play have the opportunity to do so. Just a brief sum-up would do just fine.

Thanks, guys.
